Tried to get a job here and was excited the interview went well, as I have 11years experience in the animal field. The owner told me she would contact with the next steps to come in for a working interview and I was so excited to show them I'm good at what I do and it's my passion. Told the owner I was having surgery and was look forward to coming for it as soon as I recovered. Over a week went by and I heard absolutely nothing so called back to be told they got busy and forgot to call me and filled the position. So not only was I looking forward to something that wasn't true but they didn't even have the courtesy to call. Honestly that's not how you run a business and you don't tell someone you're gonna move to next steps and then fill the spot and not call back.Honestly it's their loss because I'm not second option and it's rare to find someone these days with the passion and the drive. read more

Love, love, love this place!! Such big space for all the dogs to play in. They have so many sizes kennels for overnight stays and both our dogs can be in one unit. They are very aware of our dogs personalities and more than once we've come in and our dog was up in the front office with the employees. They said she was acting anxious so they took her away from the other dogs for a few hours. They also have a large separate space for an optional "enrichment activity" during lunch time. If you sign you dog up for it then they have fun obstacle course, hide and seek etc for your dog to do for an hour. In addition to the small dog, large dog play areas there is also the Zen Den for older dogs or ones that need a mellower place. Each of the three areas have a outside door so they can play outside on turf. In the summer they have kiddie pools for the dogs to keep cool. We like that they are open 12 hours a day so when we go skiing on a Sunday we have time to enjoy family time and still get back to collect our dogs. We love Dawn, Katie, Gin, and how much they care and know our dogs. It's a large facility and room for them all. read more

Tried boarding here over 2 different weekends. MONTHS apart. Both times my poor dog had green snot running out of his nose when I picked him up. Kennel cough! I understand it can happen but 2 out of 2 times? My dog is vaccinated and healthy! This last time as I picked him up I was told his bed was being washed. No biggie right? Wrong! Just picked up his bed....not washed torn apart and COVERED in urine! "Miscommunication" said the office manager. No it wasn't. She was standing there on Monday when I picked up my pup and she told me to come grab the bed after it was cleaned. No empathy for my sick pup just a snide "Sorry". I would not take my worst enemy to that place let alone a loved one! read more

Absolutely the worst. Our puppy came back smelling terrible and he was absolutely filthy, with something stuck in most of the fur on his left side. We thought it was poop at first, but it did not wash out and we had to cut out large clumps of the fur there. It gets worse. He also had an open wound on his nose which they refused to talk to us about. It looked as though he had been bitten. We tried to ask as we left but the lady was too busy working on the computer. All we got was confirmation that they had our credit card on file. They admitted they were taking care of eighty dogs. Went to my sisters wedding in Florida for a week with my brother, my dad, and of course, my sister. All of our dogs stayed there, Sarge a german shepherd, Huck a goldendoodle, Roy a mini golden, and Junior a boston terrier. Roy had a $500 vet visit and had to be picked up early because he was pooping blood. The employees at CDA pet resort had NO IDEA why or what had happened, despite having numerous cameras. Junior had infected private parts and was bleeding from his privates as well, yet the workers at CDA pet resort didn't even know that. We found out ourselves when we picked him up, Sarge and Junior slept the whole day after being picked up even after not seeing us for a week. They were exhausted. Sarge, Huck, and Junior had all lost A LOT of weight for being there only 1 week, even though I had prepacked their food into baggies for lunch and dinner every day. There is no excuse for this, and there are no answers either. Each of our dogs suffered in different ways and no one's pet should be staying here overnight, or in general. Junior had to go to the Vet ER today and even the Vet told us that her daughter had worked here previously, quit, and then opened her own doggy daycare due to how they treat our babies. It is straight up neglect. Juniors vet visit was an additional $200 for his infected private parts, he has to go on antibiotics now. This place should be SHUT DOWN. All of our pets were dirty and reeked of dog urine, Junior was so filthy his white fur turned black. Huckleberry was supposed to be groomed during his stay, but he wasn't, instead he had poop stuck in his fur so bad that he couldn't use the restroom anymore. None of us know how long our fur babies were suffering from hunger, pain, etc. I feel so horrible for leaving my dogs at this place. TAKE YOUR PETS SOMEWHERE ELSE, these people take your money and then neglect your animal family. When I asked the manager what happened directly to her face she had NO ANSWERS. The groomer ended up helping us, it seemed like she was the only one keeping this place running. Not well enough however. read more

