Absolute miracle worker. I called last minute today because of a gym injury I had about a week and a half ago. The pain lingered and just seemed to get worse. I woke up this morning unable to move my right side, stiff as a board, in constant pain. After his adjustment I was already feeling better, took my pain level from a 7 to about a 3. His approach is a bit different in that it's very targeted so it's not a one size fits all. I really appreciate Dr. Tim's approach to chiropractic care. He pairs in-office adjustments with at-home exercises to increase the long term effectiveness of his treatments. I found Dr. Tim through a friends recommendation. I have been experiencing sciatic pain since August. I was not sleeping regularly due to the pain waking me up in the middle of the night. Dr. Tim is a great chiropractor. I get occasional flare ups of TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) aka Lock Jaw, it was so bad I could hardly open my mouth 1 inch. I called and spoke with Dr. Tim immediately. He was concise with answering my questions and giving me the straight details without the run around. He fit me in the same day which I was estatic about. Instead of just using an activator tool he put gloves on got in there and really manipulated my over worked jaw muscles. Yes this was painful, but it is so worth the agony when it doesn't hurt to brush your teeth, lay down and sleep without having to put a pillow under your jaw to support it, along with being able to chew and not want to only eat soup. I highly recommend him. He charged a reasonable initial evaluation fee which included first adjustment. Following appts were only $45. He didn't try to rope me into more than what I needed which is greatly appreciated. I had visited another chiro in Carlsbad who was trying to sell me on a 6mo plan for $2,300 WOW. crazy glad I didn't go with my first chiro I visited. I had bi-weekly adjustments with Dr.Tim for 1mo to fully relieve and get my jaw range of motion back. We've now taken a month off (which he initiated - so appreciate how he doesn't just try to keep you coming back if your not needed it). I had very bad sciatica that was caused by a 10 mm disc herniation at L5/S1. I was not able to walk longer than 5 minutes for months, so I booked appointments with several back surgeons to get their opinions. All the surgeons wanted to operate immediately except for one wanted to give it more time to see how my body recovered with more time. About a week or two ago I was dealing with very bad back pain. I've always struggled with my lower back but it wasn't until I went to the gym where I made it worse. Dr. Tim has made a huge difference in my recovery of continued abdominal issues after a heavy antibiotic treatment. I hope every person suffering from pain due to herniated disc, bulging disc, or other condition related to spine/neck reads my review and goes to see Dr. Tim at San Marcos Chiropractic. He is a miracle. For me, it started in September 2020. One day I woke up with pain in my neck, more around the shoulder area. At first, I thought this is something that may have happened due to an incorrect sleeping position. In the next few days, this pain got worst, and it started affecting my right hand. I would have tingling in my fingers all day and would have muscle spasms all day on my right hand. This was when I started searching on the internet. I went to my doctor, who evaluated the condition and recommended getting the X-ray. After reviewing the X-ray results, my doctor requested a neck MRI and recommended starting physical therapy. My doctor confirmed that I had a disc herniation at several levels in my cervical spine with mild stenosis. The C5-C6 and C6-C7 disc bulges were the root cause for the pain I was experiencing. I was recommended to see a pain management office as well as to see a spine surgeon. I could live with the pain management treatment, but surgery was not an option. I wanted to get out of this pain without surgery, especially during this time. So decided to get a steroid injection and continued with the physical therapy. The steroid shot seemed helpful at first, but after three weeks or so, I was back to where I was. At this point, I had explored most options with no real help. My condition was getting worst. The only way I could sleep is if I took pain medications and anti-inflammatory drugs. This went on for five months. I had given up and thought that I would have to go through surgery or learn to live with this pain forever. But then I talked to a friend who had a similar condition, and he recommended seeing a good chiropractor. So I started looking around and found Dr. Tim. I read a review posted by one of Dr. Tim's patients whose journey was exactly like mine. Reading her review, I decided to call Dr. Tim. Dr. Tim was very responsive. He had an appointment slot available, and I saw him the same day. In the first appointment, he evaluated my condition and reviewed my prior history, and he explained the exact treatment plan to me. He explained to me that physical therapy will strengthen the muscles around the problem area, but will not cure the bulging disc. He told me to stop all physical therapy exercises for time being and try his approach. He also recommended I get a traction collar and start using it as soon as possible. I followed his instructions and treatment plan exactly as per his guidance. And I must say today, and my pain is less than 10 percent of what it was initially.
