Started going here before we had insurance and just bought a first-time package deal. Stoked when our health insurance kicked in and we could start using it here. Kim at the front desk and Dr. Stevens are always great - super friendly, helpful and professional. They go above and beyond whenever we have questions on our health insurance and really do their best to explain things fully and clearly. Hubby and I both come. We've only done the chiropractic services (although I believe there are also acupuncture and massage services also offered), but we would definitely recommend it! The office is only open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but they have always been super awesome at fitting us in and making our appointments work within our schedules. read more

I should of posted this review when I went to Carlsbad Chiropractic center as I visited there on August 6th , the chiropractor Jennifer Stevens was not in as she does not work Tuesdays that should have been a sign. Anyway I was in severe back pain spasms etc . I ran into the acupuncture Sang Han who works in this office, small house. At first he seemed interested but asked if I had insurance I said yes and showed him my card. He made copies all the while I was standing there in shear pain. He told me that I could come in on the Thursday at 11:00am . It was better than nothing I had at least an appointment even though no one else was around. Just him and I. Will get back to him later. The next day I came back to the office as this place was recommended by a colleague, I saw the receptionist/ secretary/office manager person and she saw that I was in bad pain but asked Me if I had insurance and I gave her the card, she checked it out and also made a copy. I then had to fill out several forms, I was in so much pain that I couldn't sit down and had to stand . I went back see Jennifer Stevens the chiropractor and she asked me questions , then put an electrical pulse pads on my lower back and left me alone for several minutes while she attended someone else? She then tried to adjust me and was clearly struggling and had to put a board between me and the bed/table. I then went to Leave still in pain and the office manager person told me the copay bill was $77.40, now I have highly rated insurance which is a PPO and my copay is $25. I told her that but was in so much pain and did not want to argue even though I attempted to explain. I went home still in extremely severe pain. The next day the acupuncture man texted me and told me that my copay was $25 at least he got that part right but later texted me changing my appointment and told me that I had to pay a $35 administrative fee on top of my copay. I texted back being curious and he said it was because he had to do paperwork. Isn't that what healthcare is in America? Anyway it was at that point That I called my insurance company as I was getting rather suspicious. They told me there is no administrative fee , I then told him and he cancelled me? Wow! Go figure. I then called the insurance company back and asked Them about the $77.40 and we immediately had a three way conversation, I was mainly listening as the insurance rep was explaining to The office person/receptionist/girl that it is $25 a visit copay that's it period. She said that they will give me credit on my Next visit. I called her back shortly after some thought as to how this center was just money driven and not Even caring about patients to cancel. She said they would send me a check For the difference. It had been over a month and I have not seen a dime or been given an apology or how are you feeling? I ended up going to see another chiropractor in the village who was 100% more sympathetic to his patients and not just about a money grab like the Carlsbad Chiropractic Center. Choice wisely people as there are quality chiropractors in the village that really care about their patients. read more

Jennifer is really really good and her secretary Margarite is very friendly! Her treatments/adjustments are thorough and she takes care to focus on & pay attention to problem areas. It's a little pricey compared to some of the "chain" chiropractic places, but if you use services like this IN ADDITION to other things like stretching and exercise, etc., it can do wonders for you w/o $$ draining =) read more

Carlsbad Chiropractic Center is #1 in my book. Walked in today without an appointment. They were able to fit me in within a half hour. My back was tweaked and I could hardly get out of bed this morning. It's only been a few hours since my adjustment and I'm already starting to feel relief. I noticed Dr Stevens had a 1 star review added so I read it. I'm sorry that person feels they had a bad experience. I can honestly say I have had nothing but excellent results in what seems to be about 8 years of visiting this practice. Not only are they responsive via phone calls but they even send me Birthday and Holiday cards. Dr Stevens truly believes in her practice and her clients. read more

Dr. Stevens is a really great chiropractor! Her technique when adjusting my neck really helps when I am having pain from swimming laps. She also does a really great little massage work or therapy on me when I get treatments, which I really enjoy. read more

I have seen chiropractors since 1980. Of the doctors I have experienced, not one of them compares to Dr. Jennifer Stevens. She has been my chiropractor since 1998. I get adjusted every 3 weeks to keep in alignment, but if I need to come in more often, even for weekend emergencies, she is right there for me. She is very friendly, gives great advice without being pushy, very knowledgeable and individualizes her services for each patient. She take her time to explain what is causing the problem and what options the two of you can take to fix it. I have been visiting her practice for many years now off and on as problems come up. Herself and her staff are very helpful in finding time to squeeze you in when there is an emergency. The pricing is very very reasonable and there is never any up sell to buy strange equipment or a years package of service. I've been coming to Dr. Stevens now for about four or five years, typically about 2-3 times a year when I get a weird kink in my neck or shoulder. Each and every time, she sees me promptly, assesses the situation accurately, and I leave feeling better than when I arrived. One of the many things I appreciate about her is she's not there 'selling' her service, or strongly recommending that I come back time and time and time again. She's happy to see my once or twice, get me back in alignment and out of pain, and then send me on my way. More recently I suffered some neck, shoulder and arm pain following a minor car accident. She and her staff were incredibly kind and ready to take great care of me. I had about 7 treatments, they handled all the insurance stuff, and feel 100% normal today. Couldn't recommend her any higher than I do. She's the best. And Patty who answers the phone, gets you checked in, and handles the paperwork/insurance is always kind, courteous, and helpful. read more

I've gone to 4-5 chiropractors in my life before listening to my boyfriend's strong recommendation... I don't know what I was waiting for. Dr. Stevens is awesome! She doesn't hurry me in & out, she's a great listener, and I love the way she uses all of her tools (she has good ones) & knowledge to get me back into shape. I have a desk job so my lower back, shoulders & neck usually need regular attention to keep me happy. I'm so glad she makes it easier for me to take care of myself before I have a problem. My girlfriend is injured from this doctor. I bought her a three package deal for her cause her lower back was hurting. She's only 100lbs, so she's pretty small. After her adjustment she could barley move for three days. We tried to call the chiropractor all week, she left four messages over seven days. Never a response or call back, nothing. We found another chiropractor and he showed us where her rib was popped out, she was in serious pain from this doctor being rough. The new doctor was angry at how swollen her back was and what had happened. Dr. Stevens never called to speak with my girl and the receptionist explained since she didn't use the rest of her package, she has to pay full price for the one visit that hurt her. They sent a check in the mail, only a check, nothing else, nothing personal or anything letting us know they cared about the health of my girlfriend. I would not recommend a doctor with this bad of bed side manner. read more
