charged 1100 to replace the boot on the cab axle on my bmw the part i later found out was only 80$

Got new brakes and rotors, the whole nine yards. Picked up my car and driving home, they were squeaking like crazy. I ended up breaking my foot so I couldnt take the car back so I had my friend who is a mechanic look... they never greased or lubed the brakes up after changing them. Literally the most important part for a mechanic to do and they didnt do it. Was this on purpose so I would come back? Highly do not recommend. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP. Completely scammed and took advantage of my friend (who doesn't know much about cars) by overcharging a total of 12 hours for what they call a "repair" on a front core support. They keep stating this was a good repair when for that same price a body shop could have swapped the entire radiator support with an OEM part. When complained about the outrageous charge they lied about the story and changed their motive as soon as the money was in their hands. They did an extremely poor quality job using 4 cheap pieces of angle steel and booger welded it to the SUBFRAME. They also mis-diagnosed a bad head gasket on the car which upon pick up was even smoking coolant out the exhaust. They refused to give any credit or refund. Now have to junk the car, out $1,500.00 for entirety of repair that the shop refuses to return. Owner even agrees that the job they did probably wasn't the best quality and said "do what you gotta do." Horrible experience. They lie through their teeth to take advantage. Do not get service here. read more

My experience at Action Auto Services was very disappointing. I went there to have a new radio ordered because the one in my Jeep was broken. I was charged $120 diagnostic fee for them to tell me my radio was broke. Well, I already knew that, that is why I was there. I was told they could order me a new radio for $325 but I would have to pay for it up front. I thought that was very strange, but I gave them the cash up front and was told it would arrive in a week or two. One of the employees called me a week later to ask for my vin number because the place they ordered it from on Ebay needed it. It turns out it was used and the order had not been placed yet. I asked them to please just cancel the order and I told them I would be coming in to pick up the money I had given them for the part. They charged me a $25 restocking fee for a radio that never got shipped out in order to get my $300 back. The whole experience was very disheartening and Action Auto Services ended up making $145 off of me for doing nothing. It was a very disappointing experience for me as a first time customer and a quick and easy way for them to make some quick cash off of an unsuspecting customer. read more

Yes...They Are Open...But They Shouldn't Be STAY AWAY or PAY FOR WORK THEY DON'T DO First of all... I posted a more accurate photo of this abandoned garage that is called an auto service. I had my car towed here because they ranked high on the Carmax site as someone who takes their warranty. I showed up here and the place looked rundown and close. I was surprised I was in the right place. My car had died, and we thought it was gas related, but apparently it was a battery situation. We asked him to check the blinker and patch a hole due to a nail. We got the car back the next day at almost five hundred dollars. He changed the battery, fixed the sockets for the blinker, and patched the tire (all in a three hour time frame.) Wait....what? Less than a week later my battery died and the blinker was still going fast. We contacted Carmax and had them investigate the money we paid for the work since no or could believe the things they did took three hours. Turns out the did s diagnostic they didn't tell or ask about and decide to charge us for it. We had to take our car in to another shop to figure out why it was still it working. I had them check the sockets to see what was going on with that. Turns out, they charged us for those parts and work and didn't change the docket or patch the wires. The other mechanic showed me the sockets and they are the original set. (Those pictures are included). I had this new mechanic check to see if he fixed the tire correctly or lied about that. They did, so at least this is worth the one star I HAVE to give. read more

Small shop but they are very conscientious and do good work at fair rates. I was noticing a grinding sound during warmup on my brakes. Didn't know what it was but figured maybe a brake job was needed. That wasn't it -- they ground down the rotors and calipers. The noise came back soon afterward, so I took it in. Ira said the parts were under the 1 year warranty from a major job they'd done last year, so I got all new brakes all around at no charge. Nice surprise, and the noise is gone. I couldn't be happier. read more

I took my car there to get a new alarm and automatic starter put on before the holidays. When the project began, they called me up to let me know that it might take a few extra days due to the way my old after market alarm was installed. I got my car back yesterday and I am fully pleased with their work. They took their time and made sure everything worked like it should and also made sure everything looked nice. I highly recommend Action Auto Services for any installation needs and I will definitely take any of my cars there in the future. read more

I have changed many auto repair shops and didnt find anything satisfied or worth for the money spent. But found this auto shop through repair pal and totally satisfied with the work done by Ira. Would highly recommend. Have had nothing but great experiences. First time I visited was a year ago I have a Toyota which I had repaired at two other local shops will not name any names. First shop installed a wheel bearing and it failed 6 months later they would not warranty it. Had replaced again and it failed. Talked to Ira and brought it in. Found out both places didn't install it correctly and had it fixed at action. One year later and over ten thousand miles everything works great. He also found some things not secured properly from previous shop and buttoned them up free of charge. Brought my Volkswagen in for electrical issue which was repaired with parts and labor cheaper than the dealers diagnostic fee. Another great experience. If you want something done right the first time without the hassle and crazy prices of the dealer this is the place. read more
