Ray is amazing! Called everywhere to get a tree that had fallen removed and no one picked up (not even the 24/7 tree service). Ray came by within 20 mins (in worked out clothes) to give an estimate, and came back 30 mins later to gear up and got everything done. He was also nice enough to help deliver a water softener to a friend's house on his way home. 10 stars if I could! read more

My apologies for the long review but very good professionalism should be recognized. Our relaxing Memorial Day afternoon suddenly got a little crazy when we heard some loud cracking and popping in the front yard. Thankfully no serious damage occurred other than a large tree branch crashing down onto the front lawn due to gusty winds. A quick Yelp review helped me find Rays Tree Service. It's no wonder so many others have rated Acevedo's Tree Service stars! Ray was at my house within 30 minutes to review the project and provide a very competitive quote for the job. We actually decided on additional work to trim and prune the entire tree. Ray came back the very next morning, a half hour earlier than expected to begin the work. I stayed home to watch the entire job. It was cool to watch him study the job and explain the game plan to his assistant. He was very careful around the neighbors property and especially the surrounding telephone pole wires while getting his aerial lift high into the tree. After cutting was completed, all the debris was placed into the wood chipper. Final raking and leaf blowing cleaned up the area nicely. We were very happy with the results and will definitely use Acevedo's Tree services again in the future!!! Thanks a bunch Ray. read more

We have had Acevedo Tree Service come maintain the trees on our property a few times and we have been completely satisfied with their services. Each time they have come they are prompt, always leave the area clean and a pleasure to work with. Ray is awesome. Prices are competitive. Would definitely recommend and plan to continue using for future services. read more

Ray is very professional and honest with customers. My experience with him is awesome. We had a large redwood tree in the backyard. We are concerned the safety risk given redwood's known shallow root systems. Ray came and provided an evaluation. He explained and eased our concerns. He shared the knowledge of pruning and maintenance. I highly recommend his service. read more

We ended up not going with Ray, but not for a lack of really liking him. Once he saw the scope of the work we needed, he was honest and forthright about not being able to take on such a job. He referred us to a great company and it worked out great. There is a high chance that we will use Ray for something in the future. He could have easily taken the job, but huge props for his integrity and honesty! read more

Arrived early. Completed the entire job in one hour. Professional and polite. Removed 20-foot tree with a thick trunk that was leaning over and would likely fall over soon given the heavy rains. Ground the stump. He did all this between Christmas and New Year's, which was very helpful. This is the second time Ray has come through for us. He removed a tree that had fallen over a few years ago. read more

Ray has cleaned up my Queen palms twice now, and each time he has been extremely fast in setting up and scheduling the work. He's the only one I know that uses climbing ropes to get into the trees to clean it up, meaning there are no marks left on the trunk from climbing spikes. I'll continue using him and his team to keep my palms trimmed and cleaned. He does great work and customer service is top notch. Highly recommend! read more

Had two trees pruned this week in my backyard. As always the work was fully planned and executed. The cleanup was complete. Ray's ability and knowledge is fabulous. My only tree guy. I would recommend Acevedo to everyone. Great service, Great response time Great pricing. read more

Ray did an excellent job. Prompt, reliable, responsive and knows what he's doing. I would not hesitate using his services in the future.

Ray was wonderful to work with. He and his crew wore masks, completed the job within 6 days of our initial and did top quality arbor work. Their price was competitive. They were even nice enough to clean some debris from off our roof as a favor. The trees in the image were quite a mess woth rain spouts and cross branching. They look so handsome and proud now read more

Excellent service, communication, and pricing. Ray, the owner, met me for a quote and explained what they would do for our messy trees situation. Over and beyond that he also educated me about trees, roots, branches, leaves, their surrounding, lifespan, expectations, and all the potential issues. Thumbs up for this business and Ray. read more

