That aside, the store is quite large for an Ace Hardware, larger than we've been in before. Lots of hardware, lawn items, and a very large landscaping area outside. I've been coming to this Ace Hardware ever since buying my house in Crowley back in Dec 2020 and they are always helpful, today being no exception. This time I needed to extend the water pipe in my shower an additional two inches so the monstrosity of a shower head will clear the shower caddy. (See pictures) As I made my way down to isle 12 a sales associate named Aiden came out of a side isle asking if I needed help. After I briefly explained what I was wanting to do, he accompanied me on down to isle 12 and after reviewing a few options, finally settled on a 2" long "nipple" pipe and a coupling (see picture). Throughout the whole process Aiden was always helpful and even offering a couple of suggestions as well. Finally, as an afterthought, I touched on HVAC air filters because, well, they were right there at the end of isle 12, and briefly explained that when I was younger, my dad had bought a metal air filter for our house so I was curious if Ace Hardware sold those as well. Turns out they do not. Thank you Aiden for your help and assistance! First picture is before, second picture is after and third picture is the pipe packages. Helpful Tip: for anyone who uses a shower caddy similar to the one in my pictures, if yours has a tendency to slide down the pipe so you're always having to slide it back up, do this: get a 1" hose clamp and attach it to the pipe right in front of the shower caddy. This will keep it firmly in place. There you go, problem solved. You're welcome. :) read more

Small store but they are capitalizing on the fact that you can never find help in Lowe's or Home Depot. When you walk in the door, someone is waiting to help you. Have been a customer since 2018, and can definitely state the customer service is second to none. A recent purchase was no exception. Had purchased a quart of paint a couple of years ago, to replace the paint that was supplied by the builder. Today, I needed to get another gallon of the paint, as we had some patches to be repaired inside the home, so Cheryl helped me out. They rematched the paint from the quart I had, and matched it perfectly, I made the purchase and went home and gave the paint to the painter. The painter came back to me, about 5 minutes later, and stated that the paint did not match what is on the walls. Luckily, I still had the original paint kit, and he was able to check it out. Sure enough, the paint is a flat, and not the semi gloss that I purchased. Told the painter I will be right back, and went back to ACE. Thankfully Cheryl was still there, and I was able to explain what had happened. Initially, Cheryl was apologetic and stated that they had matched the paint exactly as was in the quart. However, I pointed out, that the quart that I had initially purchased, was mixed wrong and was not the flat that I had initially brought in, when purchasing that quart. Once I pointed this out, Cheryl completely understood, and made up a gallon of the right color and right flat grade. She then exchanged the gallon for gallon, and was very apologetic that it had happened in the first place. I replied "Things like this happen, what matters is how they are made right". The value of this interaction is enormous, as it shows what true customer service is. Cheryl is definitely a huge asset to this ACE Hardware, as are all the employees that work there. Will always go to this location for all of my needs, before I go to the big box stores. Hope Y'all at ACE have a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year. read more

This is a good Ace Hardware location. Came in twice today because I was working on a home improvement project that wasn't going as planned. Both times I was greeted at the door. Throughout my time there I had multiple people ask if they could help in any way. The second time I was there someone even remembered I had already been in once, lol. The service was outstanding. First, I called to see if they had what we needed because Lowes and Home Depot did not. I actually had a real live person answer the phone!!!! Wonderful! They said if I could give them the product number they could make sure they had the correct part. I did, they went to look and within 3 minutes they said, Yes, they had it!! We drove the 10 miles to get the part, and it was first rate service the moment we walked in the store!! An elderly [maybe blind] gentleman asked what we were looking for we told him, and he immediately used his walkie talkie to get someone to meet us in that aisle. It was a young lady named Vic. Wow, was she knowledgeable and helpful! She even got us a $5.00 coupon! All the staff [and they hire a lot of diverse people as well as old and young] were so friendly and helpful...just like their jingle says!!! I asked the manager why they don't have an Ace in Burleson. We really need one! He said that would be a great location for one. I think Ace should put one in Burleson and hire Vic as the manager! Or the manager at this one because he lives in Crowley. Oh, and they had Buddy the cat asleep in his box on the countertop! I will not return to this store. I do not recommend this Ace location. The item online listed as $16.99 in the store it was $24.99. The Comanche, TX Ace store is well stocked but customer service is NON-EXISTENT! I've been there many times and as many as 8 employees will walk past me and NOT ONE will greet or offer assistance. They do like to huddle together around the store and BS with each other. At checkout, I'm asked every time if I have a Reward card and when I say no, NOT ONCE has a cashier asked me if I would like to get one. This ACE is definitely NOT the place with the "helpful hardware folks"! This review also applies to the ACE Hardware in Stephenville, TX! No customer service. I'm a fan of Ace Hardware and this one did not disappoint! Cashier greeted me when I walked in. Another guy asked what I was looking for, I said "Momentary button switch that I can use as a starting button on a motorcycle." I was directed to the correct isle, found what I needed and $5.49 later, we have a starter button. All that in less than 10 minutes. You can't even walk to front door of the Big Box in that time, much less find someone who knows & understands what you're asking for. Just as an FYI, most Ace Hardwares are franchise owned. Thus most owners live in the area, they have and make an investment in the neighborhood. Support the small business person when you can. Went into the Ace Hardware store at Hulen St & Sycamore School Rd to exchange about 30 +/- CRAFTSMAN tools (mainly sockets that had rust and damage). In addition, I was intending to purchasing tool boxes and drawer liners. I told the Asst Manager (summoned on the intercom to help me) that my goal was to put together a tool box as a gift for my grandson's--one currently serving in the US Navy and the other in the Air Force. Well, right off the bat this guy didn't want to be bothered. As he tried to match up each tool, he started with the excuses, "it does not match-up with what we have". This guy was highly unprofessional and obviously bothered to try. After maybe 10 minutes of showing his piss-ass attitude, I told him "nevermind...I will go to Lowes". At Lowes I walked away with 90% of the tools including the two 1/4 ratchets the guy at Ace refused to exchange--plus 2 new tool boxes, drawer liners, and some new tools to complete the gifts for my grandson's. read more

