I was referred to Wes and Acquabella Pools by my brother in law who had his pool built by them. Wes gave us a beautiful design incorporating everything we wanted done including: Spa, outdoor BBQ island, fire pit, fire bowls deck jets, landscaping, lighting and a pergola cover. It took just under 3 months to complete and the finished product was beautiful. The reason I gave 5 stars is not just the pool construction, but Wes responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. He had 6 or 7 different crews working on the project, each picked by Wes because they knew what they were doing and did it well. The City Inspections were no problem as everything was in order. Oh, and did I mention he easily underbid the other pool contractors? It was a great value for us. I highly recommend Acquabella Pools.

Acquabella installed the pool at my home about 3 years ago. There is a pretty significant rust spot that is growing at the bottom of the pool. I've been trying to contact Wes now for a few months and he kept telling that the plaster guy will call to set up a time to come look at it to get it repaired under warranty. Never heard from a plaster guy or Wes. It's now been two weeks and Wes stopped answering his phone completely. I'm not sure if they went of business but if they didn't then I'd absolutely recommend not using this company. Not only because it is breaking down in such a short amount of time but also the fact that they aren't trying to fix.

They did an awesome job when they were working on the project. There were weeks when nothing was getting done. Overall the backyard came out really nice and we love it. Mahalo

The team at Acqua Bella Pools did a beautiful job on my backyard. Wes coordinates all the contractors resulting in process I didn't have to manage. I feel the value for the service provided was well worth it.

Wes and his crew at Acqua Bella pools did an amazing job. From start to finish if there was ever a question, I could count on Wes to give me a prompt answer. Construction started almost immediately and moved along much quicker than expected. I would not hesitate to use them again on a future property. Not only will they give you an amazing pool, but they wrapped it in probably one of the best turf installs and landscaping I've had to date.

I rarely post a review on a certain service on the other hand Acqua Bella Pools need some good attention. Wes Thaxton is the owner and he is great to work with. He is always a text away and the response is always immediate. All the pool and other added work was all contract with him. Pergola Patio covers, pavers, extension of my retaining walls, built in BBQ PIT and FIRE PIT. I am glad all the project was all contracted with him, instead of multiple contractors I have to deal with. Romualdo is his right hand and deserves a well mentioned. Although thru the project process was not all smooth and understandable, our pool was completed and all added projects. With the exception of my pool heater is still not working remotely. This is not Acqua Bella Pools. This is on MURPHY ELECTRIC INC. and I honestly believe Wes Thaxton. He had been trying to contact them for 3 weeks now and counting. How hard it is to send someone to connect 2 wires from the pool heater to power interconnect. I know what to do but this will void my warranty if I touch it. So to MURPHY ELECTRIC INC. fix my pool heater.

We had our pool and spa done by Wes with Acquabella Pools. I use the spa on a weekly basis. I love how I can turn on the spa heater on my way home from work or from the gym through the iAqualink phone app and dip right in when I get home. Overall, we're very happy with how our pool and spa turned out. We love the desert modern contemporary design which goes well with our home. If you're in the Inspirada area and you're looking to build a pool/spa, you should definitely contact Wes with Acquabella Pools!

Wes listened carefully to our ideas and produced a beautiful backyard oasis, using a small space wisely. The end result was five-star. He is very responsive and easy to work with. Using a local person gave me more confidence that any problems would be immediately addressed. Highly recommend.

Living in the Vegas heat without a pool can be dreadful. So can planning to have a pool done! But not with Wes and the crew at Acquabella. They made things simple. From the time he came over to provide a free quote, to now when we have troubleshooting questions about our pool, Wes is always there to take care of us. The crew worked efficiently and had our pool done in 3 months! Not bad considering all of the supply chain and labor issues. He was also very transparent and fair regarding cost. Hard to find folks like that these days. If you're in the market for a pool, please do yourselves a favor and reach out to Wes and Acquabella. You won't be disappointed!

We couldn't be happier with our new pool and backyard! Wes from Acqua Bella Pools is a true professional and made sure that every detail was perfect. He's got an eye for design and was EXTREMELY helpful and patient with us when picking out our options and making changes along the way. He has EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION and always kept us in the loop on the progress and timelines. He was always willing to answer any questions we had and always made us feel like a priority. He and his crew work fast, very clean and efficient. Our total project took only ~7 WEEKS! Which is insane! Our neighbors went with another company, built a much smaller pool, and that took several months to complete. I would recommend Acqua Bella to anyone looking to build a pool.

