I could not put that in my 23 year old Honda even though it only has 138,000 miles and I bought it new with 8 miles on it! Jim, at AAMCO, was very patient and listened closely to my concerns and I left it there one day and got it back the next day. They drove it and checked it over and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it and the car drives beautifully. If it ever shows an engine light or blinking green light around "D" I will immediately take it back to Jim and his team at AAMCO. I would give 10 stars if it was available. Do not hesitate to give this AAMCO a try. Honest, concerned about your vehicle, and prompt service.

February 12, 2020 the truck was dropped off at Aamco because of some noise that seemed to be coming from the transmission. The transmission has less than 19,000 normal miles on it, it wasn't used to pull a trailer, or loaded heavy. Aamco's estimate for the repair was $3600! I have the warranty 36 months/50,000 miles. They made no effort to contact their supplier in an attempt to make a case for what is obviously a poorly remanufactured transmission, for that matter there were no alternatives offered except the repair. The new transmission was the primary reason I purchased the truck, engine runs flawlessly. The review guidelines would not allow a 1 star rating. A $4738 transmission got me 19,630 miles. You can decide if you want to take your vehicle there.

Conveniently located, very clean and impressively maintained. I'm an electronics technician by trade and do some minor maintenance and repairs on my own vehicles. I was concern with a clunking that seemed to be coming from the front passenger side when I hit a bump. When I needed other work I'd ask in a "by the way' fashion, if they would also check for the source of that noise. And every time they'd fix something for between $100-$130, but the noise would linger. I know noise problems can be tricky, so I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they'll get it the next time. Finally, after 3 or 4 years and may $700 or $800 I mentioned to the receptionist that over the years they never fixed my noise problem. She conveyed it to Scott in the back and he when off. Totally offended, like I insulted his integrity. Ok, at this point I'm not sure if they'd been bilking me or maybe it was repetitive misdiagnosis or incompetence, but I knew I needed a new shop. So, I when to Sears Automotive and they found it to be a lower control arm (worn bushing). Fast-forward to my next vehicle, a couple years later, my emergency brake wasn't holding the weight of the vehicle when parked on a hill. I explained the problem to Scott and he told me that was normal. Any automotive technician knows that without the emergency brake engaged the tiny transmission pawl singularly holds a large portion of the weight of the vehicle and if it should give (which it will eventually) you're looking at big bucks in transmission repair, not to mention possibly collision damage. This time I when to Carmax, they fix it, stating it was stuck, due to stubborn rust. $61.00. We'll, that's my experience. Hope you can gleam from it.

I have been dealing with Snyders Service Center for years. Roger was always a very fair and honest…read moreperson, and I respected and trusted him. Roger has integrity. He not long ago sold his business and I went in for a simple oil change and tire sensor replacement. I asked them if they sold or gave away customer information and the gentleman told me no; they only reported repairs to Carfax. Didn't like it, but I can understand that. I told them not to sell or give away my info. 8 weeks ago, I received a letter at home from Sirius XM radio saying my auto service center and SiriusXM want to thank me for bringing my vehicle in for service and was offering me 3 months free to sign up. They even had the make and model of my vehicle listed in the letter. More junk mail and people trying to get more money. They sold or gave away my personal info after I told them not to. They now have my name, address, phone number and credit card. I was thinking of going back and having another $500+ in repairs they told me needed done, NOT NOW. I wonder how much it really needs and how much were added on. Guess I'll find out when I go elsewhere, they deceived me and now it's time to find another shop. They give you a great price for an oil change and make their money on the back side. I'd rather pay more for honest service than deceptions and add ons I may not need. It's time for damage control on what info may have gotten out. You can bet I'm watching my account after this adventure. After years of dealing with this business I hate to say this, BEWARE IF YOU GO THERE. I won't take another chance. Snyder's Auto was an honest, dependable and reasonable repair shop, not so much so now. Addendum: It's been about 4 weeks since I typed this, and I was thinking of deleting this and moving on. However, I just received another solicitation from SiriusXM with my information on it from the service visit. They get your info and do anything they want with it. Now Sirius will pass it on, and so on, and so on. What happens if someone else gets your info? or if you get hacked? do you think they will pay to recover your loses? I very much doubt it. I'm seriously thinking of turning this all over to the BBB and Chamber of Commerce. If you want to take a chance of your info getting out go here, it's your choice. I've let you know what happened to me. GOOD LUCK.

Not only did he complete the job faster than he had estimated but he was able to fix the engine under the cost that we had been prepared for. His shop is one of the few in the area that mainly focus on cars and regular sized trucks but can service the "Uhaul" type box truck that we have without costing the exorbitant prices that the big rig shops charge. I was so impressed with his work ethic, performance and honesty that I intend to utilize his expertise for anything needed for my personal vehicles. It's extremely rare to find such a knowledgable and down to earth mechanic that doesn't seem to have exploitative intentions, these days. I am pleased to give FSR an exemplary review.

I left D&J a voicemail at 4:30 on a Friday night to get a second opinion. He called me back within 15 minutes and explained all of my options better than the other shop and the car insurance company combined. Then, on Monday, once I had seen the car and taken pictures, he gave me a $100 solution to what the other company wanted $3300 for (and should have seen in the first estimate) and said another piece they claimed needed to be fixed was structurally sound. He offered to work with me to get secondhand parts to fit within my budget if I chose to salvage the car or drop the insurance claim- and I never paid him a dime for his services! I wish I would have taken our car to D&J instead of going through insurance and the other company. They are honest, communicative and truly have the customer's best interests in mind!

Sadly, I was not…read moreimpressed with their service, and this is not due to the fact that my car failed the first round of inspection. It is because I was told and then confirmed that I had EITHER 1,000 miles OR 30 days to fix my car and have it reinspected. However, upon my return to DJ's I was told the complete opposite by the same person. Instead of being within the 1,000 mile OR 30 day limit, one actually needed to be between within 1,000 miles AND within 30 days. As a result, I am now expected to take off more time from work to wait the obligatory two hours to have my car reinspected after I was assured that I did not have to follow both rules in order to be within the grace period after a failed inspection. But what really broke the straw was that the certified mechanic started working on another vehicle and I had to wait until he finished even though I had an appointment for that time. I cannot speak to their handiwork when it comes to repairs, but I can say, based off of my own experience, that New Bill's cannot effectively speak to their clients, and have poor customer service. And in the end they have caused a lot of wasted time and money in the long run.
