The entire staff is extremely friendly, kind, and professional. The ultrasound technologists are thorough, reassuring, and clearly take what they do very seriously. The facility itself is beautiful, modern, and high-end, and you immediately get the feeling that the people there genuinely care about their patients. In addition to flagging those patients who are dementia patients in the system - so that instructions and appts are addressed with the caregiver. The assisting staff is very kind, professional and we love the doctors my family has seen. They are very attentive to their patients.

At the moment of injection, I was told one of the stress-test injections was called "nuclear medicine," and the injection came in a heavily shielded container to protect people outside from radiation exposure. Please understand this is completely different from regular contrast or iodine. Despite that, I was not informed beforehand about the possible effects the injections could possibly have on me until the last injection they gave me. I was not informed about any side effects with the "nuclear medicine". I was told the last injection effects would only last a few minutes. For me, that has not been the case. As of this coming Friday, it will be two weeks since I received the injections, and I am still not back to the baseline I was before the injections. It seems, because of my other health conditions, my recovery has been slower than expected. I am gradually improving, but I am still not where I was before the injections. I understand that everyone reacts differently, but I want other people with similar health conditions to be aware that these stress-test injections can cause longer-lasting symptoms for some patients. When I first tried to report my symptoms to the doctor's office, the person I spoke with became dismissive and seemed to have an attitude because I was describing what was happening to me. I wasn't even complaining, I was just reporting what I was experiencing so they can document everything and she got defensive. She tried to convince me that my symptoms could not be related to the injections because "it only lasts a few minutes." Obviously, that is not true for every patient. I was being treated as if I were lying or like it wasn't very important. I am so sick and tired of how Medi-Cal patients are being mistreated. It is unacceptable. I was then told to go to the ER for my additional symptoms. I forced myself to go, but the ER refused to assist. That ER visit was a complete waste of what little strength, time, and energy I have. The ER finds a possible sign of blood clot in my lungs (which can be deadly) and they still sent me home without checking it further. DO NOT TRUST SCRIPPS HOSPITALS IF YOU HAVE SIMILAR CONDITIONS. CI of SD clinic staff minimize and dismiss real problems when they tell patients they have a "strong heart." The last time I was told that, I believed them and stopped looking further into my heart health. This time, I was pushed to get checked in order to move forward with my already scheduled surgery, and it turns out I have serious heart problems that need to be addressed URGENTLY, according to the NP that I spoke with during my follow-up. Yet, they made sure to say the same robotic phrase to me again, "You have a strong heart!" I don't trust anything these people say anymore. When I had my follow-up appointment it was with a nurse practitioner not an actual doctor, that quickly rattled off a bunch of concerns to me, and when I asked her to repeat them so I could write them down, she refused. Instructing me to get the same information she just told me from the appointment coordinator she was going to transfer me to. She transfers me and the lady says she cannot help me with that. The Appointment coordinator transferred me to another person who also tells me they cannot help me with what the NP says they can. GAMES WITH THE SICK?! So they refused to allow me to write down the conditions and the problems the nurse practitioner said they discovered with my stress-test. Now, because I reported my body and brains reaction to the injections, it feels like my care is being delayed or interfered with. I already had my sinus-infection and revision surgery scheduled, but it was pulled, all because of this cardiology company. I was told my heart issues need to be addressed URGENTLY and first, yet no one seems to be moving forward with that either. I am being told my heart is urgent, but then the necessary appointment scheduling and follow-up is not happening. Why can I not have my sinus infection and revision surgery addressed first, especially if the heart workup is not being scheduled or handled promptly? The ER did not consider it urgent enough to help, and the clinic is not giving me clear next steps. I have already requested that they please give the release so I can obtain the surgery that was already in process and they are refusing to assist. I need my symptoms taken seriously, my reaction to the injections documented, and a clear plan for both my heart evaluation and my urgently needed sinus/revision surgery. I should not have to fight this hard to be believed or to receive timely care.
