REVIEW OF PRIVATE EVENT (PRESS BOX DINING ROOM): My friend got married at Heinz field. She and her husband (football and Steeler fans) rented out the Press Box for their wedding. Attendees got a private tour of the stadium (we got to be on the field, in locker rooms, coach offices, etc.) and had lots of photo ops. The view from the press box dining room was gorgeous, looking across the river and you can see Duquesne Incline and Point State Park. Because we were staying at a local hotel, we took their shuttle to and from the stadium. I've heard there's gridlock traffic whenever its a home game. Private events are scheduled on away game dates when in season. I can't speak directly about coordinating with the stadium rental division for events, but I can say from observation that the catered food was great, the bar setup was great (bartender was friendly), and the decoration in the dining room was very personalized (my friend had all her personal touches so it didn't look like they were forced to use a certain set-up when booking). I thought the venue was really cool, and I'm not a football fan. Great views of the city, tour of the stadium, and unique experience! read more

When I walked into the stadium it was like opening up the gates to Football Heaven! Most gorgeous view of three rivers and super clean. The fans and the egg was absolutely amazing. This was definitely the highlight of my trip and seeing the Steelers play at Heinz was on my bucket list. had to buy the souvenir mason jar Heinz Field drink. I am rating specifically my tour of the Heinz Field stadium solely. This was a really great experience for only ten bucks. The tour was approximately 90 mins with a reasonable amount of walking. I'd say in total we probably walked a mile or less which judging off of the size of this place that seems fair. You get to learn about the history of the stadium and when it was built. You learn about the history, you your the locker rooms of the player, check out memorabilia. No complainants my tour guide was great. It was a hit disappointing however that I feel like the tour left out a great deal of info about Pitt's football team. read more

I haven't been to a Steeler game in years, but we came here this evening for an exhibition soccer match. The facility is very impressive, with a lot of food and other concessions. To whom it may concern, I wanted to share my thoughts and concerns on what was a terrible experience at Acrisure Stadium this weekend. My wife and I traveled from out of state with our two young children to tour our favorite team's stadium. Our whole family was so excited to see the locker room and be field level as the website states. Our family and entire tour group (30 people) were incredibly disappointed when we were told after the tour started that we wouldn't be doing half of what was promised because Pitt was having a practice. Everyone on the tour demanded a refund and the staff was of zero help and showed no compassion whatsoever. They told us that "all areas of the tour are subject to change due to stadium policy" which I understand but they shouldn't have scheduled a tour if that was the case. Additionally, I was told by staff via email that there would be a $10 charge for my 6 month old baby. This is pitiful and the stadium should be ashamed of themselves. I would NEVER recommend this tour. I'll also add that the survey link they provide doesn't event work.... read more

TOUR: We booked one of the Saturday 10am tours on the website. Heinz Field Tours provide guests with a behind-the-scenes look into the FedEx Great Hall, Clubs, Luxury Suites, Press Box, Field. So glad we did this since it was less chaotic than the following game day (Steelers vs. Jaguars). We were able to take pictures on the field (we couldn't walk on the turf of course), sit inside the press room, club areas, UPitt locker room. Bummer that we didn't see inside the Steelers locker room (since they had a game the next day) but the tour was still very worth the $8 adults / $7 fee. There's SO much to see at the Great Hall so it was nice to walk through it leisurely without the gameday crowd. TIPS: Make sure you check the A-Z guide on the website for everything you need to know about getting to the field and what to bring/not bring. If you're a Steelers Nation Unite member you can submit a message to display on the scoreboard. Its not guaranteed but I was THRILLED to see my birthday message to my husband on the scoreboard!!! Get there early though - my message was displayed around 11am for a 1pm game so luckily we were already walking inside the field and by chance turned around just in time to catch the message on the scoreboard (although I wasn't quite fast enough to snap a pic!). Being a Pittsburgh girl I'm obviously a fan of Heinz field. If you're coming for a concert, or a game, please know that parking is not the best. There are many surrounding lots but unfortunately most of them are pre-sale, or you are going to pay a ton to park pretty far away. I would highly recommend utilizing the T, our form of public transportation. The T only takes exact change, and there are two lines. Blue, and Red. The last time I was here (this past Monday) I was super disappointed with the fact that people were smoking everywhere. When did this become a thing? Isn't there a designated smoking section? Everywhere we stood there were people blowing smoke in our faces. It seems that security was just allowing it to happen. read more

