This caught our eye. It's a chain but amongst all of them it has the highest rating. It has Strauss soft serve so it was definitely not a hard sell to get us here. They have a special grass fed Sonoma beef patty which lends local appeal. Casual atmosphere very much like Gott's. I am sure Gott's actually imitated this place. The burger, pulled pork sandwich, and garlic fries were sublime. If you like pickles, be sure to get them on the burger. It was a perfect complement to the organic beef. In Cotati for business and just happened to walk by Acme Burger and decided to check it out. Beef and chicken burgers were spot on. Flavorful, and served temperature appropriate. Fresh bun, special sauce not over dressed added Pickel and onions best ever. Although The ahi burger fell short. Flavorless and over cooked. I would pass on this. It's actually not an easy thing to make a great burger. There are lots of components that all need to work together. Acme does a great burger that you can customize in many ways, but even their basic burger with lettuce, tomato and awesome sauce is really good. They also do a lot of other things well including great service, creating a fun environment, and have a lot of other options besides burgers. There really is something for everyone on their menu. First, I love their pickle bar. The fact that I can walk up and take as many pickles as I want is my favorite thing about this place. I also love their variety of sauces which are all delicious! The beef burgers are great, but I have also had their turkey burgers and they are great too. I have tried their tuna burgers and it wasn't my favorite, so I would stick with the beef or turkey. I also love their fries and their tater tots. My daughter is a big fan of their chicken tenders. Acme is our neighborhood burger joint and I love that they are here! read more

This review is long overdue, but I love this place! I live in Santa Rosa and work in Rohnert Park, so it's super convenient that they have multiple locations. I come here regularly because the food quality is consistently great. They have so many options, everything tastes fresh, and their ranch is amazing. I always get the double turkey burger -- one is definitely enough, especially if it's a double. It's always super juicy and satisfying. The garlic fries are also so good and pair perfectly with it. My boyfriend has gotten the ahi tuna burger, and it's amazing -- really fresh for fish, and he loves it every time. They also sell beer, and the service is always fast, which is a big plus. I ordered the fish n chips as a pick up order. I didn't like the fish. The breading was soggy and not the right choice for fried fish. It was so soggy that I had to eat it with a fork. I couldn't pick it up without falling apart. The breading kind of made the fish taste like chicken. I couldn't eat the whole thing. The fries were also cold by the time my husband got home. This is our first time here on a recommendation from a local friend who lives in Petaluma. I love the fact that a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops use local ingredients. Should I be surprised? No, I shouldn't, given the fact of the history of the area and the relative location to Berkely and San Francisco. Anyway, I digress...the beef is incredible and delicious and not overly seasoned. Love the buns that they use a sesame/egg based bun that is toasted and still soft to the bite. We ordered garlic fries to go with our combo, it had lots of fresh chopped garlic and salt. They were so good! This will definitely not be the last time eating these fantastic burgers. I will order their soft serve ice cream or their shakes too. When I'm in the mood for a burger I always go to Acme Burger. I only wish that they were located in Marin, but it is totally worth the ride up to cotati. I never feel uncomfortably full when I eat their burgers. Everywhere else I eat a burger. I'm uncomfortable after I eat it. Their food there is very fresh and it's easy to order. You can either order through the kiosk or you can have them take your order. We go there so often we use the kiosk. You get plenty of food when you order a side of fries or onion rings and they also have pickles on the front counter that you can have. They're very tasty! The staff are so friendly and helpful. If you need any assistance with the menu or with bringing out your order. I will not go any other place to have a burger. I will drive the 20 minutes. It takes me to get there. Well worth it! Inside is very well decorated and they have the menu on the wall or like I said before and on the kiosk. They keep the place very clean and plenty of space for you to sit and eat because they have the long picnic benches in there. There's plenty of TVs and you can pick what sport you want. Great place, great menu, great service, great food! And considering how ridiculously expensive eating out is anymore we fed four people a hearty lunch for under $80. No one left hungry. Plentiful portions of well-prepared burgers and sandwiches with fresh and abundant garnishes (the seared chicken and hot chicken were cooked perfectly) and you can make a combo meal by adding fries and a shake or soda. I wouldn't call the fries shoestring - they were cut to normal French fry size - but they were tasty and piled high. You could easily share a basket. The malt shake was rich and chocolaty (Straus!) but my only complaint as it were is there wasn't nearly enough malt in the shake). The garlic fries are obnoxiously garlicky and my dining partners rejoiced in my misery as they thoroughly enjoyed their fries (I do not like garlic if you haven't figured it out already and was dreading the car ride home) This is only the second time I've eaten here but remembered liking it enough to want to come back. Heading back to the bay, we almost stopped at In-n-out when I saw that this place had nearly 4.5 stars. Always in for a burger expedition, we stopped by. Too long didn't read: the burgers are amazing. Juicy. Have a thicc taste. The buns are also amazing, nicely