Recently had the absolute pleasure of visiting Acrisure Stadium during the NFL Draft, and what an unforgettable experience. Being inside the stadium where so many big moments happen was already special, but getting to watch the draft from there made it next level. This was my first time inside, and while I still need to come back for a Pittsburgh Steelers game someday, this was an incredible introduction. We were able to sit directly on the field, which felt surreal. Kicking back in the end zone with a local beer in hand while the picks rolled in was one of the coolest sports experiences I've ever had. They also had a Topps trading card tent on the field, and my brother-in-law and I couldn't pass up the chance to rip packs right there on the turf. The stadium itself is beautiful, the atmosphere was electric, and the whole place was packed with energy once the picks started coming in. Decked out in black and yellow, I felt like an honorary yinzer for the day. Truly a bucket-list moment and a memory I'll never forget. If you ever get the chance to experience an event here, take it. The atmosphere in, and outside the stadium is awesome, but there's nothing quite like the Pittsburgh Steelers staff, fans, and of course football team. The energy that runs through this stadium is of the highest caliber. I have never visited a place where every aspect of the place is full of awesomeness. First game, first time in a large football stadium. Bathrooms were adequate but for some reason the women's bathroom on the top floors was extremely hot for washing your hands- like burning hot. Lots of food stands, though the best choices were at the grand hall on the first floor. Lots of long lines to get food or drink, some lines for the bathrooms. Prices were typical venue high prices so plenty of people chose to drink and eat tailgating beforehand. Typical fan paraphernalia sold in the stores. They had free face painting (long lines) and some bouncy houses for the kids - just like at training camp. Can't beat the energy and enthusiasm of the fans- 66,700 people cheering. There were even rival fans seated close by and everyone was fairly cordial- some friendly teasing and funny heckling, but no harassment or fist fights. Saw plenty of families, and no one was too pushy. Exiting at the end of the game made me worried about a stampede down the ramps in an emergency but it maybe the same everywhere. read more

I highly recommend the Blitz tour. It was about 45 minutes and about 20 of us were led by a knowledgeable guide. We got to enter the Steelers locker room and be out on the field sideline just before the real KY bluegrass field. We had plenty time to take photos (photos are ok, just not videos). Only restrictions were to not step on logos in the locker room or venture onto the grass of the stadium field. We got a lanyard with Steelers printed on it and a discount in the Pro Shop. All this for 10 bucks. Definitely worth it! read more

