Boxing and bachelorette party is kinda the most random and best combo out there and Boxfit SD customized a whole class for a bachelorette party! It was amazing! We all had so much fun! The trainers made this experience amazing! Would highly recommend and we will for sure be back!

I booked a class through class pass. Went to the class on Wednesday at 4:30pm. The instructor Mike, was friendly and really helpful for my first class. Explain step by step everything to me and my friend. The weather was warm so the class was pretty intense for me. Kept drinking to stay hydrated. The spot was nice, there is some shades for the end of the class to be working out on the yoga mat. Parking is really easy. Time flies because it was pretty challenging and multiple excercise. The workout was definitely cardio.

Mike is the owner and he is AMAZING! He's patient, kind and loves what he does. He brings energy, different exercises and awesome music ranging from old school hip- hop, 80s, EDM, and Latin flavor música! If you happen to forget your boxing gloves, Mike's got you covered, you can borrow a pair! We start out with warm ups and the he goes over each station, all while enjoying the nice outdoors! The stations are broken down into 3 categories; shadowboxing/ heavy bag workout, 1 in 1 mit work out and strength and strengthening! It's super fun and I've met great people who all encourage each other to do our best!

Super fun class and a great work out. Vinny the instructor was very helpful with technique corrections and motivating us to push ourselves. I've taken the class a few times now with the ClassPass app and will be back!

Conveniently located on First Street and accessible 24 hours, the gym is clean and well-maintained. Occupying the entire ground floor of a building, it has a feeling of spaciousness about it. Doors that open to the small patio area, along with ceiling fans, enable good air circulation throughout the space. Fellow gym-goers are friendly and always willing to engage when you approach them about routines or exercises. No attitude at this place whatsoever. People are genuinely happy to share their successes and reflections on their own self-journeys to fitness, which makes the gym feel like not only a place the place where you can go to work out, but also a place where you can continually learn from other gym enthusiasts about ways to improve your own focus on physical improvement. A sense of a community among people with a common interest in health and fitness, and a willingness to share it, are two of of the most unique and notable characteristics of this gym. The owner, Keith Deidrich, pays meticulous attention to the gym's layout and functionality, resulting in a nice rotation of machines and weights throughout the space. It's exciting to come in to find a new machine, such as the very impressive cable crossover set up, complete with high bars for dead-hangs and pull-ups, or a one-of-a-kind lat pull-over machine that requires the force of your elbows, placed on pads and pushing down, to accomplish the exercise. It's like a squat machine for the upper body. In addition to the machines and freeweights, the gym has add-on weight blocks in gradations of two-and-a-half pounds that are custom-made to be inserted on top of the machine pulley racks to increase the resistance in smaller increments when the built-in 10- or 15-pound increases are too much of a step-up. Being able to use these blocks has enabled me to slowly increase the amount I'm lifting without making a jump up to a higher weight that is just too heavy. And there are plenty of cardio machines as well. In short, this neighborhood-centered gym with its relaxed vibe, excellent equipment, and friendly and respectful members makes working out a highlight of my daily schedule.

Stark pockets everywhere. Small floor. Turf the size of a welcome mat. Four benches for the entire building. You will wait. Everything around them feels like it hasn't been cleaned since the ribbon cutting. No paper towels in the locker room. No soap in the showers. Dudes literally using the hand soap dispensers to get soap to take into the showers. Water pressure from the last decade. Toilet stalls full all morning like it's a bus station. People stare with no sport and no shame. After I rinsed, my slippers were decorated with pubic hair that did not clock in with me (see photo). No housekeepers anywhere in sight. Juice bar. Blow dryers. None of that makes a gym. Thanks to the Leads for their professionalism getting me in with ease but the comfort ends with the greeting. I hated being there so I trained hard and then couldn't wait to get out. Trial day one was the whole experiment. Dirty like EoS, smaller, darker, and proud of it. Do not recommend. I walked out feeling like I had found someone who actually understands how to coach people, not just train them. He has an incredible ability to read the person in front of him, adjust in real time, and push without ever making you feel discouraged. The knowledge is obvious, but what stayed with me was how present he was. Every correction had a purpose. Every conversation mattered. I've been an avid gym goer since before, during and after pregnancy, so at this point I am not picky. I decided to do a trial just to try it out and see if my daughter was comfortable with the Kids Club. We've been to a gym prior with a Kids Club but the gym was family owned so we were very used to the way they did things. It's definitely a lot different here. You basically drop off your child and they are either placed in their play area with the other kids or kept in their stroller behind the desk area if they need a nap or to just hang out. My first impression of the woman in front was that she is just doing her best since it's only her and another woman watching multiple kids dropped off. Something I didn't like though was the communication was always off. I would say something in regard to what my child needed and it wouldn't be heard at first. Ex: "My daughter usually naps around this time, I think she's tired." "Yeah. So you think she wants to watch TV?" This happened a few times and it was a bit frustrating. She did fortunately get my 11 month old daughter to stop crying some days but after the second week my daughter gradually didn't like being there and couldn't easily be consoled so it was digging into my gym time. I also feel like there's a lot of miscommunication between Kids Club and front desk because being on a free trial, check in at Kids Club was never seamless. There was always something keeping me from checking in or I "wasn't in the system yet." Overall, I come to the gym to destress as a mom and also keep my mental health intact, this did the opposite for me and I started dreading coming in. So I eventually decided against a membership. Other than that, the customer service and front desk were extremely helpful and informative with getting me signed up and answering all my questions. The gym itself is decent as well and has a lot of space and equipment, just a little too busy for my taste. It also constantly smelled bad. My biggest deal breaker was the Kids club though.
