The physical therapy is fine, but their billing is a complete mess. For over a year, we have spent hours on the phone with their billing department and have provided them with proof of payment from credit card statements. The last we heard from them was a voice mail saying they were still looking into it. Today we just received a letter threatening to send us to "an outside collection agency." The amount is only $60.00 and we have already wasted too much time dealing with them. It is no longer worth having further discussions. I am paying it an moving on, but my family will certainly never use them or any of their affiliated offices again. read more

Dr. Kha Nugyen, my Physical Therapist at Rancho Physical Therapy in San Marcos and his team are the most incredible Physical Therapy office I have ever been to. 5 mths ago, I had a right full knee replacement. Unfortunately my surgery was not a smashing success. I have prolonged symptoms and being treaded under Worker's Compensation which does not make it any easier.... (I ran for an AED to save someone's life and hurt my knee...) Dr. Nugyen, by a long shot -- is the most sophisticated, educated, capable, knowledgeable and compassionate PT I have ever worked with. I had quite a bit of PT in my days, -- and frankly lost belief in PT. Dr. Nugyen though, single-handedly, turned my belief into his profession around. Even though I have some significant post-op issues and may face (hopefully) a revision, - Dr. Nugyen keeps working with me with utmost diligence and patience. His knowledge base and training is superior and I could not have asked for a better PT. Though it's a busy office, the staff besides Dr. Nugyen, the office manager Katie, assistants (hope I get their designation right?) Dana and Angelica are absolutely fantastic as well. Katie is always upbeat, with a smile on her face. Capable and seemingly never stressed she welcomes any and all with a smile and handles multiple tasks with ease and grace. Dana and Angelica keep providing clients with heartfelt care, uplifting attitude and are ever so helpful. Having been there over 30+ times, it feels like home and being amongst the most caring, compassionate and dedicated friends that really welcome all and do care Thank you Rancho Physical Therapy You are an awesome crew, make the world a better place and provide us, who are hurting and trying to get back to a sense of normalcy and adequate functioning, with not only hope and off-the-scale grand professional care. Kha and his crew are an outstanding bunch! I have been to physical therapy before and they knock that place out of the park. They are attentive, personable, and actually care about the work they're doing. You don't feel like you're just another name on the list! I felt like my concerns were always heard and valued. Which is super important because you know when your body doesn't feel right! As a young person, many medical professionals tend to overlook or downplay my concerns which later bites me because the issue ends up getting worse. I didn't have that issue here at all! I really appreciated Kha and his disciples (LOL) for their incredible work. You're my heroes! They also are super friendly and funny. In a way I'm kind of glad I got hurt and needed their services. I met some pretty awesome people there. I needed help putting back in place a moved neck vertebrae, and tackled carpal tunnel in the process. My exercises were manageable and it was nice being able to see them on the app with how many reps. If you like checklists, the app they have you download allows you to check off all the exercises you do (you don't have to mark it off if you don't want to. I didn't). They also print out your exercises for you in case that's easier for you. Overall, they were pretty organized and very clean! They have you wash your hands when you come in and they wipe down the beds, chairs, and equipment you use. Very COVID and hygiene conscious and I appreciate that. If you need to go to PT. To my surprise the reviews here up to now were great, they must have changed crew and owners. I got this PT clinic through my workmen's comp insurance and was happy that it was right down the road from my home. I received 6 sessions but one was cancelled due to lack of staffing and the inability to reschedule. PROS: Knowledgeable staff, efficient time with each patient, and great strength training and stretching exercise suggestions. They book people back to back so the place is always full. CONS: The facility is a tiny tight space with hardly any room to comfortably do exercises. Although all the PT trainers were well skilled at getting all the exercises done in an hour with the patients, they had every space area in the hallway, bed, and room pretty full which made it uncomfortable at times as you feel like someone is right up next to you. The large TV screen was always glaring overhead in the main room with sports or extreme sports for teens on while the office music was on loud all the same time. It was hard to relax while the front desk phone was ringing along with music and tv on, the foot traffic of people was almost at standing room at times, and the clinic director sitting in the middle of the room complaining about incoming new patients. I came in late on one of my appointment day due to traffic with the 78 backed up, large pot holes on the road, and police guiding traffic that created more congestion to the facility. Parking