I reached out when I felt our son needed someone to talk to about his feelings as he was separated from friends and sports, and overwhelmed with online learning. John was absolutely the best! Since John works with kids, he had a program suited for the pre-teen age group and their emotional needs/communication that didn't feel "childish" to my 10 y/o. After about 2 weeks (1 session a week) , our family dynamic changed for the better. And the next time we saw family, they commented on my son's maturity and communication style being leaps beyond previous encounters. As parents we want to be able to provide everything our kids need, but leaning on a caring outsider like John to provide guidance felt like we invested in our child's well being for life.!

I can't say enough good things about Active Healing in Oceanside. From the moment I walked in, the…read moreenvironment was calm, welcoming, and professional. The staff genuinely cares about your well-being, not just rushing you in and out like so many places do. The practitioner took the time to actually listen to my concerns, explain what was going on with my body, and tailor the session specifically to what I needed. Nothing felt cookie-cutter. The work itself was incredibly effective -- targeted, knowledgeable, and clearly done by someone who understands how the body really functions. I walked out feeling noticeably better, with improved mobility and relief that lasted well beyond the session. You can tell this place focuses on real healing, not temporary fixes. If you're dealing with pain, tightness, stress, or just want to take better care of your body, Active Healing is absolutely worth it. This is now my go-to spot in North County, and I'll be recommending it to everyone I know. Highly, highly recommend.

From the owner: Focused Trauma Care for Veterans, Military, First Responders & Their Families…read more At ActivHealing Treatment Center, we recognize that healing from trauma—especially the kind carried by veterans, active-duty service members, first responders, and their families—is rarely a linear journey. You may find yourself in a place where weekly outpatient therapy no longer feels sufficient to address the depth of your symptoms, but committing to a 24/7 residential treatment facility may not be necessary, feasible, or aligned with your current life circumstances. That’s exactly why we designed our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)—to meet individuals where they are in their recovery process, offering a higher level of support and structure without removing them entirely from their families, communities, or daily lives. Our PHP provides a comprehensive, trauma-informed treatment experience during the day, allowing you to return home in the evenings to continue practicing new skills in real-world settings. It’s a powerful option for individuals who need more than talk therapy—a healing space that integrates clinical care, nervous system regulation, peer connection, and holistic modalities that promote long-term change.