Left my dogs for a long weekend and my dogs were supposed to be groomed. They were not groomed and were filthy. Same happened with friends that took their dogs in when we did. I get they can be overwhelmed. But then a few days later I get an email about missing info on our dogs (vaccines and stuff) so I call to explain that my dogs just stayed with them and they should have everything on record as I sent it to them so they could stay. The lady was so rude and did not want to check their email and went on to delete their profiles from their database. We will definitely not be going back. read more

I took my dog for a "trial" - they give a free trial day even though I paid full price. I just wanted to. The people work hard ( I'm sure) but evidently not with my dog. I know his personality so well and when he got into the car he was rambunctious and full of energy. That told me he had been put in a cage/carrier the whole time. If he had been with other dogs, he would have been exhausted. I asked how he did and they were very vague ( another sign) and I HATE that they don't have cameras inside where you can watch your dog at anytime. Not okay. I would not go back and now I'm mad at myself for being nice and paying them. I DO NOT recommend this place. read more

This place is a NO. After making my reservation DAR in advance, and making a special trip so my dog could be "interviewed," they called the week before a holiday weekend and said they would be closed the day I was to drop off. They wanted me to come a day earlier, but since I am from out of town, that involved considerable plan changing. Even worse, they let me know the kennel would only be staffed six hours on the holiday, so my dod would be in a 4x5 wooden enclosure, where he couldn't see any other dogs, by himself. Plus they were nasty on the phone. So happy I found another place at the last minute. read more

We have always been happy with Cd'A Pet Resort. They take care of our little doxie, Lacey Louise with a lot of love and they all genuinely care about her. Half of the fun of going on a vacation or a little mini trip is knowing that your fur babies are well taken care of. The price that they charge is fair and the Peace of mind that they are cared fir Lacey is important to us. We also appreciate that they are supportive of our local community. We also use their Doggie Daycare for when we need to leave our dog alone for more that 5 hours. The price is reasonable and out dog gets to play with other dogs that are her size in a separate area from the big dogs. They also offer training and pet grooming. We have been taking our Goldendoodle here for a long time for daycare and boarding. They are wonderful with her and she loves to go. All wiggles. I just read some of the negative reviews and they are bogus. Someone is trying to smear them, probably because they were voted #1 last year. They love animals and the idea that they would lose a dog is laughable! When our dog came in with a limp they called us immediately. They treat the dogs like they are their own. They always have a few older small dogs sleeping in the office because they don't fit in with other dogs. They love and cuddle them. They are fabulous and we would recommend this facility to anyone! read more

In response to the negative review regarding missing pets. The owners sent out a letter regarding what happened and were very apologetic. It was a complete accident and an employee accidentally didn't shut a door and some cats got out. The majority of them were found and returned to the owners. I have been going here for a few years and feel so awful for the owners. It was a complete accident and they have been more than apologetic and you can tell feel horrible about what happened. I don't like to see a business destroyed, especially when its owned and run by people who care. They are also doing some renovations. It looked and smelled fine when I went in yesterday. Sometimes when it's really rainy the dogs get stinky- guess what! They are dogs!!!! read more