This is based on my Rolling Stones concert experience at Heinz Field October 4, 2021. This was my second Stones show at Heinz Field (2015) & everything on club level and in the VIP party area was very well organized. They had great signage outside the press entrance leading us to the VIP lounge elevator. Staff was VERY friendly. This was my 84th Stones show, so believe me this is NOT typical of stadium shows. The VIP was large & spacious allowing for social distancing due to Covid. Restrooms on club level did not have a wait & were very clean. The bartenders were also sweet & friendly. We were given great directions on how to access the pit on the floor and again security on the floor was kind & excellent throughout the show. They had to remove a guy who passed out in the pit in front of the stage and also jump the fence mid-show to tackle an obnoxious pushy guy trying to pick fights to get to the front rail. Overall this ranked as a top stadium show experience after disasters in other cities like DC & Philly last tour. Staff working merch stands prior to show were also efficient and friendly. Visited recently for a Pitt football game with some friends -- it was a great time. The seats near the field are really phenomenal, and the atmosphere is so much fun during games. I saw a Steelers game a few years ago from the nosebleeds, and it was a very different experience. We had a gorgeous view of the city, but honestly the atmosphere was diminished being up so high and we could hardly see the action on the field, so we would have been better off watching the game at home. It's a fun venue, but your experience absolutely depends on where you sit. read more

We were confused why but it turns out a group in front of us got into an altercation with her so she took it out on the rest of us in line. Here we go... It took 26 years, but I finally made my pilgrimage to Heinz Field to see the Steelers play where they (and I) belong. No amount of rain could dampen our spirits as we watched them take on the Bengals and pull out a victory! It's always fascinating to venture to different football stadiums to witness traditions and get a real feel for their fanbase. You just can't get it from TV! From the moment we joined the throngs of people making their way from downtown Pittsburgh to Heinz Field, I knew it was going to be ok. First of all, people tailgate on BOATS along the Allegheny River. Not lots of people, but people. That's the dream. If you don't have a car to tailgate at, never fear! There are plenty of parties right outside the stadium at the different bars/restaurants, or just along the perimeter itself. You can easily find a place to have a few brews without worrying about lacking your own car/grill. That's nice. We made our way inside pretty early and spent an hour just looking at the Hall of Fame, witnessing the pump up party happening at the entrance, viewing warmups on the field, and simply taking it all in. The energy was electric! It rained, it poured, and yet, we still had an amazing experience. In terms of concessions, we had slim pickings in our high section, but that's not really what we were here for. We were here to wave our Terrible Towel, to cheer on Big Ben, and to witness a win. From our seats in section 524, we were directly across from the scoreboard, with our sights set on the Heinz Field sign with the river in the background. It was perfect. I want to go back. Heinz field and it's fans are really cool especially because of the terrible towels. I figured that they were something that was laid on ever seat every game because how else would you get every fan to participate in waving towels with them bringing their own? Utterly and amazing efficient. Those are the first words that spring to mind when I think about Heinz Field. I went recently to attend my first Steelers football game. I had always wanted to go and gifted my father tickets for a belated birthday gift. Parking was a bit of a challenge as the closest garage was attached to the casino and the parking prices were very high. It also took an hour to leave the garage after the game as the traffic simply did not move. But it was that or walk quite a distance and when comparing the two it was decided that it was better to park nearby instead of somewhere that we weren't familiar with. Seeing the enormous crowd conversing on the stadium made me question how long we were going to stand in line. The traffic cops made sure that everything kept moving. There were people amping up the crowd. Black and gold gear as far as the eye could see were gathering but getting into the stadium was exceptionally easy. They had it down to a science. I don't think it took more than five minutes to go through bag check and security and when my dad set off the metal detector they behaved professionally and courteous which meant a lot to me. The stadium felt enormous. Without the app I am not sure if I would have been able to tell you a fraction of the restaurants that were here. I missed the tour of the stadium - probably should have done that - but it felt so easy to lose sight of everything. The food is extremely expensive, but your options are very limited. I ate a small pizza and it was actually very good. I was surprised. The game itself was amazing. We had incredible seats where we could easily see the game and the large screen. The announcer did a fantastic job ramping up the crowd and keeping the energy high. While it was loud it was not deafening. It was extremely enjoyable. read more

