I don't need a grill at the moment because mine is pretty good, but Barbecue Supply Company will be where I go to purchase a smoker (hopefully soon). The wall of barbecue sauces and rubs is impressive. This isn't crappy stuff like you find in a grocery store. These are competition winning, mostly regional based rubs and sauces that a normal grocery store doesn't carry. For example, Joe's KC BBQ is the best sauce I've tried to this point in my life and they had multiple bottles of it available. I ended up picking up a couple different bottles from other brands based on his suggestion and I look forward to trying them.

Arriving hungry form the northwest suburbs we pleasantly surprised to find out they also SELL barbecue. It was lunchtime so we took a seat at the bar, each having a beer and a sandwich. After years of dealing with the frustration of a Pit Boss Pro vertical smoker having horrible…read morecontroller issues (not only with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and a HORRIFIC app) but temperature swings of 20 to 30° range! The controller would know it was 20 or 30° off of desired temp and do NOTHING about it, even on calm windless days! I was at my wit's end! A quick Google search led me to Smoke Daddy. Their website claimed their PID controllers would do a retrofit and keep temperatures within 5°. I wouldn't believe it! I emailed the company and found out there was a military discount to appreciate that we were a veteran family. A phone call later and a very friendly and knowledgeable agent named Daniel gave us a great deal and answered every question regarding the controller for my Pit Boss retrofit. They only ship two-day FedEx and I had it in no time. As a retired mechanic, installation was easy enough by matching schematics with the retrofit controller and the OEM Pit Boss schematics. If you're not good with electrical, have someone who is help you do this. I followed the instructions on operation and ran some bacon through my smoker and it held temperature wonderfully! Not within 5° but within 2° or less! Unbelievable! Also did a burn-off cleaning that was long overdue and it held temperature at 400° within plus or minus 2° for over an hour. I can't believe how good this controller is and the customer service is also top-notch. I can only imagine their other products and service are just as good. Thank you Smoke Daddy for saving my sanity and bringing smoking meats back into an enjoyable hobby again for me!

Finding a new burner assembly and a new V-deflector plate (the part that goes over the flame) online was a little discouraging--after finding the manual for the grill online and finding the part numbers, I couldn't find any places in Michigan--the best I could find was a "universal" burner piece from big-box stores that we've used in the past, and didn't work well. I finally found 3 places online. One didn't have the exact part but it said it would fit our model number--but when I looked up reviews for that company it sounded like many people ordered online and never received their parts. Nope! Another company showed the parts on their website, but the site showed the parts were out of stock. We were thrilled to finally run across this company and very pleased with the good customer service. The parts fit and worked well--we cooked out tonight and are so happy to be going into the spring season with a grill that works just like new. The whole installation process only took about 4 hours from installing the gas line, putting in the gas logs, sweeping our chimney and painting the interior box. They came out a few weeks later and got our nice new glass doors installed replacing our dated old 80s brass ones. So efficient and couldn't be more satisfied!

Never told that there were different qualities in liners. Found out by coincidence and called them. Told them which one to order and when the installer started we found out it was never ordered. As pool was being installed they asked what color steps we wanted. What? Why wasn't that asked early on. Now we had to take an ugly grey because we didn't want to wait longer. Installer had to exchange the filter system because they sent the wrong one. Next came the railing. Wrong one was returned and no credit given but we decided to add one. Installer said he would get in touch with Hansens to get the right one. Upon his completion of the install he informed us that it was supposed to come in that day. It is now over a week later and Hansons called us to get details on which one to order. I have now spent over $65000 for a pool I can't use as there is no handrail and I am handicapped.

There were a couple sets from Sunbrella that I liked, and one from another brand that uses that sort of poly wood (but not that brand name) that was really comfortable and felt nice. If only I had unlimited funds! They apparently switch over to Christmas trees in the winter months, for at least a little while, and they well grills and other outdoor equipment here as well. Their website--as of 2025 anyway--is not useful, so just stop by. They have good sales.