At first sight this place is amazing. The people seem friendly. The lobby was always clean. It smells pretty good. You think when you drop off your dog that he is playing all day with his friends and being tended to in the best way possible. You feel it is money well spent right? Well look again. I first brought my Border Collie there at about 6 months old. At first it all seemed to be great! He seemed happy and came home smelly but tired. But after a few months that all changed. One night I picked up my dog as usual. He seemed quiet. I was told he had a real big day of play with his friends. Once I was home I was petting him and noticed blood. I searched him everywhere to find a rather large laceration on the side of his face behind his ear. I had to take him to the ER Vet because it was after hours. $430 later I had a very sad, drugged up dog and 6 sutures. He was bitten by another dog. The following day I approached the owner Dawn and told her about the situation. I am a seasoned dog owner as well as a veterinary technician of over 20 years. I was not angry I was more concerned that some major rough play happened and my dog was injured and no one noticed. I was brushed off and was told "sounds like puppy play to me" No eye contact. Nothing. No offer to help with the vet bill. I understand I signed a contract when we started but I felt so unheard. I felt as tho something could have been done. There are cameras in the back. No one offered to go look through the footage or even talk to any of the employees that were working during that time. It was no big deal to them. They had over 70 dogs that day. Apparently that was a normal day. They have NO CUT OFF for daycare!!! Dogs just aimlessly wondering around all day doing nothing. Too many dogs to have toys or enrichment time. You can pay 10$ more a day for your dog to have playtime in a smaller group. I did this many times but what is the point? This is what I thought I was paying for in the first place with my 250$ 21 day passes!!! Before I knew it, my dog was not happy to be there. He was overstimulated big time! It is not natural or healthy to run a daycare the way they are running it. Dawn cares about one thing and that is the dollar sign on your dogs head! Bottom line, there are TOO MANY DOGS and not enough people. The employees that are there for the most part have no idea what is going on or how to read dogs or their behavior. They are not truthful about what goes on during a typical day in that facility. They don't let you come back and take a real tour because it is filthy. They just spray the dog poop and pee to the end of the fence. My dog STUNK something awful every day because he was in an unclean environment. My dog was injured because he was in an unsafe environment. Please take your dog to a daycare that has a LIMIT to how many dogs they take in. There is no way to be safe with 70 plus dogs and one 20 something year old "Watching" them. The dogs are sprayed with water to "break up fights" I have personally seen employees mistreat dogs. If you love your pet, please go anywhere else but here. Do your research. read more

My dog came into heat while boarding there. They called me to tell me about her heat and assured me that she would be separated from other dogs. I now have a litter of 8 pups from my purebred dog and have no idea who the sire is. Apparently the Resort doesn't keep track of such things nor did they respond to my messages left for the owner. I give it 1 star because I have to rate it. It's a 0 in my book. DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

My dog Charlie is a pitbull great Dane and some days he really doesn't want his nails cut and sometimes people cut his nails too short and hurt him and he's a little bit phobic these days about the dog groomer however today he had the best experience in a long time with Zach at CDA Pet Resorts on Government Way not only were they quick ,polite and careful , Zach even walked Charlie out to the car and gave him a treat . So if you love your dog , get your mani/pedi's done by Zach !!! It's only $10 and they have everything there including day care !!! read more

This was my first and only time I will ever let my pet stay at CdA Pet Resort. We scheduled a 9 day stay for our two dogs. When we dropped them off they were happy and healthy. When we went to pick them up the person behind the desk said that our smaller dog, a pomeranian, had been yelping when they pick her up, probably out of fear they said. This sounded strange to us, but we kept calm and waited for them to bring our dogs up front. As soon as we saw our pom we reached down to pick her up and she shrieked in pain. We immediately examined her in the lobby and found sensitivity around her hips and her bottom. She wasn't yelping in fear, she was in pain and it took us less than 30 seconds to figure it out. The person behind the desk was unconcerned and said that she had been that way for the past few days. DAYS! They never called us, and they obviously never cared to take the 30 seconds it takes to realize the dog was injured. They just let her spend days, DAYS, in pain. They didn't offer an explanation, charged us full price and never even followed up to see what happened. With further examination we found that the pom had a dingleberry that irritated her bottom to the point of developing open sores and bleeding. CdA Pet Resort noticed the dog yelping but did nothing. Their negligence kept our dog with open, bleeding, painful sores for DAYS! The CdA Pet Resort noticed the dog yelping then did absolutely nothing to help her. They never examined her. They never thought to call us to tell us there was a problem. They never showed an ounce of concern for our dog. Our experience shows that if your dog has even a minor issue during its stay at CdA Pet Resort, like a dingleberry, then it will be left to suffer until you come pick them up. I'm disgusted with their lack of concern, my girlfriend is in tears over how our dog was neglected, and I will tell everyone I know about this so that hopefully it will never happen to another dog. read more

