And its a real gym- there are real boxers, who compete in real fights, that train at this gym! You can get great exercise and real cardio, while actually really learning to box. Getting to actually box with these people starts taking you to a different level. If you're looking for a real boxing gym for adults and for kids, I would definitely recommend Maxwells.

The classes that run from early morning to late evening are fast-paced, well structured and really kick ass. Regardless of how I feel on the way to the classes, I always leave energized and ready to smash the day! I joined BoxFit as a beginner and the small class-size, combined with diligent attention of the trainers has massively improved my boxing skills and general fitness. I've had the privilege to train with most of the instructors (Deirdre, Houston, Colton, Paul, Bradley and of course Mike!), and they are all incredible people with a wealth of knowledge and boxing/ life experience. The BoxFit crew makes you feel so welcome and I feel so very fortunate to have been introduced to this community. If you're thinking about joining a gym, I would recommend dropping by and seeing BoxFit North Park first-hand.

The coaches are AMAZING and being a local mom and business owner, I love that almost every class I go to I know someone. I think the best thing I can say is that the coaches keep you accountable. My dad has been sick so I go through times where I'm a little low and Coach Mike is always sending me texts asking how I'm doing and to try and come in twice this week. Most gyms just want your money and if you don't come in they don't care. Xplicit wants to see you there and if they don't they reach out to see what's up. Makes me feel like I'm not just a member number, but an important member that is cared about. 10/10 recommendation. Also Coach Tasha has put together so many fun activities outside of the gym like Yoga and Hikes. She is my FAVORITE Yoga teacher in our community and love that she is able to bring her practice to Xplicit.

We tried it out for a couple months, hated the fact that there is no aircondition and classes that are listed on the website don't exist like stick martial arts. What a scam. I explicitly asked what the cancellation policy was suspecting that it was going to be a hassle, many gyms make it hard so they can continue charging our after you don't go there anymore. This place takes the cake in making it hard to quit. You have to send a REGISTERED letter well in advance then they charge you a $50 cancelation fee! For what! Just because you don't want to go to their hell hole anymore! Of course it's all in fine print and they don't tell you when you sign the IPAD. Then they send it to collections if you don't pay the $50. It's so sick and sad, especially because it's obvious there are a lot of young people who appear to be students or starting out in life and don't have the money that this a-hole extracts from them. This place is NOT badass, it's despicable! Go elsewhere where you are not going to be an ATM for this loser

I usually just like to go in, do my thing, and get out. There are strong bonds formed here strengthened with every class we suffer through. Everyone has different goals and reasons for being there but we all support each others journey. Very much an "each one teach one" vibe. - also the Jocko supplements are actually really good. I hope to see more of that. The only thing I wish they had was a regular clock in the weight room and cross-fit room. I leave my watch at home when at the gym and I feel like I have to look at my phone every 5 min not wanting to miss class. Update: coming up in 2 years training with this gym. Even with a fire that took it down and a second location opened up within just a few months the management is still quite professional and the coaches are awesome. Looking forward to the old building opening back up.

I also love that her class sizes aren't too big. She's able to give each kid individual attention and adjust the program as needed to meet the needs of the group.
