Last week my wife and I found out that our bed was broken.... I wish there was a good story, but…read morethere's not. Simply put, the cross supports were in the wrong spots and the plastic frame for our Sleepnumber bed had lost its integrity. What are we going to do. First, Sleepnumber was amazing, as they replaced the defective pieces at no charge and they shipped them to us for....wait for it....no charge. So, we had the replacement parts, now I sought out to ensure that this doesn't happen again. Heck, when you weigh what I do, you do need support. So, I decide more of the wood cross supports are needed. Meeks is the local purveyor of all things wood and the customer service there was incredible. You see, I'm a novice and I need help. I took the measurements, told the salesman what I needed, and they simply did the rest, and, mind you, this all took place on a Saturday morning, a morning I would suspect is a busy morning, filled with novices like me. Did I mention the custom cuts? As I mentioned, I showed up with the dimensions and they made sure that I left with the exact sizes that I needed. The yard guys took care of that. So, I leave happy, my wife and I piece together the new frame, and once again we slept in air supported bliss last night. Meeks had great customer service, and, in this era, it just seems so few really understand and make the effort to take care of the customer. Nice job Meeks.

Single Sink Sweet Maple Bath Vanity with White Engineered Stone Top (Assembled) - Sweet Maple ($379) The hubby is remodeling our downstairs bathroom in Tahoe. Unfortunately there aren't many places close by that sell vanities, so we headed to the Home Depot in Carson City. Would have tried to get this delivered, but our last experience with HD involved the delivery company calling us saying they only deliver every other Thurs. And we are never in Tahoe on Thursdays. Then they tried to reschedule the same week after we arranged to be up there on a Thurs. In the end, we did finally get what we ordered, but it was super delayed and a hassle. We had looked at vanities at another HD location and decided to purchase the one above. It was just a matter of finding it and loading it onto the cart. It is all one piece, so if you have someone weak like me helping you take it down some stairs, you cannot remove the top. We found the easiest way was to turn it on it's side so I could grasp and hold onto the legs. Tho it did give me a splinter thru my gloves. A fine location. The staff is great and they seem to have a deep selection of Carhartt work gear, but I haven't bought anything yet. I stuck to my list even though the freezer full of pies was tempting! Apricot pie geez! So I got the RV antifreeze and spray foam and faucet. Ann was super knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. The younger guy stocking the shelves helped me get the faucet down and he was very nice as well. Another man was helpful ringing me up but needed Ann the register wizard to finalize my transaction. Unfortunately, he sent me a picture of the wrong thing which confused the person on the floor helping me out. Luckily, he told me the capacity of the wetvac and I was able to figure out what bag to buy. Ended up with the Craftsman 1 in. L X 10 in. W Wet/Dry Vac Filter Bag 5-8 gal 3 pc ($18.99). We did compare pricing to the DIY store next door and I think it was a dollar cheaper here? Not 100% sure but pricing was comparable. Very convenient since it's the closest ACE to our Tahoe place. There is a closer ACE location to us, but this was on the way, so we decided to drop by. I needed to get paint primer for the bathroom, and ended up getting Kilz Kitchen & Bath Interior Primer ($36.99 gallon). The hubs had actually gone online to see if they had primer before coming here, so we knew they would would have it. He actually needed to grab some plumbing stuff. What it was, I'm not too sure, but he ended up empty handed, so maybe they didn't have what he was looking for? This location is in a plaza, so plenty of parking. Tho we did have some issues getting out of the lot as a car just decided to stop in the middle of the path and block our way. We honked a few times and they just sat there. I finally got out of the car to tell them to move. They then went into a parking spot before I got to the car. Why they had to sit in the middle of the road, I have no idea. It was very annoying. The lady helping me said they would price match then they wouldn't and she was leaving so then some other manager guy took over and it was pretty disappointing. Meanwhile the other items I had in my cart these two cashier women kept asking me if I was ready. No. I'm waiting to hear if I'm getting the fair price for a faucet or overpaying by $70 since it's here now. Guess what - they wouldn't match and I left! No sale. Bad energy for me.