Worst Boarding place I have ever taken my dog to. I wish I could give this place a 0 out of 5 stars but cant. Drop off went smooth lady there was nice and informed her that our dog needed medication morning and night. She let our dog stay behind the desk or at least that's what I understood for the day. Pick up was the worst. I was second in line and waited 20mins. A man who was bringing out dogs to other owners asked me the name of my dog then started walking back and turned around and then asked what breed she was. The two ladies at the front desk radioed back 3 times for my dog and still didnt arrive. After 30 mins of waiting and 12 other owners getting their dog before I did I went to the other lady at the front desk and asked if I could just go back and get my dog cause they didnt know her name or breed when it was in the paper work. She said patience is good to have and we have new people back there and I replied I have had patience for 30mins and it has run out cause you dont know what my dog is and havnt brought her. She then proceeded to walk to the boarding area and slammed the door which shook the entire wall. Finally, they brought me my dog and mad up a story saying they couldn't get a leash on her cause she was trying to bite them. Well my dog doesnt bite anyone never has. That night we found out they did not give my dog her medication. Had poop all over her. And the one lady was super rude. Lastly, while I was waiting there was a women waiting for her dogs. She got her dogs and then asked for her leash and one of the guys went back to look for it. They couldn't find it and asked what it looked liked and walked around the entire building trying to find this ladies dog leash. They finally found it. Then she asked where here dogs medications were and they again went around the entire building looking for the medication. It was labeled wrong in the pick up area. The lady then said to me maybe your dog and her stuff went home with someone else cause they dont know what they are doing there. DONT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE EVER. IF YOU DO IM SORRY AND BEST OF LUCK. OR THEY JUST NEED PEOPLE THAT ARE NICE AND RESPECTFUL WORKING THERE. read more

So happy with CDA Pet Resort. I found this place online and feel like I really lucked out. We took our 5 month old Boxer here while we were on vacation from Washington state. We wanted her to come on vacation with us but didn't to leave her alone while we were at Silverwood. The place is very nice when you walk in. The staff is wonderful. The gal at the front made me feel like Ruby would be in very good hands. She was knowledgable about the breed and handled our pup expertly. We were originally planning on only leaving her one night but called the next day to ask if we could extend Ruby's stay one more night. They cheerfully assured me that was no problem and also gave me a status update on how she was doing. (This was her first time away from us and we were kind of anxious.) When we picked her up we got to go in the back area for our reunion. We saw her in the play area with the other dogs, There was also a young man in the ring who was playing with the dogs, which was really nice to see. It was such a great experience. I hope I can find a place close to home that lives up to you all... you set the bar pretty high! read more

Numerous pets have disappeared from this facility while being boarded! With no answers from the facility as to how or why they are missing and now lost. Can you imagine going to pick up your pet and be given somebody else's pet when yours can't be found and they have no idea where it is, when it vanished or how. Just this week 5/23/22, two customers have missing cats. No explanation!! Just missing! Heart broken pet owners. There have been numerous complaints over the years of the same thing with both dogs & cats missing, loss of weight and had to be put down, horrendous smelly facility, urine & feces, in the fur and paw pads of pets. Their personal toys were never given to them, dogs run loose in the lobby and when a customer came in, a dog darted out , only to run down the street and disappear!!! This place is a death sentence for your pets!!!! read more