The Dallas Cowboys' season has been a slow-motion car crash, but for once, we emerged victorious. This was truly exciting attending my first ever Pittsburgh Steelers game. Yes here at Acrisure Stadium or what will forever be known as Heinz Field and the "Big Ketchup Bottle", lol, a few months ago I went to see the Baltimore Ravens play the Steelers in one of the NFL's fiercest, most bitter rivalries. For a 1pm game, they allowed entrance 2 hours prior to kickoff which gave me ample time and opportunities to walk around and explore. I was able to get pictures in while the rest of the fans were still tailgating. Just outside Acrisure, there were tables set up for selling Steelers merchandise. Of course I had to buy an iconic Terrible Towel for $10. They also displayed a monument dedicated to the Immaculate Reception, one of the most memorable moments in NFL history. It's worthy of a photo. Also cool was standing beside the open end front entrance where there was a ferry coming and going floating along the Allegheny River dropping fans off at the stadium. What a fun way to travel to a game. And it's here at the front open end of Acrisure Stadium that's worthwhile for family pics. I went to the game with a friend of mine who's from Baltimore. He paid for our tickets so I'm not sure how much they actually cost. But we did sit in the lower part of the upper deck section on the closed end of the field. Views were good and I was surprised by how big Acrisure Stadium appeared. Yet it says capacity only held 68,000 fans. I would have expected more. Parking was $40 located in a lot about 1/3rd mile walk from the game. Though, I believe I saw lower prices for parking on TickPick and that's without fees. So maybe you could check online instead of randomly showing up the day of. Funny, my buddy proudly wore his Ravens jersey and Steelers fans were pretty friendly and welcoming towards him. This is something I would be scared to do as a visitor against loyal and passionate Pittsburgh fans. But, they didn't heckle him. I'm certain it would have been different had we attended a game in Philadelphia, lol, some of the roughest fans over there in Philly, lol. I believe the best aspect about Acrisure Stadium had to be those vibrant yellow seats. They are so emblematic to the Steelers organization. Walking the upper tiered level from high above, there's panoramic views looking down on the field. Off to the open end side of the stadium, you capture a wonderful vantage point of the downtown Pittsburgh skyline, one of the most dramatic in all the United States, imo. I asked ushers if they would take a photo of myself and the field which they happily said "yes" to. Looking around and realizing I was standing at a Steelers game was exhilarating in the moment. In total, it took no more than 1 hour to venture around Acrisure Stadium and get the photos I wanted. Btw, in one corner of the open end section of the stadium was a large ketchup bottle statue which fans waited in line to take a picture of. I didn't purchase anything from the concession stands. Some details about the actual football game... I expected a rocking atmosphere. I figured the crowd would be a factor. I wanted Steeler Country to show their support the way I envisioned watching games on television. But I must say, and although the stadium was mostly full and the action came down to the final 4th quarter moments, fans were relatively laid-back. The energy wasn't nearly as loud and effective as I had anticipated. I felt disappointed by this. And just saying...I went to school in Baltimore and have made it to a bunch of Ravens games at M&T Bank Stadium. It always lives up to its reputation as being one of the loudest NFL settings. So for me, this relaxed Sunday atmosphere in Pittsburgh was a little anticlimactic. Another aspect that fell short were no firework celebrations. Nothing during the national anthem, introductions, touchdowns or field goals. I was surprised because Acrisure Stadium sits against the Allegheny River and would be ideal to set fireworks blasting off from the open end section. It'd offer an improved atmosphere intensifying the crowd noise. Overall, when reflecting back on Acrisure Stadium... - It's located next to the scenic Allegheny River. - There are walking pedestrian pathways beside the shoreline. - You have bright yellow bridges connecting downtown. - PNC Park of the Pirates is around the corner. In the end, it's evident this downtown area of Pittsburgh can be a sports fans' dream come true, lol. Regardless of how passionate I felt the crowd was for my first Steelers game, thank you Pittsburgh for having me. Hope to return sometime in the future. read more

My first experience in Pittsburg was attending a Steelers vs. Packers football game. I am not a football fan, however I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the crowd! I've attended other football games in other cities and I can say the crowd here wasn't like others I've experienced; they were very lively and into the actual game and it made for a really great experience. We went during November and not only was the weather perfect that day but we had great seats. It was extremely packed in the stadium, which may have added to my experience of it being a very lively crowd. Stadium is the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. They also host other games, concerts, fundraisers, and festivals. It's a great view from anywhere in the stadium, and the games are always exciting. I'm missing the ketchup bottles that went into action when the Steelers reached the end zone. That was something truly unique about the stadium, and I'm sad that it's gone. There's a very nice Steelers museum/Hall of Fame as you enter on the ground floor. The staff do a great job of hosting fundraisers. The stadium is the center and heart of life in Pittsbirgh. I wish the tickets were more affordable, but that's everywhere you go. Acrisure Stadium opened in 2001, and it is where the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Panthers football teams play their home games. The stadium also hosts other events such as concerts, occasional outdoor hockey games, and Rib Fest. In addition to the football field, the stadium contains dozens of concession stands (e.g., Burgatory, Franco's Pizzeria, Potato Patch Fries, Primanti Brothers, and Quaker Steak and Lube) and several retail stores. For transportation, the stadium is located near the Allegheny and North Side T subway stations, and visitors may also park their vehicles at dozens of nearby parking lots and garages. At this stadium, I have attended Steelers games, the 2011 NHL Winter Classic, Rib Fest, and other events. During the Steelers and Penguins games, my seats gave me excellent views of the field/rink and players. I had the opportunity to tour the Steelers' locker room and to view their Super Bowl trophies, and I enjoyed that experience. Rib Fest was held on the exterior grounds rather than inside the stadium, and the vendors for food, drink, games, and music were set up well. My only problem with this stadium is that my body gets very cold in the windy winter weather. Furthermore, I have read that the stadium has a policy of not permitting large, unclear bags such as backpacks and totes. read more