lot was filled due to the college located in the same building so I had to park pretty far from the front entrance. Upon entering I wait to be checked in and understood that I was 10 minutes late. The clinic director who sat in the middle of the room said he out loud he couldn't take me in because he had 2 new people he had to do evaluation and they were full for the day. I apologized twice and made no excuse for being late. Again being that its a small space everyone could see and hear what was said that I was late, he mentioned that it was not enough time to do my exercises, and they were full. I asked if I could be re-booked for a later time but again he said he was too full, so I asked if I could come in another day and he agreed to reschedule me. I was embarrassed almost made to feel shamed for being late on top almost blaming me for the office being too full. I came in on my next appointment day and I was met with the cold shoulder from the clinic director and was given to another PT therapist. For me the most important was completing my PT as required by my workers comp physician and getting the help I needed to recover so I can go back to work. I felt more uncomfortable and awkward. On my last day of 6 session the Clinic Director cancelled my appointment due to lack of staffing even though he was there and said they could not rebook me because my session expired since its my last day by the insurance. He did NOT give me a final evaluation of my PT progress nor was there any attempt to help me get more session from my insurance. Their office told me to call the insurance myself if I wanted to continue to have more PT session. This was new because I spoke to the other front desk person earlier I asked how much sessions I had left and she said if I needed more they can call my insurance to request for more sessions. I believe the clinic director did not want to help me so I was dropped. Nothing worst than being in pain going for physical help and having to deal with unhappy clinic director in a small space. I would have liked to give a great review and recommend this place to others. Sometimes saying sorry for being late is not enough. read more

This place is awesome. They cured my terrible frozen shoulder, little by little. I now have full range of motion. They were easy going and there was a nice atmosphere from all of the staff. I went to them, late last year and I'm so glad I did because COVID happened right after I finished. I can't imagine if I'd have had to live with that pain all this time. Today was my last day coming here after several months and I am sad. I chose Rancho Physical Therapy because they were accepted by my insurance but secondary because of the Yelp reviews/photos. Why kind of Yelper would I be if I didn't use Yelp as a tool to discover! Low and behold I found a easy to access beautiful location with such amazing therapists and aids. I recommend coming to this location because the girls that work here will make your day better even when you're in pain. Kaylie the office manager has been great about working around my schedule and handling my insurance. Towards the end when I needed an extension and she did everything she could to find out how I could get one. Alexis is the physical therapist and she is so attentive towards your conditions and will do endless amounts of research to better your needs. Alexis was patient with my TMJ and upper trap issues. I felt like I was never going to get relief but after coming to Rancho Physical Therapy I began to use the tools I was given to help myself. Sarah is Alexis' aid and I will miss our conversations. Sarah is great at being attentive and making sure you're comfortable. I had to do this pillow case nightmare of an exercise and could never get it right. Sarah made it fun and would even join in so I could lead by example. Alexis and Sarah are very encouraging and always worked with me when I had a migraine. I never felt guilty for not being able to do everything some days because they were concerned about my needs. They even bought special gloves for me since I'm latex free! The office it's self is incredibly gorgeous! Big open windows of green trees, butterflies, squirrels, and birds. The have 2 separate rooms in case you are into privacy or you can hang with all the girls in the open room. They are great at keeping everything sanitary and there's a TV for your viewing pleasure. WOW, great people there. Very close to my house and Kallie Wickman is my physical therapist. In 2017 I was told to have surgery on my back. I have fought surgery since then. But then I found Kallie, at Rancho Physical Therapy in Oceanside and he worked on my periformis muscle and doing lovely 'clam' exercises and with his knowledge of the body, got me walking better for the first time in months. If you listen to Kallie and do his exercises, you can get better. I have had 3 other physical therapists that were OK; but I consider Kallie very knowledgeable. I am very hopeful for the future and am now working on my arthritic neck to gain more flexibility. Suzi is great at the front desk, Kevin is very kind when helping with exercises. Mike???? I had a kinda ghost pain in my upper thigh and my doctor in Encinitas sent me to physical therapy. They originally set me up with a group close to my Doc's office in Encinitas. My son was going to a PT clinic where we live in San Marcos and was really impressed with his therapist. So I