I've called Ray twice now, once to save my apple tree after we just moved in (which is now starting to really turn around for the better), and yesterday to help remove some of the 1980s landscaping in the backyard. Ray always does a thorough assessment (he realized one of the trees I thought was fine, was actually rotting from the inside-out), gives me a fair price for the entire job, and completes the work quickly. He cleans up afterward, too. The previous "tree guy" for my yard really *cked a few things up, and Ray has helped me tremendously. Give him a call already! read more

I am super happy with Ray Service. This is one of the best services I got in my lifetime along with trust, very reasonable price, on-time job and what not. I don't have anything to point him or his service. As soon as I requested the service, he contacted me and dropped by and saw the work quoted a reasonable price and finished the work the day & time he can come. Really quick without much following up with him. Really Appreciate Ray for your service. All the best for your company to you. read more

One major branch from our tree had fallen onto the yard and driveway, called a few places and Ray at Acevedo was the lowest cost and had good reviews. He came out quickly to take a look and followed up with detailed info about his liability insurance and license and an invoice. He was able to get the job done quickly and also went above and beyond in trimming some low hanging branches. Awesome job, thank you Ray! read more

Acevedo did a great job on my trees. They also cleaned up nicely. I thought the pricing was very fair. I will use them again in the future.

We called for an estimate on removing three trees and the price was competitive. We agreed the work would be done a few days later. Before leaving, the owner (I think) took the trouble to secure one of the trees (a portion had broken off and fallen) to ensure there would be no chance of further damage. Having young children, I appreciated the attention to detail and the concern for ensuring things were safe until they could do the job. Overall, strong communication around the work, good price, and quality service. read more

Ray has done a great job on the two trees at my front yard. Both of the two trees are more than 70ft and eventually the results turn very well done by Ray and his team. We appreciate for his nice work and make us a day today. read more

I called Acevedo Tree services on June 14th and quickly responded that same day to assess my dead tree over my backyard. We agreed to have it cut down by June 21th. I was looking for a tree service that could cut down an orange tree bearing fruit, pear tree that seems to have been on it's last leg and about a 10ft stump of what I believe was a honey suckle tree. In addition all 3 need to have the stumps ground down as well. I sent out a request through Yelp and Ray was one of the first people to reach out to me on a Saturday. We arranged for him to come by my house I believe on a Sunday to provide an in person estimate. He should up within the timeframe we had agreed upon and was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done and the possibility of one of the stumps not being able to be ground down, but it would be a situation that we would assess once we began the process. Ray and his team came today, Wednesday 10/18, and as he said he would show up in the morning and hopefully be done in the afternoon. He arrived prior to 9am and by the time I returned 15mins later the orange tree was completely cut down and the branches were in the driveway ready to be shredded. That was quick! Anyhow, they continued to cut down the remaining two trees and shred the debris. I had to leave and they left to get their stump grinder and upon my return a few hours I couldn't be happier. The orange tree as I had mentioned is fruit bearing, I wasn't sure if he was going to be able to pick up all the oranges that fell on the ground and to my surprise my backyard was much cleaner than it was before Ray and his team got there. I was so happy. I wanted to recommend Ray and his team as he has awesome communication via Yelp, Text, or even by phone. I find that many services struggle in that department at times, and it was much appreciated. If any of the many trees in my backyard decides to die again, Acevedo will be the first people I call! read more

We will continue to call on Acevedo for any tree services for years to come and we strongly recommend them. Thanks Ray! a pleasure to work with you every time! read more

Ray was easy to communicate with, punctual, honest and kind. He came and looked at our tree for a quote and told me it was more or less perfect the way it was and didn't need work yet. He was also reassuring about what our neighbors could do (at their own cost) if they didn't like it. His love of trees was very apparent and I won't hesitate to contact Acevedo Tree Service again when we do need help. Thanks Ray! read more