They have a lot of knowledge and can tell you how to do it if needed. 3.)Their prices aren't bad and pretty much the same as the big stores. Never have I had such a good customer service in any kind a retail store then I had today at this Ace Hardware. I was ready to check out and I had forgotten a couple things so I went back to blindly looking for something I didn't even know if they carried . I was approached by the friendliest young man his name was Abass and he helped me find everything I needed. After I checked out he helped carry all my items out to the car and was still so friendly. This is the kind of customer service that had been forgotten years ago and is the kind of customer service that will keep me coming back to this location versus one of the big commercial stores.The way I felt in the store took my bad mood and put me in a great mood realizing there is still a lot of good people and a lot of good customer service out there and people who care. read more

Recently moved to the neighborhood. Was driving around and happy to see an Ace Hardware nearby. We like to shop local if possible and this store made me realize why. We were asked by about 5 employees if we were finding everything we needed. They have a nice selection of products and everyone is so friendly there. Mandy (one of the owners) was so helpful in the garden center. She asked if we were new to the area as she had not seen us before. I like that she made an effort to get to know us. I highly recommend shopping there for flower pots. They have a beautiful selection and they are reasonably priced. They also have the best selection of ferns I have found in the Fort Worth area. I recently visited this store as we moved in. I was in a rush so I stopped here versus a big box store. I was met as I entered by a gentlemen who asked if he could help. He had someone meet me in the aisle who directed me to the product category that I was looking for. I told the gent I needed t convert a dryer plug from a 3 prong to a 4 prong plug. The gent selected the right product then asked me what the amperage I needed was. I said I don't know but I know that with amperage you're talking current draw and you can't really go wrong with a bigger number. So he handed me a cord. I looked at it and it was a range cord not a dryer cord like he originally suggested and second guessed himself. This bumps this from a 5 star to a 4 star. Nevertheless, I likely will be back at this store considering superior customer service. read more

EXCELLENT place to go for your hardware needs. Their prices are just as good, if not better, than Lowe's and Home Depot. They are close to my house, and they have many friendly and helpful employees to help you without long waits for service. The store reminds me of the old neighborhood small businesses where you are always treated well. I had to exchange a space heater I bought last night, and this morning I got it done immediately. I shudder to think of the hours I might have spent in line at a Walmart customer non-service line. The store employee spent a good half hour helping me decide on the right space heater for my needs, and I left the store feeling confident that I had bought just what I needed. I highly recommend this store to my all my friends and neighbors, and their treating me as a valued, important customer has earned my respect and continued loyalty as a customer. It would be a stupid mistake to think you would get a better deal at one of the giant hardware or department stores. It is always a pleasure to shop here. Try it and find out for yourself! Oh boy don't buy paint here. My husband bought 2 gallons of what we thought was the color we asked for. He got home and painted the entire room and closet. That is when we discovered that the color was off (not much light in either room). We trusted Ace to mix the paint properly-well we shouldn't have. When my husband returned to this store to get a refund they would only refund the one gallon he returned and not the other one despite the fact we provided the receipt. It wasn't until my husband got there and they refused to refund the other gallon that I told him to give me the phone. I told David, the so-called joke of a manager, a piece of my mind. I asked him if he would rather pay professional painters to come re-paint our room and closet? He said he didn't have to do anything! My husband has to re-paint the entire room and closet again! What a jerk this David is! ONLY after I asked for his name did he decide to refund the other gallon. Well this isn't good enough. He should have given the two new gallons for free since we have have to go thru all of the labor and time and inconvenience to re-paint all over again. What a disgrace this store is. We will never step foot in this store again after shopping here for over 5 years. I am appalled at this treatment. Buyer beware. I will shop Home Depot or Lowe's strictly from now on. I went several times to the the store and had awesome service until I spoke to the manager Bret. He spoke to me as if I should know everything about a product even though it did not say on the package! He continued be raising his voice at me to the point other customers turned and looked. On a prior trip I could hear him with raised voice like this with an employee and I could not believe until he shocked me by treating a customer this way.