Wes and the Acquabella team were great to work with! From the initial consultation and design to the dig, to the pool being filled up. Wes was responsive and explained what was happening each step of the way which was helpful. We are super happy with the finished product! Our backyard is completely transformed and we love it! Thank you Wes and team!

I couldn't be any happier with Wes and his team! They were able to make our dream pool/backyard into reality! I highly recommend to everyone 10 out of 10. If you guys want a company that listens, collaborate with your ideas they are number 1. Super professional, excellent customer service and communication was on point. Cant wait to use our pool!

We interviewed a total of 6 pool builders when we decided to invest in building a pool and spa. We had already selected another builder when we met with Wes Thaxton from Acqua Bella Pools. Immediately after meeting with Wes, we cancelled the other builder because it was very clear that Wes and Acqua Bella's top priority was ensuring that the customer got exactly the pool that they wanted. Wes was quick to respond to our many questions throughout the design and build process. Whenever we asked, Wes was prompt to come out and meet face to face to answer questions or explain next steps. Our project was completed by Acqua Bella both on time (much faster than any other builder we interviewed), and on budget. However, you simply cannot put a price tag on all of the extra effort that Wes and Acqua Bella Pools put into making absolutely sure that we, as his customers, were not merely satisfied, but also, truly happy with our new pool and spa. We highly recommend Acqua Bella Pools. Thanks to Wes and Acqua Bella, we now have the pool and spa of our dreams!

Stay away--sales-driven company with terrible weekly maintenance…read more I hired Priority Pools based on their high ratings, and over the course of more than a month under their care, my pool was green with algae. Key Issues: Constant Upselling: Right after onboarding, they tried to sell me unnecessary overhauls--including a new saltwater cell, completely missing that my pool already had a one-year-old salt system running. Poor Tech Knowledge & Reporting: The technician assigned to my weekly route didn't speak English, which doesn't have to be a problem, but he didn't seem to know I had a saltwater pool despite my messages to the company and they assured me that he was aware. Weekly reports lacked basic chemical breakdowns and only provided a photo of a meter. Weeks of Ignored Algae Blooms: Despite multiple messages alerting them to worsening algae over several weeks, proper testing (like CYA) wasn't done until a company leader flagged it when called me after I notified them I was cancelling. Offering free service doesn't fix persistent bad service. I had to hire outside help just to restore my pool. Look past the marketing and check their most recent 1-star reviews before hiring them. I don't take this review or my experience lightly, I don't do bad reviews.

My wife and I will be relocating to Las Vegas from the East coast and recently completed…read moreconstruction of our forever home in one of Las Vegas' newest planned communities. I manage large capital projects for a Government agency, so I understand design and construction...but absolutely nothing about pools or the Las Vegas market. So we spent months researching before deciding to actually contact two (2) national chains and one (1) local company to discuss our vision and get estimates. Besides the obvious customer reviews and feedback, we were most interested in the company's project portfolios. We wanted to be sure the company had a history of creating the total backyard environment we envisioned. All three (3) had extensive experience creating the environments we wanted for our back yard...a complete package that included a desert landscape theme with lighting and irrigation, free-form pool with wet-deck and Zion-like rock waterfall, stand-alone spa, pergola-covered seating area and fire pit. All three (3) companies were able to send someone out to the house relatively soon after initial contact. Danny Lovio arrived exactly when he said he would and spent the first few minutes introducing himself and California Pools. Then...he spent the next hour LISTENING to our vision...asking questions to clarify, offering suggestions and alternatives...but more LISTENING than talking. And we had some very specific expectations and desires...specific color palette, pool features, landscape elements, sight lines, etc. As I would expect from a designer, he made sure we understood the process, limitations of our lot and budget...and he offered alternatives that might enhance our design vision and operations/sustainability. The one thing he DIDN'T do...was try to force his design vision onto us. He was very up-front about the potential cost and promised to put together a plan that fit both our vision and budget. At the end of the session, we were favorably impressed enough to pay the $250 design fee and move forward with the design/estimate process. All three (3) companies estimated 2-3 weeks to get back to us with the concept design and estimate. One (1) week later, Danny sent us his design concept package and detailed cost proposal. The design included the 3D video and the 5-page proposal included a detailed breakdown of all the elements...excavation, plumbing, electrical, concrete, equipment packages, decking, landscape, etc...to include add/deduct options that would allow us to tweak our budget. To say that Danny "nailed it" would be an understatement. He captured everything we envisioned...only better. What was really impressive, was that he managed to relay exactly what we envisioned to his landscape consultant...who also nailed exactly what we had in mind. We asked Danny to make a couple minor adjustments to the spa and color of the waterfall...but we essentially had a final plan we loved within 2 weeks of initial meeting. Construction schedules are a nice planning tool, but seldom survive the first shovel of dirt. Caliche soil, rain, wind, temperatures, labor disputes...can devastate the schedule. The construction manager's challenge is to adjust to those issues to keep the project moving forward and manage the customer's expectations. Mario Villegas is one of the best...always keeping us aware of progress with pictures and videos...and making us aware of any potential problems. The actual schedule exceeded the original 12 week schedule, but delays were legitimate weather issues...and we always knew what was happening. Throughout the process, I got the strong sense that we received the same level of attention to detail he would give to a family member. And besides being good at his job, Mario is one of the nicest, most genuine, people I've ever met. That goes for Danny too! Bottom line...this was a great experience for us with an amazing outcome. If you are in the market for a new pool, you owe it to yourself to give Danny, Mario and California Pools a close look.

