Dr. Binder was the first chiropractor I had ever visited and, quite honestly, I was kinda stressed out about the whole crack it and pop it thing. I knew just a massage wasn't going to fix my injury that was a compilation of many other small injuries. Despite the vast size, the space feels immediately inviting when you walk through the doors. Dr. Binder was there to greet me right away and I was impressed with our one-on-one consultation & the comprehensive tests she used to assess what was actually going on with my back. She took the time to answer my questions while interpreting the results of my tests, calmed some fears and explained to me how the body responds to stresses, injuries & how receiving chiropractor care can help with so many ailments across the board. We moved over to the table and she told me exactly what she was going to do, what sensation I might feel & asked how I responded to each adjustment. Previously, there were typically two or three doctors available to provide comprehensive patient assessments. Recently, however, I have often arrived to find no receptionist, only one doctor working, and a lobby full of patients waiting to be seen. On one occasion, the scheduled doctor was also required to manage front-desk and billing responsibilities while patients waited for one-on-one care. This leaves little to no capacity for the physician to accept new patients or focus fully on the routine care and maintenance of existing patients. I am also concerned about the safety implications of having only one person working in the building. If the doctor experienced a medical emergency or there were a security incident, such as a robbery, there would be no additional staff available to respond or seek assistance. It appears that the new ownership may not be adequately addressing the workload placed on physicians or the experience and safety of patients. I respectfully urge The Joint to visit and evaluate this franchise location. It would be disappointing to see such a strong company reputation affected by insufficient staffing and a lack of appropriate operational oversight.
