Went to the original place but found out they have new digs! Brand new building. You can make an appointment but they take walk ins too. My teen needed to renew her passport. The person at the window was very helpful and so was the lady that reviewed our docs. I really liked the funny videos playing while we waited. The only thing they need if a sign that says they dont take cash or credit card. Tip: bring your checkbook:)

I had to change the dates for my jury service and they were very efficient and helpful. They merit a "5."

Today I attended my appointment on early Sunday morning. I scheduled a week out in advanced. I…read morearrived a bit earlier than my appointment time frame. So I had to wait a few minutes outside until they let me in. The San Antonio parking garage was available today for me to park. But I can imagine during the business week it is full as they stated on their website. I highly recommend you bring a check or money order if you don't use or have any checks prior to coming here. If you decide to have a money ensure it is for the exact amount. Check their website for documents to bring with whether it is for yourself or your child. I ensured, I had my previous expired passport, Social Security card, birth certifcate, and my Texas Drivers license. I chose the regular passport and ID card. They kept my previous passport as it was used for the verified documentation. So be expecting them keep whatever document for the processing if your application. They will mail your documents back along with your new passport. The staff here were all very friendly, informative, and resourceful with knowledge to make your experience here a delightful one. I highly recommend using this facility for your passport needs.

After getting my photo taken and paying the necessary fees, I was quickly on my way! The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and made everything seamless. I received my passport exactly within the promised timeline.

24 Hour Passports and Visa Services - Missed flight

I paid over $500 for an expedited passport service and still missed my international flight. My…read moreappointment was on January 17, and I was told I would have my passport by Saturday. I did not receive it until January 27, which was too late to travel and required me to pay $611 to rebook my flight. My passport was routed to a P.O. box inside a third-party UPS Store that was closed for multiple consecutive days. There was no voicemail, no online notice, and no response to repeated calls, making my passport completely inaccessible despite being a time-sensitive federal document. A paper sign on a locked door is not adequate notice when access to critical documents is at stake. The business avoids acknowledging that many secure third-party mailbox facilities provide after-hours key access, and that the specific location THEY chose does not. Routing a passport to a location without key access, no contingency plan, and no communication places all of the risk on the customer. After I posted a review, the owner began calling and texting me asking that I remove it, rather than addressing the access failure or the financial loss. I chose this service instead of driving to Houston, and that decision is on me. Still, it is reasonable to warn others so they can make an informed choice. If you truly need your passport by a specific date, go directly to a federal passport agency. I was told I'd get it Saturday and that's why I paid the $500 in fact when I had my appointment I hadn't even booked my flight and only bought it after I was reassured I'd have it Saturday.

Very accommodating and graceful through the entire process! I came with my passport photo already done in advanced and that helped me so much knowing kt was done before my appointment.

We came here as our city is being a jerk and closing this down. I know some of that is that our…read moreolder generation didn't want any new taxes on anything as they are selfish and don't want to pay taxes on the 3 houses they own or whatever. Still it sucks to see this going away. We came in, bought some books and browed a bit. They place had a fair amount of people, still quite a few books, music, and movies. I couldn't find much I was intersteied in but Shana did and even found me a book or two. The bathroom is weird, it is around a corner that looks like you are not allowed to go to and there is a key on a hanger that you take in with you, you don't need to unlock the door and I am not sure it even locks. If the key is missing that is how you know the bathroom has someone in it, there is a small hook on the inside to hang the key while you are in the restroom. So you have to hope people notice it is gone and you have to hope everyone puts the key back. But they are clean and they have a sign in the bathroom that the front desk can supply you with pads if needed. The one misstep here was the guy running the front desk, he was not super friendly, I heard his reaction to a lady gushing about how great the place was and how many books she found for such a good price, some were gifts and he could care less. He wasn't rude but he was doing that thing where you just nod and say uh huh. I also heard him later say he was from another branch of the library, I don't know which but I hope we don't run into him again. We got something like 7 or 8 books for 9 bucks which is fantastic. He checked us out fast, as he had better things to do and we headed out.

Let me start with - it's not a big place, and the selection isn't huge so it's not terribly likely you'll find something very specific, much less a popular title. However, it's a nice concept. They sell retired library books for VERY cheap, so if you're list looking for a new book in general, this is actually a pretty decent spot to get some and save money. They have a small lot out front but I had no trouble finding parking. The staff there were really friendly and helpful; they don't have a catalog because of all the turnover but they do have things arranged by genre so they could point me toward where I might find the book I was looking for.