Heinz field is such a great place to watch a football game or a concert. There isn't a bad view in the stadium. On the main level there are many different food options as well as apparel shops. As you go further up into the stands, there are less options for these types of things but nevertheless still a great variety. There are plenty of restrooms as well and they are very large and well maintained (probably some of the cleanest I've seen in a stadium). For those of you who are sitting higher up, take the ramps to get up there. The lines for the escalators are excessively long and not worth the wait. Ladies, make sure that you bring in a clear bag if you are wanting to take items in with you that are bigger than the size of a wallet. It's a new NFL rule. There are stands throughout Heinz field that sell these if you need one, but they won't let you bring in a regular bag. They are also doing ticket scanning differently now. They do not accept paper tickets. You need to have the actual physical ticket or digital copy on your phone. If you have a paper ticket, they are not able to scan this so make sure you come prepared! read more

As a life long Steelers fan, I was looking forward to this tour. Overall it was a good tour. It was a surprisingly large crowd. I think there ended up being six groups with 20 or so in each. There are lots of historical items in the stadium and I thought it was very interesting. We got to go to the locker room, onto the field level, press box and suites. The tour lasted a little over an hour. There was a fair amount of renovation going on so that impacted the flow of the tour some. My only complaint is that the tour groups kept meeting up and crossing paths which caused delays and some confusion but I think that could have been sure to all the renovation work. This review is solely based on the stadium's provision for handicapped patrons. First, purchasing tickets is risky--you purchase standard tickets and then are instructed to arrive "as early as possible" to stand in line and try to rush (clearly the person establishing these protocols has never been or supported a handicapped person) to Guest Services to exchange your ticket for a handicapped access ticket, including a plus one. As this is "first come first serve" you have no guarantee of your seat nor the ability to have a seat in a handicapped seating close to your purchased ticket. In addition, because there is a limit of a single "plus one" any other family members will not be able to enjoy the experience with them. We have had this experience before but love the Steelers so we still make the choice to go and try to make the most of it. My uncle is in the late stages of Parkinson's and limitations are heavy. During what we anticipate will be his last game, my brother and I hung around in the handicapped section with my dad and uncle as long as we could prior to the game beginning to make the memories. We were told by several security personnel, "you will need to find your seat when the game starts" to which we said that we understood. Closer to the game, a group of (3) young, attractive women, dressed in alluring attire, came and found a seat in the section next to my uncle. Like my brother and I, they did not have the permitting wristband so we anticipated we would all be leaving at the same time. However, as the game approached, we were told to find our seats and the were allowed to stay. I asked, "can you tell me why they get to stay? This is likely my family members final game and, if there are means, I would like to find those, too." There was a lot of confusion and conversation amongst the security but, eventually, we were told, "those are player family members." I have no way to verify this but do know that there are box seats and even better seats then where we were sitting. It sends a definitive message when supposed "players' family members" are routed or even permitted to take the available seats of people that struggle every step of the experience already. This occurred in section 135 at the Steelers/Dallas game. Do better Acrisure. Happy to provide pictures of the people if that helps. I'd love to know who's family's wants takes precedence over the needs of paying disabled. read more

