An appointment involving memory concerns can be stressful and emotional, and I really appreciated the compassion, patience, and respect we were shown throughout the visit. Coming from Boston, Ma where they are on top of your health! Whether it's a simple check up or a specialist, all of your drs communicate with each other, they don't leave it up to you to call these places to sit on hold for hours! I have multiple sclerosis and the care I have received has been absolutely terrible! It's wreaking havoc on my health. Since moving to Ca, my disease has progressed due to stress and lack of care/meds. Something needs to change as we are living in the most expensive state in the entire United States! A few years ago I came home early from a trip because of terrible shoulder and back pain. I tried…read moreto find an appointment before I got on the plane. No luck! Then I saw the reviews for Dr. Belnap on Yelp & lo and behold he was able to fit me in the week I returned . After looking at x rays of my shoulder and back from years ago & examining me he sent me to get an MRI . I was relieved it was an MRI and not a CAT scan as they have been shown to increase your chances of getting cancer. The MRI place he recommended was able to get me in for the next week.. my co-pay was under $100 for my back and my shoulder . Soon after this I saw Dr. Belnap again & he gave me a cortisone injection in my shoulder and some medication which helped greatly . A few months later the same in my back ! Last year I somehow hurt my back so badly I could barely walk. Once again, he was able to fit me in quickly and gave me an injection, which helped somewhat. However, it was Christmas holidays and I was going away for a special celebration and my back couldn't handle it. He was able to fit me in during the holiday season quickly, gave me an epidural and I was able to go and be fine. he's very caring and and we'll do whatever he can to help.

I have been seeing him for a little over two years now, and his care has truly helped me through a tough time. Being young with MS and all the unpredictable muscle pain it has caused me has been difficult. Their lasers provided me relief with joint and nerve pain instead of resorting to potentially more damaging surgeries. If you are considering surgery of any kind, you should really give this a try before doing so. And even if you do get the surgery, this can help expedite the recovery process. My wife in particular has been able to avoid back surgery with the help of the laser. We are forever grateful. We particularly enjoy their Carlsbad location. Upon arrival I was greeted with a smile, filled out my pre-procedural paperwork then was escorted to the pre-procedure hold area. All of the "Ts" were crossed & "Is" dotted. I was offered Versed, a hypnotic that relaxes the pt which diminishes stress when facing a procedure. I opted for it. No IV was necessary as the injection was given in my arm (deltoid). Melissa &. Tends were the RN's who attended me until transported to the procedure suite. Dr Parizzo introduced himself, asked the appropriate questions regarding my history (Hx) and explains what was going to be done. I related a traumatic experience during a similar procedure by another MD a couple years ago. Hence my hesitation to subject myself to spinal injections again. All I wan say is "Stellar Performance" from this team! You can (or I can) tell a good physician by the his/her team's cohesiveness and demeanor. That's really all you have to go on until your procedure is done. This group gets 5 honest stars from me!