Ray Acevedo and Acevedo Tree Service are absolutely awesome. Ray obviously LOVES his work and does it meticulously. He is very respectful of your yard and the neighbor's yard (if the tree is big, limbs will likely fall into the neighbor's yard...gravity after all). Neighbor was being rude to Ray accusing him of leaving "a few twigs" in the yard. I know this was not true because I checked neighbor's yard both the night before and immediately after Ray's crew left. He left it in exactly the same condition it was the night before. He took the accusation in stride in a mellow way and did not react to cause neighbor friction. Great people skills. His crew is efficient and respectful. He gave me such a good price that it's likely he didn't make much money on the deal. I'm delighted to be rid of that debris-dropping monstrosity (tree), and have a whole new yard now. Thanks Ray! Until I need you again. read more

I have worked with Ray for many years and find him to be very good at his job in keeping our trees cut back annually. I recommend him highly. read more

Really appreciated Ray's knowledge, guidance and help in examining the trees in my yard and offering recommendations on which ones were fine and did not need any work, which ones could do with a little trimming and which ones were a potential hazard. Response was outstanding. Ray responded to my email almost immediately, came out the next morning and provided an estimate. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable...but even more important was the total attitude toward service and great communications. I will definitely contact Ray again for future work. read more

These folks ave very knowledgeable, quick, and did a great job for us at a good price! We have an old growth apricot tree that bears fruit every year. It needed a major pruning and is so big we could not do it ourselves. Acevedo came, knew just what to do and had the tree pruned and ready for next year in about one hour. They gave us pointers on how to care for and maintain the tree moving forward. A great company we will use again. read more

A big branch of our beautiful, expansive, and thick oak tree broke after the most recent rainy night. I called Acevedo Tree Service on an early Saturday morning. We had never used their services. Ray arrived at our home within the hour, walked me through all the options to save our tree, and took care of securing the tree (so that it would not break further or hurt anybody). I much appreciated Ray's knowledge about trees and how to take the best care of them. I am very grateful that we were able to save it. Ray, Angel, and Pedro were very efficient, friendly, and professional. Ray was helpful with talking to our neighbors as we had to borrow a big part of the curb to leave the tree branches for pick up. All in all, my husband and I are very satisfied with Ray's and his associates' work. We definitely highly recommend using their services. read more

I had the good fortune of finding Ray Acevedo through a friend of mine. I called him, he actually answered the phone and came to my home that very day to give me a quote to prune two of my fruit trees and remove an ugly palm. He was great! He cut down the tree in no time flat and trimmed my fruit trees to perfection. I have allot of trees in my yard and Ray is now my tree guy for sure! Not only did I appreciate the fact that he arrived when he said he would but they also cleaned everything up and didn't leave any kind of a mess at all...unbelievable! He's going to trim my pomegranate trees after they are picked. I am so happy I found this company. Thanks Ray! read more

I have used Acevedo tree service for the last two years. Ray shows up on time, does a great job trimming (I have 15-20 trees), does good neighbor trim on all my trees as well. Ray really has an eye for what makes a tree look good. My yards are left clean and neat, I couldn't be happier. I have used other big name tree services in the past but honestly they don't compare to Ray and his team. Ray's prices are very competitive and he makes sure I am satisfied with their work. Can't imagine using any other company. read more

Ray promptly responded to my request for a quote and was obviously knowledgeable about his trade of caring for trees. On the day of the job, he called me to say he was on his way and even came early. He did the work himself and had all of the tools needed to successfully trim my 2 persimmon trees. I felt Ray was very fair in his pricing, honest with his explanations of his assessments of the situation and timely with getting the work done. I would recommend Ray to my family and friends read more

I was lucky to find Acevedo Tree Service through Yelp. I called them for stump removal and Ray answered the phone. He was driving so he told me to text him my address so that he could come by. He said we did not need to be home since the stump was in front yard. About an hour later, Ray was in our front yard looking at the stump. He called us and gave us a quote on the spot. Actually we were very surprised that he showed up so soon. We had contacted several other companies and they were either no show (some even twice) or did not follow up with a quote. Ray sent us an estimate for approval later that same day. After we approved the estimate, he called 811. Then PG&E came to mark the buried utilities. Ray showed up 2 days later to remove the stump. He did a very thorough job and cleaned up afterwards. We are very happy with the result and will refer this company to our friends and relatives. read more