baked and browned. Fresh veggies. The real thing. And pricey but not too pricey. Add that they have a great draft beer menu, but tables,and a screen to watch sportsball games, and I imagine this place gets pretty packed. Oh yeah. I forgot the pickles. Both pickled cucumbers as well as pickled carrots/cauliflower/carrots. If you like pickles then you'll love their pickles. I couldn't stop eating their pickles. And the onion rings were pretty epic as well. Five stars in my book. The only negative is that they're an hour away in Cotati. Sigh. The bacon was crispy and chopped, which made it easy to eat. The shoestring fries are excellent. The tater tots were also super good. Service is quite friendly and helpful. Enjoyed everyone a lot. We had a burger and fish sandwich plus fries,ice tea and root beer. Everthing was great including the prices, only 29 bucks for two lunches tax included. We did leave a tip in the jar of course too. My only complaint would be the table was a bit grimy. My first time trying this place as it was recommended by coworkers. Placed an order online for pick up. It was super easy. I ordered garlic fries with extra garlic, onion rings and an acme burger, medium with smoked Gouda and caramelized onions. Parking lot is shared in a plaza with other shops. Very cute and fun establishment. Employees greeted me right away and location for pick ups was easy to find. My food was ready when I arrived and hot! I also noticed they have pickles and I asked if they were free. He said yes and offered me a Togo container. I was able to take home fresh, homemade pickles. Yummy . The extra garlic was EXTRA, and I was a happy girl. (Everyone stay away! Lol) Food was delicious. Can't wait to return when I'm back in the area. It was a real treat! We found this nice spot while heading to a HS bball game. It's located in a large outdoor mall with plenty of parking. Staff greeted us when we walked in. Ordered via the iPad at the counter. We ordered an Acme Burger and wedge salad. While we waited, we munched on the very tasty pickles at the counter condiment bar. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. The burger was pretty tasty with a nice and beefy patty. It was clear that it wasn't a frozen Patty type of burger. The salad was good and had lots of bacon bits. Service is very good. My first visit to Acme Burger. Location in shopping center provides plenty of parking and a nice facility. Clean restrooms. I had the Acme burger with organic beef and American cheese and their usual toppings. And shoestring fries and a drink. They have a good condiment bar with all kinds of things to customize. I was happy see Malt vinegar and hot sauce to cut sweetness of ketchup for dipping fries. Home made pickles was a plus. Seating is mostly picnic tables inside and out. Food arrived and all was good but the beef had no flavor. While they describe a char outside and pink inside, mine had no char and medium through. Fries were a little bigger than shoestrings but good. Quantity was enough for 2 or 3. Unsweetened ice tea was good. So why 3? I expect to taste beef. I don't think I would visit again. read more

Hands down the worse fish n chips ever. Ok, so I got onion rings and they exploded with oil upon first bite. I tried another to be sure and got another mouth full of oil. My spouse got tots and those were fine. The fish had so much batter it was raw inside, yet the fish was overcooked. I won't even try to guess how that happened. I remember this place having good fish and chips, not this trash. Definitely not worth the $40 or so we paid. Oh, and the tartar sauce was hot, like someone mixed it with their chipotle mayo. Fish n chips at a burger joint? Really?? Oh yeah, and some amazing ones I tell ya!! Chef Todd Kniess has done it again! This goes to prove my theory that Acme Burger is not just great for its burgers alone. Last week I drove 500+ miles to try Acme's organic burger made from Sonoma Mountain Beef Company and it left quite a lasting impression. So here I am, back in NorCal, to try out more items from their menu at their sister location in Cotati. The 2 Acme Burger locations offer the same menu items, but the decor and vibe are completely opposite. The Santa Rosa location had the feel of an old diner and a more family-oriented touch to it. This Cotati location has more of a rugged cowboy edge to it with rustic wooden tables. I especially love the outdoor dining patio that has a lattice top and vines to provide shading. There's also a wall-size chalk board for the kids to doodle at their heart's content. For this visit, I ordered the fish n chips, buttermilk battered chicken breast with lettuce & tomatoes on the side (no buns), beer battered onion rings, chocolate milkshake, and fresh squeezed lemonade. The fish n chips were lightly seasoned with some Cajun spices that had a very inviting taste. The fish was moist and the outside was crispy and very flavorful--absolutely delicious! The fish were served under a bed of crunchy fries. I highly recommend you try this out for yourself! The buttermilk battered chicken breast was so tender, moist, and flavorful. There was not a single hint of dryness that you normally get at other places that serve chicken breast! If you typically do not like chicken breast, I promise one bite of Chef Todd's chicken breast will change your mind! They were incredibly delicious and juicy! The onion rings were dipped in beer batter, so they were extra crunchy. I couldn't finish all the onion rings and fries, so I took them to go. Hours later, they were still crispy! The chocolate milkshake was made from Straus Organic Dairy and it was YUMMY!! Like the Santa Rosa store, this location also offered self-serve jars of pickled veggies made by Chef Todd himself. They're great alone, or with your food. Customer service was EXCELLENT! Addison helped us with our order and took really great care of us! Thank you Acme Burger for another incredible dining experience! I look forward to visiting your 3rd restaurant in Petaluma when it opens in October 2022!