decided to go there because it was close........BEST decision ever!! The Manager, Ben, was my therapist and he figured out more about my pain problem than any of my doctors did. It made sense, when he showed me what was happening and why.......That was in October, 2017 and today, August 23, 2018 I was discharged.....and greatly improved. The staff is amazing....Perry, the person in charge of the front desk, kept me up to date with appointments and updates to my doctor. Funny, kind, encouraging, efficient and helpful.....that is Perry. He is the first person you see and usually talk to and he keeps the office running like a well-oiled machine. He also can do the PT assisting when needed. He also has great, corny, but clean jokes for me whenever I came in...I will miss that. The PT assistants (hope that is the right word for ya'll.....if not, sorry) were amazing!! Bree, Karina and Megan were the ones I worked with the most. They followed Ben's plan for the workout and kept me moving. They were always friendly, encouraging, and watching out for my pain level while trying to get me to push myself. I couldn't have done it without them.....and I will miss them a lot. Ben, well, what can I say about Ben besides he was AMAZING. I didn't always like what he made me do.....but He was so positive with his help, ideas for my treatment and his faith that I could improve.....that I did! He pushed me with humor, knowing that these new strategies would help relieve my pain. He was patient with me and always encouraging. He made me see that I could help my own pain by teaching me how to move and exercise. HE is really the BEST Physical Therapist (actually Doctor Of, I think) that I have ever had help me. I, of course, would like to believe that I was a special patient to them and that is why everyone was so nice.........but watching them all for many months of Physical Therapy.....I know that they are all that way with all the people that come to them for help! They are so involved with helping their patients become pain free........young patients, older patients, female, male...patients with arm, balance, leg, back, neck or whatever problems are all treated with patience, care and concern for their welfare. I have been to physical therapy a couple of times over the years, but I have NEVER seen a better group of physical therapy experts treat their patients as well as this office of Rancho Physical Therapy. Receiving my physical therapy treatments at this office was a very positive experience.......and I could talk about them all day.....but try them out yourself if you ever find yourself in the need of physical therapy......it will be well worth it. My only CON......is the office is kinda hard to find in the building......but when I did walk in....it was definitely worth the trouble! I just took my son here and he saw Alexis Adiarte for a hip injury from playing football. He's been out of the game two months due to the fact that a chiropractor, an MD and a different PT did not diagnose him correctly. In fact all three had a different story!! Alexis basically gave him an adjustment and he walked out a different kid. She took time, examined him carefully and you could tell she was really thinking about what was happening and it totally PAID OFF! I was sent to Rancho Physical Therapy for a knee injury, a torn PCL and MCL. It was my first time having a serious injury. The staff were super friendly start to finish, and made the difficult process of rehabbing my knee go as smoothly as possible. They also were very flexible with times, and willing to help as much as possible with home exercises and questions. I saw Alexis during my time there. Not only do they have great service, but they are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Michelle McClure is the greatest physical therapist of all time!!! So glad she has been my therapist through my first (failed) surgery and this second one. She is creative and tough. She explains what she is doing and why so even if you are crying you can kind of laugh through it and know you are getting better! Clinic Director, Alexis, is the greatest physical therapist of all time! I am pleased that she has been my therapist throughout most of my rehabilitation from several major hip reconstructive surgeries. I have been to five different centers over the years from Orange County to San Diego for various different issues. Rancho Physical Therapy in San Marcos is BY FAR the best I've experienced. Specifically, Director Ben Kurtz, Doctor of Physical Therapy is outstanding. He carefully and actively listens to what the nature of the issue is and articulately explains what the proposed treatment program will consist of and why he is prescribing each particular portion of the program and what it is specifically designed to accomplish. It creates a complete understanding of the objectives and what your role is in the recovery process. I Initially saw him to attempt to rehab an almost complete tear in the supraspinatus muscle of my rotator cuff that was scheduled for surgery. He put me on a program that successfully built up the surrounding muscle tissue to enable me to avoid surgery. He did the same to strengthen my hip joint following replacement surgery. Recently I tore a calf muscle and Ben was able to quicken the recovery period with deep tissue massage and a series of stretching and strength building exercises that minimized scare tissue build up.
