Acker roofing is a total class act, Justin gave me a quote and a time frame for completion. the time frame he gave me included a couple of days to account for rain, the time given was one day to strip the old roof off, which was three layers, and haul away the debris, and one day to tape and paper the roof before the rain started, and then completion the following Monday to lay the shingles. The crew arrived on Wednesday morning at 7:30 like Justin said they would, Dustin got the crew to work right away, they were extremely courteous and professional, and had the kind of work ethic not seen often nowadays. By the end of the day Wednesday, they had completed the stripping off of the old roof, hauled it away and had the roof taped and papered and had the shingles in place to start work on Thursday. Dustin said they would be back at 7:30 Thursday morning and just like clockwork they were here on time and got right to work, by the end of the day the entire roof was shingled and gutter work started. Friday they again arrived on time to finish the gutters and even tore down my old patio cover and hauled it away, which was not a part of the original job, by Friday afternoon they were done and had cleaned up. Did i mention that they actually worked through the rain and got the job done three days earlier than was quoted. If you need your roof replaced Acker Roofing is the only way to go. When you call ask for Justin he's great at what he does. Oh, and he figured out that I was a veteran and hooked me up with the program "Roofs for Troops" which gave me a $250 rebate. I hired Acker Roofing to replace some gutters and downspouts. While their pricing was on the higher side compared to other vendors, I decided to move forward based on their reputation. On the first day of the project, one of the workers mentioned they could paint the new downspout to match the existing color if I provided the paint. However, when I followed up on the second day, I was told there would be an additional charge for painting due to extra labor--this contradicted the initial conversation and created some confusion. Additionally, during the rainy season, I noticed what appeared to be a leak in the newly installed gutter. When I contacted the company to inspect the issue, they informed me there would be a $100 fee for the visit. Overall, I felt the experience was more transactional than service-oriented. Clearer communication and better follow-through would have made a significant difference. 7-7-2025 Owner claims they never did the work. I had worked with Dusten previously so I called on him and Acker Roofing to remove old pool solar panels and install a new roof. They did an excellent job! They stuck the schedule, which was rushed as we scheduled new electric solar panels to be installed immediately after Dusten's team finished...and the quality of work outstanding (I went on the rook myself to check it out). Acker was fast, efficient, paid attention to details and used top quality materials. They also did a nice job replacing my gutters. I would have given them a five star rating had it not been for their scaffolding contractor virtually destroying my cypress tree (it will take years for it to recover), and for their demolition crew not protecting my neighbor's house and fence from falling debris.
