Not only is he incredibly skilled, but his bedside manner is hands down the best I have ever had the privilege of experiencing. I have been seeing him for a little over two years now, and his care has truly helped me through a tough time. Being young with MS and all the unpredictable muscle pain it has caused me has been difficult. Dr. Brizzie has given me immense pain relief and has significantly improved my quality of life I never thought would be possible. I can do so much more now. Because of neck pain, my chiropractor referred me to Dr. Brizzie. He gave me injections to help the pain and ordered an MRI. He took the time to clearly discuss all my options dealing with my neck. The next visit, I mentioned that I had injections for my knee but it was so painful and treatment was worse than the pain. He explained how he could give a pain injection for that to which I agreed, and it helped so much. He ordered an MRI for my knee with copies to be sent to my Orthopedic Dr. He took the time to give me a call about the findings, and if I wanted a second opinion on knee surgery, who he would recommend. Dr Brizzie is heaven-sent. I've struggled with hip bursitis for so many months, been unable to sleep on either side, had to sleep on my back, which gave me chronic backaches. Another orthopedic doctor gave me cortisone injections without ultrasound guidance, and they did nothing. I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I first came here a year or two ago. I got PRP therapy and over time it 100% healed me. I recently got a knee injury Sat morning. I had a knot on my knee the size of a baseball. I went to my primary care physician because I got new insurance. They did absolutely NOTHING for me. I have several spinal issues. Dr Brizzie had been amazing at managing my pain. He referred me to a fantastic neurosurgeon who had to fuse L5/S1. Started seeing Dr. Brizzie earlier in the year due to my previous pain clinic severely dropping the ball on insurance authorizations and overall disorganization. I was chronically in pain with low back SI issues that also impacted my leg and hip (right side). I also had chronic muscle weakness in my left quad that wouldn't heal properly. Dr. Brizzie was able to restore me to pain free full function with a combination of different treatments. We started conservatively to see how I would respond (which is a good thing) and while I saw some improvement it wasn't fully there so we proceeded with the guide PRP to regenerate the tissues and structures in my low back. It really did the trick and now 12 months on things are still great. As regards the muscle issue in the thigh, we did the Shockwave treatments for that and it got the healing process underway so I could finally return to training. I feel like Dr. Brizzie is unique and special. He really gets to the root cause and figures out how to fix your problem. I was referred to Dr. Brizzie by my general Dr. Stephen Tinio. I have OA and torn meniscus front and back on both knees. I had tried cortisone injections then gel h/a shots which did not work. After my initial consultation with Dr. Brizzie I was excited to do the PRP shots in both knees, which I did. Dr. Brizzie was very conservative in offering a guaranteed result, but offered an in-depth informative consultation and said the procedure is 85% effective for his patients. The results: Day one: a little stiff and sore but not overly sore Day two: same except that night / I slept a full night without any pain!!! This was an emotional event as I have not been able to have a pain free night or a full nights sleep in years. Day three: NO PAIN IN MY KNEES! I was told by the good Dr. to stay off my knees (no surfing) for a week. I did so , it has been almost two weeks and I am completely blown away. I can walk up and down stairs walk pain free. Dr. Brizzie and team are great, I've been working with them for over a year now. My treatments have included injections for pain, home exercises and PT for sciatica/lower back pain. Recently Dr. Brizzie introduced me to a new therapy called SHOCKWAVE that has really rocked my world. It is a non-invasive therapy that uses sound waves to loosen tight muscles and tendons up. So far I've had it applied to my IT bands/quads and my shoulders/upper back with impressive results. WOW! I was in a tuff spot, both my knees were in trouble along with my right shoulder! I called and spoke to Kendra who listened with empathy, fit me in right away. Dr Brizzie is my angel . I have unfortunately had to see him on and off again for the past several years. Fortunately for me, he has always helped me. Whereas other physicians are wanting to operate, Dr Brizzie is realistic and will tell me / confirm if that is indeed what is needed. I had a very prominent orthopedic surgeon tell me I needed surgery on a small rotator cuff tear. Dr Brizzie performed 2 PRP's for me and my pain is fully resolved! He successfully treated my piriformus muscle (awful, awful gluteal achy that can cause sciatica pain). Another well known surgeon told me I needed a lumbar fusion surgery. I didn't! He really thinks outside of the box, but it's not quackery. He does state of the art medical procedures that would take one 1.5 months/+ for insurance authorization (while one suffers) and he'll do an injection that same day. (For cash price that is often less than what my co pay would be with my insurance!!). = less money and the procedure is completed right away = less time suffering. He really cares and it shows. I feel like my complaints are validated and I truly feel like he genuinely loves to help people. He's the nicest man and always will give me his honest opinion which I value greatly. Melissa Brizzie is an amazing acupuncturist, i've been doing treatment with her for a series of different complications in my joints (ankle, shoulder and lower back). She was born to work in this practice, her voice is so soothing and she walks through everything she is doing which is personally very comforting. i would highly recommend treatment with her! Dr. Brizzie has also treated me quite a few times with my ankle/lower back pain, i did a series of Toradol injections and they seemed to really help with the pain and tone my inflammation down.
