The refrigerator stoped delivering water through the water supply system. I did everything I knew…read morehow, like changing filters. But nothing helped. All I ever got was a very slow flow. Frustrating beyond belief. I called Universal Repair because they had very good feedback ratings. Lo and behold, the positive feedback was just what I experienced. I was given a next day appointment by Valerie, with a two hour window. Dmytro showed up right on time! He didn't mess about. He went straight to work diagnosing my problem. Then he did his magic and suddenly my refrigerator was working like new. Dmytro showed me the condenser and it was disgustingly dirty. He cleaned that up to like new. Not only did Dmytro repair my water problem,he left my refrigerator in better shape than it had been in years. Dmytro gave me a price which sounded justified. And accepted my check in payment. I absolutely have to say, Thank You Dmytro!!! And thank you Universal Repair! If and when I have more appliance problems I will definitely call Universal Repair! Honesty and Integrity!

Always so happy they can find the parts to work on our appliances. Two of our neighbors with similar appliances asked for referrals on the spot because they know we have them out every year.

I called High City with a unique request to find a replacement control panel for a Wolf downdraft…read moreunit. The panel had been lost in a remodel, and the discontinued part was proving difficult to find. Russell at High City was a rock star to work with. He listened, and he and the crew there went no the hunt. He could have easily said it wasn't possible but they stuck with it. Turning over every stone, the eventually found the part. Many thanks to Russell and the High City crew. They saved me a lot of money by not having to replace the whole unit. They really went the extra mile to finish the job. First class.

Our washer and dryer both had issues and we wanted to repair if it was reasonable. Well, a…read moredifferent company was charging a significant amount to just diagnose. High City Appliance charges $69 for first appliance and $34 for the second one. We called and set up a time and date for them to diagnose. The window was 9-12 pm. As we do, schedules get rearranged and it was 11:25 am and still no communication from High City Appliance. I call to follow-up and customer service tells me they will follow-up. A couple of minutes later, I receive a text from their technician and he says he is 25 minutes away. He arrives at 11:57 am. He did wear shoe covers upon entering and after spending about 30 minutes in our laundry room, he shares the issues with our appliances. To replace the parts and labor the cost would be about $715. The estimate included parts and labor and labor was over $200/hour. That seemed pretty steep. If we decided to move forward, the diagnostic charge would be credited, but still very costly. After having to follow up and waiting for the technician to arrive, then receiving his quote, it was a disappointing experience. The technician also wanted to charge me $59 for the second appliance, but quickly corrected him of the quoted price that customer service shared upon making the appointment. I would strongly reconsider calling High City Appliance in the future should we have appliance issues.

I can't say if their prices are high or low, since it took a little over an hour and I don't have any comparisons. I would not recommend Wilson and Myers based on my experience…read more My ice machine was still making ice, just not keeping up during extremely hot conditions while our kitchen HVAC system was down. Wilson and Myers diagnosed a faulty sensor and charged approximately $2,000 for the repair, which required multiple return visits. To make matters more confusing, I requested a quote but was sent what appeared to be an invoice, which was accidentally paid before the work was completed. After several visits, they declared the repair complete, but the machine immediately developed a new problem it never had before: instead of producing normal ice cubes, it started dropping large blocks of ice. The technician also damaged the plastic side grate on the machine. When I raised concerns, Wilson and Myers proposed another $2,000 repair to fix the new issue and denied responsibility, claiming the problems were pre-existing. Their response was essentially that I didn't know the condition of my own machine before they worked on it. I've used this ice machine for years and know exactly how it performed before their repair. It never produced giant blocks of ice, and the side grate was not damaged before their technician serviced it. To make matters worse, I repeatedly received calls and texts late at night, sometimes as late as 10 PM to midnight, including weekends, even after asking them to stop. In the end, I spent $2,000, dealt with multiple service visits, ended up with new problems, and was asked to spend another $2,000 to fix issues that appeared after their repair. Overall, a very frustrating experience.
