Terrible place to have your puppy or dog stay here unless you don't care about your dog or puppy. Owner didn't even listen to us and what we had to say. Even though we told him that our puppy, which is 6 month old, should play with the small dogs, ended up insisting that he is okay with the big dogs. Didn't even listen to us. This place is where they cram all the dogs and not enough help.... We left our puppy here for almost a week and we decided to come pick him up to walk him the night before we were suppose to finish with this place. When we picked him up, we noticed his right ear was sticky and funky looking. Upon closer inspection, we say that his ear was COVERED WITH DRY BLOOD! We took him back immediately and the owner and the workers were saying "oh it's just a little scratch from playing. It's totally normal." Bullsht that's normal! WTF! It was a large bite wound and I guarantee that no dogs "play bite" like that! We decided to take him home that day and what really ticked me off was the owner, Jason. After I told him that we will be taking him early, he exploded at me saying "ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? FOR A SMALL BITE?" Absolutely not Okay! Have some professionalism! You or your workers didn't even notice it and who knows when that happened! It could have been infected and killed my puppy! Good thing because I would have sued the living shit out of this place if it did... Not okay... My puppy was also not the same after. He picked up so many BAD HABITS from this place! He started biting and barking a lot more and more aggressively after this horrible stay... The bed we dropped off with him smelled like shit after.... All the other 1 star reviews I saw were the same thing! There dogs or puppies got severely wounded or hurt... Overall, if you want your dog or puppy to just be a number for them to cram in, this is your place...

Boarding prices are very reasonable compared to other businesses we've seen in the area

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us a tour after our pup had his trial, and the facility was so nice and clean. Looks like dog's idea of heaven!

This was our first time leaving our anxious beagle Travis overnight. Travis stayed for 4 nights and he did amazing. I checked in 2 days into our trip and without even having to ask about his anxiety they let us know his anxiety has been great and he hasn't needed his anxiety supplement. Travis met a buddy named Bodie. I am so thankful for the wonderful care provided. My family use to own a couple dog daycare facilities for over 15 years in California so I am very particular about the care for our kids and am very protective over them. I notice the small imperfections and cleanliness and I will save I found absolutely nothing negative about paradise pet resort. They will be trusted with all of our kids.

He is so adorable when he gets home and feels like the handsome little guy that he is!

That said, after spending time at Updawg for daycare and overnight boarding, we've seen a complete turnaround in her behavior. What's incredible is that this transformation didn't come from formal training sessions--we simply boarded her while traveling. Her improvement is 100% due to the environment and care she's received at Updawg. While we'll always be mindful (she's still an animal, after all), I now have peace of mind knowing she can interact with other dogs. That's something I never thought I'd be able to say. Another huge win: nail trims. She used to need a "doggy chill pill" just to get through them, but thanks to the gentle and loving approach from the Updawg staff, sedation is no longer needed. That's a game-changer for her and for us. The genuine love and excitement the team shows every time we drop her off or pick her up makes it easy to recommend Updawg so highly. I can travel knowing she's not just being watched--she's being loved, cared for, and having fun. Thank you to everyone at Updawg Pet Hotel & Daycare. You've made such a difference for our family!

My dog, Koa, was boarded at this facility on two occasions: July 3-5 and July 10-14. I cannot determine during which stay he became ill. When I picked him up on July 14, he was noticeably lethargic and not acting like himself. Later that evening, his condition declined rapidly. He became disoriented, was unable to stand to go outside, and his temperature measured 106°F. He was rushed to an emergency veterinary clinic and admitted immediately. Over the next several days, Koa's condition was described as critical. His white blood cell count was dangerously low, he continued to spike high fevers despite continuous fluids and cooling measures, and he required round-the-clock hospitalization. Multiple veterinary teams repeatedly prepared me for the possibility that he might not survive. I was told more than once that his prognosis was very guarded and that we needed to be prepared for the worst. He underwent extensive diagnostic testing, including imaging and a bone marrow biopsy, and ultimately required transfer to Washington State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital for ICU-level and internal medicine care. He remained hospitalized for nearly a week. The drive to WSU was approximately an hour and a half each way, and I traveled whenever possible just to see him during limited visiting hours, not knowing if each visit might be my last. Despite exhaustive testing, no definitive source of illness was identified. Koa ultimately survived due to aggressive medical intervention, including prolonged steroid therapy and the advanced care provided by the critical care and internal medicine teams at Washington State University. His total medical expenses exceeded $12,000. The owner of the boarding facility was contacted on the morning of July 15 by my boyfriend to inform her of the situation and to ask whether any other dogs had been ill during that timeframe, as this information could have assisted with veterinary diagnostics. Although I am the legal owner of the dog and the individual listed on all veterinary and boarding paperwork, the facility owner never contacted me directly by phone or email. I would have expected direct communication with the registered owner during a medical emergency of this severity. To this day, she has never reached out to me personally. Koa survived, but his recovery was long and difficult. He required months of steroid therapy with significant side effects, including excessive thirst, increased urination, and loss of bladder control--none of which he had experienced previously. Initial attempts to taper him off steroids resulted in serious complications requiring further medical intervention. He ultimately required additional long-term medication and ongoing veterinary monitoring. The emotional distress of nearly losing a family member after trusting a facility to care for him is something I would not wish on anyone. Beyond the medical crisis itself, the lack of direct communication with me as the registered owner was particularly difficult. I am not making claims of legal fault or causation. I am sharing my experience. Pets are family, and facilities entrusted with their care carry a significant responsibility. I strongly encourage anyone considering boarding here to ask detailed questions about illness monitoring, emergency response procedures, and communication expectations. I sincerely hope others take the time to think carefully before entrusting their animals to this boarding facility.

I enrolled my 10-month-old pup at the Spokane Dog Training Club expecting guidance, structure, and care. What I found instead was chaos, poor organization, and a stressful environment for both humans and dogs.   Training Structure: The club requires all participants to pass the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class before moving forward, even if you're aiming for agility or other training. While I appreciate the idea behind this, the instruction quality made it nearly impossible to succeed. Classes felt rushed, disorganized, and unproductive.   Instruction Quality: The instructors (mostly volunteers) seemed overwhelmed, undertrained, and often rude or dismissive. There was little to no individualized support, and we were all herded through like cattle.   Facility & Safety Concerns: The building is very echoey and poorly maintained. Dogs of all sizes and training levels were packed together -- not ideal, and honestly, not safe. Easy Parking? Forget it! They are letting the next class's dogs and owners come in and out while our session is still going on. An absolute mayhem!    Negative Impact: Instead of making progress, my dog actually regressed during our time there. He left more anxious after each session. This place added stress instead of building confidence. Yes, the price tag is only $65, but you get what you pay for -- and in this case, that meant confusion, stress, and zero progress.    SAVE your Money and your dog the Trauma! Look elsewhere for professional, compassionate training.
