Advice on filling out all the various complicated documentation assorted with a getting a passport. 2. Directions to all the relevant government agencies and their associated web pages from which you can get other important documents. 3. Your passport turned around FAST! About the cost: Certainly they are not cheap, but considering the money you would have to spend on gas getting to Houston, or the time off work you would need to get everything done without these folks, the price is very worth while. What moved me most about these folks is that I must have called them like 8 or 9 times asking for directions on various parts of the process and every time I did so, a nice woman gave concise informed responses that sped me on my way to the next stage. Also cool is that these folks really want to see you travel and if they cannot do something in a timely manner they will direct you to someone who does it faster. As Mark H. So..I needed a Tourist Visa to go to Russia and visit my inlaws again. Previously I had used a company based in Houston, Tx, but since I was now operating out of Austin, I thought I would try a company that was as well. Not the best idea in hindsight..... For what its worth, the Russian government is very picky about its paper work, so getting something wrong is totally possible and they will not work with you, just merely spit back your application and tell you try again and get it right next time. So I contact A-Rush 2 months before Im going to Russia. Its run by a husband and wife. The husband answers, says no problem, he can get it for me in a couple weeks, he's emailing me the app and come in with it filled out, passport, etc.... Cool. So I arrive, he sends all my stuff away, I pay him his $75 fee in addition to the $175 the Russian gov requires. And for a month, I hear nothing.... I began to worry, as I was leaving in a month, and had no visa or my passport back. So I call them. His wife is in the office this time. She tells me there is a slight problem in that the Russians are not accepting my paperwork and she can't figure out why. WHAT?! Im sweating at this point. By this point its too late to mail all my stuff to the Houston company, so Im stuff trying to salvage my Visa app through A-Rush. Literally, once every 2-3days they would re-send some slightly different version of an app to the Russian gov, and it would get rejected everytime. Come 2 weeks before I have to go to Russia, and still, no Visa. It all boiled down to the app info was fine, but Russians use a type of paper that is longer and skinnier than our paper. And when they would go to scan in my app, it wouldnt fit into their scanner, so they would simply throw it away. By the time A-Rush figured this out, I had to pay an additional $175 to expedite the app- and how did it finally get approved? By my husband, literally filling out the app at A-Rush himself on their computer, physically cutting the paper himself to the Russians specifications, and sending it in the mail himself. I finally got my Visa, 3 days before I left. The couple who runs this business is no doubt nice and friendly, but if they didn't know how to deal with Russians, they really should have said something, rather than coming within 3 days of ruining my Christmas and New Year holiday with my family. We had planned a trip to Argentina that included a stay at Iguazu Falls. At the last minute we realized we would like to spend a day on the Brazilian side of the falls, but our Brazilian Visas had expired. They were able to get our new Visas in just a couple of days. Avoid this place. There are plenty of others in town, and I had a great experience with Austin Passports years ago, but chose this place cause it's closer to my house. Mistake. In September we needed a 5 day rush passport for our 2 year old daughter. While in the office I was asked to go to Kinko's to make copies of mine and my husbands passports because the color copier wasn't working. OK, that's not too bad. Then when it came time to go to the courthouse I was handed a folder and told to go to room 301 and tell them I was there for a "walk through" and that Ace Passport was my courier. I specifically asked if everything we needed was in here, I was told it was and we left. Upon arrival at the Courthouse office two of the people working in the office literally laughed and said "Ace Passport is using a new phrase again, it's "walk through" this time." They had no idea what we needed based on that terminology. They looked through the file we had and asked us for a check for $140. We had no clue what they were talking about so I called Ace and was told, "Oh I'm sorry I forgot to tell you that you need a check or money order for $140. Well, you can run down to the 7-11 by the courthouse and get a money order." There I am 5 months pregnant with my 2 year old in tow and I've already parked and made the schlep into the courthouse and he casually says I can "run down to 7-11." He took no responsibility and had no compassion for the mistake he made that caused this very inconvenient situation for my family. We had to leave and my husband had to get to work and so we were back at square one and had lost an entire business day in this process. All because the guy whose been doing this 19 years "forgot" to tell us we'd need a check. Two days later when I returned to turn in the courthouse paperwork, the guy didn't even recognize me and when I reminded him who I was he laughed and casually said, "oh sorry about that." Mark was awesome in getting our kids' passport done in time. He is a good guy and most of all, trustworthy. We found out with 6 days before our trip abroad, that both of our kids' passports were going to expire within a month (and with passport validity rules - some requiring 3 months validity - we knew we were in big trouble). Searching / scrambling for help on Google, I left him a VM on Saturday around 3pm (well after his office closed at noon and totally not expecting a call back until Monday). Mark called me soon after, around 5pm and immediately put us at ease. He calmly explained all the steps I needed to take and basically gave us hope that we might yet still make our trip. Bright and early, we were at Travis County courthouse (Airport Blvd location), submitted the applications for both the kids, got the sealed envelopes with the kids' passports and applications in them, and dropped them all off at Mark's house at Danli Ln. Paid $200 per kid (for 24hr service) plus FedEx overnight charges and drove home. Mark has someone in Houston that takes care of all such requests. As promised, he overnighted the passports to Houston on Monday evening. He apparently has one 24hr passport request permission at the Houston facility. So he submitted one passport on Tuesday and another on Wednesday (since he is allowed only one 24hr service per day). There was a minor hiccup with my second child's passport (for some reason, they delayed it by a day). So, although we were expecting our kids' passport back on Thursday, we got it early Friday morning - with our trip scheduled to depart on Saturday - just as Mark promised. Whew! I highly recommend Mark and his Ace Passport services for all your passport needs. Mark, thank you so much. I am glad it all worked out just as you said it would. I needed a China VISA and the only way to obtain one was to get it through Texas. Since I currently reside in California, I wasn't sure how that was going to happen within a couple of weeks. I called around spoke to several VISA/PASSPORT businesses, but then i came across ACE Passport Services on BBB website. I contacted the company on Sunday and was given general information on the process and what the company would do on their end. The business is not open on Sunday but Mark was answering as a curtesy to their customers (dedication, RIGHT!?). Long story short, Mark work ethics was amazing!
