"Your PASSPORT will be required for check-in." What had I just done? I had not seen my passport in YEARS and I had less than a week to get a new one. LESS THAN ONE WEEK.* Calm clarity and focused voice was what I was looking for, not just lowest cost. Mr. mumble-non-present-speed-talker was NOT going to get my business. Man, talk about life savers. In. sane. To illustrate the glory that is A Rush Passport, I will just give you the timeline. Monday 9 AM: I find out there's been a death in the Family, in Germany. Suckfest. Monday 1 PM: I've spent 3 hours calling old attorney friends of mine, their immigration law attorneys, and every passport outlet my family had ever used. No luck. Several condescending conversations and put downs later, I realized I might be out of luck and there was no way my mother's expired passport would be available by the time they leave thursday morning (tickets were already purchased). Monday 4 PM: Through another friend and the interwebs, I find A Rush Passport, look at their site (which is simple and straightforward, and therefore a bit disconcerting), and give them a call. Talk to the fellow on the other end of the line, and he tells me he can get me the passport by wednesday at 10 AM if we show up today with the paperwork and an itinerary. HAH, yeah right. Monday 5 PM: We left A Rush Passport with lighter wallets and an all-in bet that this would work out. Tuesday: Panic still ensuing. Wednesday 10 AM: Fedex rings the doorbell. This place is a find. Not cheap but they really helped me get my passport renewed so I can hope a plane to Tokyo next month (nooo, not to take submarine back to Pyongyang...). They deal will all of the hassle of filing for with the passport agency and do it quickly. My new passport was back in a week. I also understand that they can handle the pesky application for Russian visas (get stopped on a train at the Russian border without the right combination of checks and stamps on your visa and see what happens! - American spy!). It ain't cheap ($95 + $135 passport fee) but worth it to know that you will not be missing your departure due to some overworked bureaucrat pasting photos into passports in DC. read more

It turns out they airline won't let you leave the country without a passport, even though Mexico only requires a birth certificate and driver's license. We're really unorganized when it comes to planning travel -- so just over a week before getting on a plane to South America, we realized we needed a visa to visit Brazil. Truly top notch I've used Ace twice. Once in 2012 and again in 2015. In 2012 my passport was damaged and I needed a replacement in 7 days. Amazing customer service and value! If you need a hassle free passport and you are in a hurry look no further. My wife and I needed first time passports in short notice, Mark was honest which saved us money and gave me easy instructions to follow. Family is going on a cruise in the next few weeks and wanted to get a passport for our toddler. Didn't have enough time to do it through the normal methods, and after some research it looked like trying to do the rushing process ourselves would have been very difficult. We found Ace Passport services online and have been very happy with the results. Well, its been 3 months since I used Ace to get my Brazil Visa for the World Cup and I have yet to get my passport. First they used the excuse they were holding my visa because of potentially waiving my fee for the one time World Cup visa, which I had never asked about. On top of that they said they would not be able to refund the $180 visa fee. So my question to them was why would I try and get a World Cup visa if they weren't going to refund my money. I have called several times, and have not received a call back. I am traveling in several weeks and I am VERY, VERY worried.....oh, and by the way, they told me it would take 10 days. read more

Never had to get a passport expedited but these guys are excellent for when you get stuck in that pinch. Great value, they are cheap compared to the other passport expeditors. They did a 5 day turnaround for 95$ (plus govt fees) and I'm leaving flying to Canada 2 days from now! Passport mailed to my door and they took about 15 minutes to take my pictures and get me to fill out the right paperwork. They operate out of they're house but they are very nice and professional, plus cheaper than other for not having to pay Austin rent. read more