I loved this venue for watching the Steelers do their thing, and I am certainly NOT going to review the team here, just the stadium. There's an awesome view from almost every seat, even the "cheap seats," which unfortunately aren't so cheap. Concessions were actually faster and better than most pro sports places I've been previously, and the prices were also pretty much the same (high) - one of my gripes with pro sports in general is that it costs an average family of 4 a fortune to enjoy a pro game in any major pro sport, so this isn't really a surprise. I think my beer was $8 for a 24 oz cup of Yuengling. Hot dogs could be done with a little more pizzazz. Franktuary and Station Street guys, are you reading this? Why not try and strike up a conversation with the Heinz Field folks like other Pittsburgh "favorites" so we can enjoy some variety here? I liked walking around and watching the tailgaters, and stopped in to a nearby steakhouse to have a few beers with friends before the game - it's a nice, convenient sports area, anchored by this great open-air stadium. One of my big questions is: why are there so few events there? Tax base? I would think a stadium like this could host an amazing plethora of rock concerts all Summer long!!! Came to the Garth Brooks concert with the largest crowd ever at Heinz Field. With one little cloud, they made everything evacuate who wasn't under cover... 80% of the stadium. This is my first yes first visit to Heinz field since it opened way back when and my first opportunity to see a Steeler game. I will limit this review to the stadium itself. Heinz field is multilevel and has concessions, merchandise, and great things to look at all around. The best part of the visit is seeing "the Great Hall" where you can see the greatest players and coaches of the team along with all the Super Bowl trophies on display according to their respective years. Unless your are a season ticket holder it is best to park in one of the downtown garages for a fraction of the price and ride the T over to either Northshore or Allegheny station to get to the stadium. It is free. Be forewarned like in most stadiums expect to shove out much money for food, souvenirs, and other stuff. They have a clear bag policy where you can pack a few necessities when you come and one unopened water bottle. You also are allowed a small wrist bag or clutch. I would advise for safety's sake to hold on to it. It is advisable to get there early since there are a lot of tailgaters and the line to get in gets very long. There are outdoor restaurants and entertainment should you decide you have time to kill. I was able to get help finding my seat and since it was preseason the stadium was only half full and I found myself sitting between the 30-40 yard line. There are cupholders in front but these are for large cups or cans. The water bottle I purchased kept falling out so I finally had to keep it on the ground. Up by the scoreboard is the Ford fan zone which is located under the main scoreboard by some famous eateries including Franco's Italian food and BRGR. While there I got the opportunity to meet and greet former Steeler Mike Logan and actually see his Superbowl ring on his finger. I was thrilled to pieces to have my picture taken with him. The stadium has only 3 main entrances but there are escalators to take you up and ramps to take you down. After half time they reverse the direction of the escalators. I was having difficulty finding my way around but I met a nice security lady who escorted me upstairs and pointed out the direction I should go. Heinz field is host to other events and can be rented out for special occasions. They plan on holding a ribfest there in a couple of weeks. It has a great view of the Point and makes one proud to be from Pittsburgh. read more

Heinz field is magical, especially for Steeler games. There are many good seats here but, some seats are better than others... The club level offers a welcome relief from the elements, gorgeous bars, charging stations, gourmet and simplistic food options, leather loungers and bathrooms with minimal-if any-wait time. A brief note on the food....there was a mac n cheese bar --woot woot-- and I'm gonna leave it at that. The UPMC Club offered beautiful views of the city and the field. The jumbotron is AMAZING here and takes watching a Steelers game to a whole 'nother level. Parking can be somewhat of a nightmare so plan in advance for game day. Tip: Checkout the Gateway Clipper shuttle which provides roundtrip transportation from Station square and conveniently drops off right in front of Heinz field. read more

Arguably the greatest experience of my life. My favorite city, my favorite team, my favorite combination of colors, on the perfect nearly Fall day for the first time ever. The only issue was the Steelers lost the game and we saw 4 starters get hurt in the process. My first NFL game, my mother's first, my sister's first and my Aunt's first, on the day my mom turned 50 years old we surprised her with tickets to see the Steelers and Seahawks play! This was a phenomenal experience shared with the best people God could possibly put me with. The stadium is beautiful! The field is so cool! The city was lively and the fans were awesome! I think I was just grateful to get to see at least one game in my lifetime. I hope to return for another Steelers game soon! And I know we will get the W next time. Heinz Field is a great stadium for football, with the seating high and tight. There's really not a bad seat in the house. There's all sorts of options for food and drinks inside - both standard stadium food and beer, as well as upscale/local, unique options. There's merchandise stores everywhere too. The Great Hall is worth your time, where you can see a ton of historical stuff on display. And everyone takes a pic with The Chief statue outside. A few pro tips: - I recommend going early for events, buying parking ahead of time when you won't get gouged, or (even better) taking the free T, which dumps you right at Gate C. - The NFL has a clear bag policy for games so don't try to take in your purse unless you read the stipulations. - Take time to walk a lap around the stadium outside. There's so much to see, especially along the river. Overall, Heinz Field is a gem in the Pittsburgh skyline. Love it! read more

I was very impressed with this stadium. The upper deck seats are a little steep but that is normal for most stadiums. There was an abundant amount of space in both the upper and lower concourses.