Came to the stadium for a Kenny Chesney concert! I was throughly impressed with the Steelers museum upon entrance! What a treat that was! Entry was a breeze with paperless entry! The bathrooms were well stocked and CLEAN! The bathroom attendant was so helpful and kept the lines moving relatively quickly! The food courts were all well staffed, well stocked, clean, and ran very smoothly! Security was on point! Can't even begin to tell you how many people we saw attempt to go to the floor seating without their wristbands and were stopped from doing so. Even saw one person push a security guard and then the police got involved! All of the above made for an amazing concert experience! The show didn't disappoint either!!! Great seats! We able to attend a game and purposely bought club seats not only for the availability of the reserved eateries and restrooms but for the cover in the event of rain (which did happen). For the life of me, I can't understand the number of 5-star reviews for this stadium other than a personal attachment to the Steelers. It is my least favorite NFL stadium I've ever been to, let alone any arena in general. I don't think it's an attractive stadium, especially compared to PNC Park right up the street/river. And the food? Poorly managed and just not good. Most of the branded food options taste nothing like they do outside the stadium, the food is regularly cold and I've seen the horror stories from how the kitchens are maintained. Let alone the fact it takes about 15 or more minutes to get through a line. The restrooms are typically gross, but nothing like peeing in a horse trough with some drunken yinzers spitting chew and throwing cigarette butts everywhere. During a big game, the atmosphere can be electric as long as you don't get any belligerent diehards near you... And if you do, good luck getting security to do anything about it. read more

I attended the Taylor Swift show here and had an amazing time. In addition to being the concert of my life, I had a surprisingly pleasant experience here. The staff were friendly, the venue was tidy, and the security moved us through at lightening speeds. When there was a security incident in my section, the staff took it seriously, treated it with urgency and didn't miss a beat. I was impressed with their commitment to the crowd and enforcing the no smoking rules. This was my first time in Pittsburgh and I found the stadiums parking system to be super modern and deeply appreciated on a sold out night. Went to my first game yesterday. Absolutely loved the atmosphere even though I am not a Steelers fan. We were seated in 525 so a bit up there, we had a great view and we were surrounded by some hilarious people. Security was pretty painless to get through and from there it was super straightforward when finding our seats. We didn't get anything to eat but sure did get some drinks. I thought it was weird though that you could only get 2 beers at a time. read more

Best stadium ever. Staff is great. Train drops off right outside gate C (can be awful to get on at the end of an event though if you don't leave early). Bathrooms were very clean. Food lines are a little long but go quick - obviously pretty overpriced. The condiment stations were clean and kept getting restocked. Lots of beer carts around. Ramps are nice but more escalators could be helpful. I've been to many concerts here and have never had a bad time - most recently Taylor Swift! read more

Usually events hosted here are related to the Steelers, but I attended for an event with Miss Taylor Swift The stadium is very large, with several floors. We used the T System to get to the stadium, which was quite convenient to not have to pay for parking or the rush of traffic after the show. Food selection at the stadium, at least in the upper bowl, was pretty limited, and the bathrooms ran out of paper towels quickly. Even thought there was an employee monitoring the cleanliness of the bathroom, they were completely out of paper towels, so she put toilet paper by the dispensers instead. I would also hate to be sitting for a game in those seats because they're made of concrete, but I suppose tickets are cheaper in the upper bowl for a reason! read more

Out in Pittsburgh initially for a pirates game, I looked up prices for a Steelers game while there, and it was almost sold out, $500 tickets left only. So I saw I can book a tour for $10 each and so glad I did! My husband was very pleased. We saw the fireworks and could honestly hear and see the game from the deck of our Airbnb the night before, (they won) which made it more fun rolling in the next morning. There's parking garages near the stadium I believe $8. You can walk around the grounds until your tour time, they give you a lanyard and check you off. ITS A STRICT CLEAR BAG POLICY. just fyi. The tour guides are amazing and nice. Bathrooms to use, you get to see the locker rooms of both the panthers and Steelers and the field, and a tour. And you get to touch the men of steel sign all the players touch. Pretty cool. Only $10 pp. it was great! Maybe one day we'll come back for a game! And they gave us 10% off in the shop.
