Seasoned Vetenary was extremely impressed by Brittney Katterfeld's training skills in handling my 19 month old high drive "working line", intact male German Shepherd for a medical visit.
Due to the lack of experience my German Shepherd has had at the vetenary's office, and the two experiences he did have, were negative and painful, my vet suggested that I administer a "doggie valium" prior to bringing him in to have his ears examined for a suspect infection in both ears.
The treatment plan ended up requiring three visits within a month. The first visit he was doped up with a perscription sedative, however, as soon as the vet tried to look at his ears, my muzzeled pup freaked out, so they injected yet another sedative, which worked. However, after the exam, the vet gave him yet another shot to reverse the first shot that was given to him. A lot of medication for one visit which also made my dog into a zombie, where I didnt recognize him. It broke my heart to see him having to experience this.
Prior to coming back for the second visit, my vet suggested that I "double up" on the seditives over a 12 hour window in hopes to avoid having to give him another sedative in shot form. I decided to call Brittney Katterfeld, Owner/Master Trainer of Accurate K-9 and ask for her help with my pup on his next 2 visits. Brittney was happy to help of course and this time NO sedative medications were involved, not from me or the vet, the entire staff was overwhelmingly impressed with Brittney's training skills. She walked my pup into the vets office with no problems, conversed with the vetenary on the best approach for the exam and the application of the meds into his ears. In a blink of an eye the exam and the application of meds in each ear were all done without my dog having any issues. My vet was blown away, shaking his head in disbelief and incredibly impressed with Brittney.
Brittney Katterfeld has been training me and my pup since July of 2018, where she has had to undo bad training from 4 other local trainers from Cheney, Deer Park, Clayton and out off Barker at the canine country club. Until meeting Brittney, I thought we were doomed to deal with bad behaviors and problems from my dog eating pooh, racing up and down the fence line w/the neighbors dog, recall, heeling, the list goes on. I now have a pup that walks a pefect heel, doesn't eat pooh anymore, excellent recall, even when out in the fields where the deer are running.
I have the utmost respect for Brittney Katterfeld as a Master Trainer and human being, which the combination of both are almost impossible to come by.
I want to close with saying that any time I have contacted Brittney her response time is almost instant, no matter the day or time. She has never said that she couldn't help, and always shows up with a smile and warm greeting.
