Nothing gets your attention like the words "fire hazard" but thats exactly what brought us to searching for a master electrician. We recently had our siding replaced and the electrical box hasn't been re-attached to our house AND our AC unit had tripped the breaker and burnt out. We received Carl's # from a family friend of 30 yrs & within the hour he was at our home. Not only was he able to address the issue and assure us that all was well after a few changes, he corrected the issue the AC company caused and prevented even further problems by teaching the tech we needed different amperage. We had a lot of work done including running wire an adding switches, new light fixtures and an electric fireplace to a bathroom we enlarged, adding a light fixture and wiring for a wine fridge in the kitchen, installing a ceiling fan in our living room which has a 24ft ceiling. Just had the guys come out to install 3 light fixtures yesterday. They are very reasonable compared to others. Others wanted to charge at least $100-$150 per hour and said the estimated time to install each pendant light was 30 to 40 minutes. Yikes! That's around $300, but ACE charged me $50 per light fixtures since they did not have to relocate wires. They've been in business for 40 years. Very surprised that the do not have many yelp reviews. Definitely call them. I will post before and after picture of the light fixtures. I'm having them come out again to install my light fixture in the powder room once it arrives and put in dimmers which is only $12 per dimmer once I get it at home depot. Thank you guys! read more

Eden and DJ did an awesome job after the ice storm of February 2023. They were here when they said they would be here. We had to have our meter mounted back to our house after it was pulled off by a branch on the power line. They worked quick and diligently to get done while the power company (PEC) was here to get my power back up after 6 days and 9 hours. Having problems with a number of electrical connections, including the main circuit beaker panel, I called Ace Electric based on the very high recommendations on Yelp. I was not disappointed. Master Electrician Carl asked for some details on my electrical problems. He said he would be over that afternoon to take a look. Well, he did a lot more than that! He fixed the main problem and then tackled three other serious difficulties I had, including outdoor post lights and other circuits. He was extremely knowledgeable, fixing everything with expertise. In fact, he had his son with him that he was mentoring this summer. His intricate detail in "teaching" was so interesting that I found myself following along to watch everything. We recently had them do several electrical projects including where they remounted and replaced outlets in our kitchen as part of a remodel. With COVID-19, we were delayed in getting our backsplash completed for a month after Ace Electric did the initial electrical work and as we needed the outlet covers custom cut...Ace Electric recommended allowing the backsplash installation to complete so it would be just right. While making dinner a couple of weeks ago I overloaded a circuit in our kitchen (old house, built in 1951), and could not fix the problem by resetting the breakers; we tried every single one. I was referred to Carl by my real estate agent. After being in my house a couple weeks, I decided to give him a call about putting up a couple electrical outlets on the wall for a TV that was to be mounted there the following week. Ace is honest and knowledgeable. The lights and outlets in my bathroom stopped working. I checked the breaker and even replaced the GFCI outlet thinking that went bad but still no luck. I called Ace Electric to schedule an electrician. The person that answered the phone suggested that given the age of the home, I check all the other GFCI outlets near the bathroom - other bathrooms, garage, etc. Found out it was the upstairs bathroom GFCI outlet that had tripped. Not only were Ace Electric the best electricians we've dealt with in 30 years in Austin, but they might also be the best service contractor, period (Austin's Wildlife Removal is tough competition in this regard, however). I just needed to replace two fluorescent fixtures with two LED fixtures, but one electrician who's done good work for us in the past quoted me a cost of over $500 to do the work. Needless to say, Ace was significantly cheaper. But price was really the least impressive aspect of this job. They arrived exactly on time on a Friday afternoon - when does that ever happen with contractors in the middle of the day? - and they were done in less than one hour. We almost don't want to recommend these guys, they are so good - we feel like keeping them all to ourselves. So... you're welcome! You won't be disappointed. read more