Recently (August, 2026), I received a call from their customer service director, Owen. telling me that they want to make amends (5 years later!) and see what they can do to "rebuild their customer service. I was a bit skeptical, and definitely had good reason to be so. After a couple of phone calls, conversations and emails, what they really wanted was to pay me to remove my prior Yelp review. The email I received included directions on how to remove, or change my Yelp review. Attached to this email was an agreement they wanted us to sign. This agreement including a NDA as well as a clause that would prevent me from saying anything negative about the company on social media sites in the past or present (so, forcing me to take down my Yelp review). Along with us signing this agreement, I would receive a check in the amount of just over $2,000. Of course, we declined. I replied to that email, saying we are not comfortable with this and would not want any further contact from him. Of course I got a reply to my email, asking if I would agree to sign a different agreement and the money I would get would be $1,999.99. I ignored this email. I wanted to come on here to inform consumers like me, that this company is willing to pay people for their Yelp reviews.

When we first spoke, she was upfront, polite, professional, and easy to speak with. In addition, she promised to be THERE for us with any questions or concerns. And, this was spot on! We are very glad that we did choose her and Mission West. Here are the pros and cons: Cons - Seriously, the PERMITS with the city will take forever. If you tweak it after it gets approved, add another 2-3 months!! We started in Nov 2022, and due to waiting for permits, we were not done until June 2023. Lessons learned: Make sure you review it with the PM before submitting it. There was "loss" in translation on the diagram and we had to tweak it to make it work. - We went with the white plaster. Filled with water, it is light blue. Once you chose it, you are stuck with it for the next few years until you decide to redo the plaster. If we had to redo it, I would have gone with Blue plaster with quartz blue pebbles. Pay a bit extra. - Contractor availability. Most of the pool companies contract with specific companies. There were times that we had to wait for these companies to complete other jobs before ours could continue. As a result, the project was delayed a few days/weeks. - Hayward water pump is painful. Glad that it is far away from the main house. It is noisy and loud. For a new machine, we had issues with "high T Cell temperature and various warnings". Wish they used a different vendor. Also, wish they have two SEPARATE pumps - one for the main pool and one for the spa. - Wish we bought LARGER mosaic for the middle of the pools. However, once the plaster is down, no more mosaics...LOL... Pros - This was easy: Desiree. Our family loves her. She is very personable and is always there for us. When we call her, she usually picks up or call us back within 24 hours. The communication was EXCELLENT. She really cared and we really appreciate her hard work. Note: if she did not know the answer, she always got back to us quickly. In addition, she would bring her kids. And, our kids would spend time with them... she is very cool. - Pedro the concrete guy. Don't know how to say this, he is an amazing person. Did an incredible job with the landscape and artificial service. - Alfredo rocked it with the electrical work - Sergio kicked butt with the excavation Overall, despite the hiccups, Mission West came through. Pool is great. Would highly recommend Mission West Pools.

However, over the years, we have had them return multiple times for recurring cracks. Each time, the repair involved filling the cracks, which unfortunately did not appear to resolve the underlying issue, as the same cracks kept returning. Earlier this year, I contacted Doug and again regarding the same problems. I was told the cracks were likely due to seismic activity. Based on our observations, we are not convinced that is the cause. Additionally, there is currently a metal piece protruding from the side wall they built, along with other issues. We have documented these problems over time with photos and emails. After raising these issues again and requesting further assistance to address the underlying problem, we did not receive any additional follow-up communication. Because of this, we are now exploring other options to resolve the issue. Overall, while the initial build experience was positive, our experience with follow-up repairs and warranty support has been disappointing. I am sharing this so future customers can be sure to ask detailed questions about warranty coverage and long-term repair solutions before moving forward.