We have taken our two small dogs here for years and have never had a problem. Picked them up today and literally before i could say anything the one lady says very aggressively "did you know your dog is a biter and he drew blood from me?" I said no, we've never had a problem and she proceeded to tell me that the last few times he's been a problem and just complained at me. I againasked why no one hassaid anything. As I watched them try to put harneses and leashes on I can see why he may have not liked her to begin with. It took 2 employee's to try and put a harness on our daschund and they were rolling her aroubd and couldn't figure it out so I said just stop let me do it. The mean biter who draws blood is a 9lb maltipoo. The employee was a total rip and completely unprofessional about it. I said if he's done it before why didn't anyone tell me or call me when it happened and they continued to board him? She got all pissy with me and said she prefer he didn't come back and I said that's fine I wouldn't bring him back anyway based on how i saw them being handled. I wish i would've gotten her name. The old employees that used to be there were always great, but something changed and you can definitely sense a problem based on reviews and missing animals lately. I am a self-proclaimed picky dog mom. My dog is spoiled and I don't apologize for it. When I was looking for a groomer for her I loved the thought of her being able to play all day instead of being locked in a cage so we went to CDA Pet Resort. She's been going back almost every week since for day play (and baths). Every time we walk in the door she's greeted by name (not sure they know my name but they know her very well). When I pick her up the staff are great at telling me about her day (they know which dog is mine before I have to tell them who I'm there to get) and are always very helpful. Then the fun part (for me) she falls asleep almost before we're out of the parking lot...she always plays so hard that she sleeps great for the next day. I have boarded both my dog and my parents' dog. The last time my dog needed some ointment applied and they were great with making sure her ointment was applied. Her bag of stuff always come back neat and I've never had anything missing or dirty. My parents' dog is older and very grumpy so I was worried about leaving her but they have always been very understanding and patient with her and even she seems to enjoy her time there. The first time I brought the grumpy old dog I picked her up and she was in the office, I was sure she was in trouble but they had brought her up there because the little dogs were so playful it was making her nervous. I would (and have) recommended the Pet Resort to friends with dogs. read more

They are fantastic. I have a very shy and dog aggressive German shepherd. So I was concerned about dropping him off initially. They were not concerned about my dog and said he would do fine. They took him back for a 30 minute trial, I came back 30 minutes later and they walked my back. My dog was with 15-20 other dogs, getting along with all of them fine! I have dropped him off there numerous times now over the past two years. I have always had a great experience with them! I have him groomed while he is there as well, they also do a great job grooming. I love my dog like a child and would never drop him off if I did not feel good about them! We love it here! We send 2 labs and 1 hyena lab here all the time for day care and or boarding. The staff actually give a sh** about your dog and the easy drop off and pick up is perfect. The whole team does a great job. Some of the negative comments here are mind boggling - we've had nothing but the best care over a 3 year period of time. The guys that manage the play time are terrific and our dogs come home happy and tired. We've tried other places in town and it's not even close. read more

3.5-4 stars (I really can't decide!) CDA Pet Resort & Doggy Day Care was a fabulous place for our little shy dog! This was her first time away from home since she was a puppy, and we were a bit nervous she would sulk and become a recluse. However, the caretakers reported back that she did well, and even played with some of the dogs! This place was nice, clean and had a large, separate area from the grooming where the doggies could play. I *really* wanted to go in, but I abstained (you need to go in with one of the workers). They also made her look soooooo cute! This was her first bath outside the house, and they chopped off her facial hair that made her look so scraggly (THANK GOD). Now she's so cute, and everyone says "aww look at the puppy"-- even though she's an old girl. The pricing was pretty reasonable (I should note I'm not an expert in dog daycare)-- $15 for the day. Just enough time for us to be able to enjoy Silverwood :) I was considering giving them a higher rating, but they were rather difficult to get a hold of. My mom had to make a great deal of effort trying to track down a response (email, phone). Also, they almost lost the information regarding our dog's medical records. Thankfully they found it, but they could definitely prosper from better organization. read more

After they took our dog in and while we were asking some general questions in the lobby, they let several dogs out in the lobby without leashes. When somebody walked in from the outside, one of the dogs got out the door and ran away. The employee ran after it for blocks but god knows if they ever found and retrieved the dog... so unprofessional and stupid. read more

She is an excellent trainer, not only teaching the basics of obedience, but also providing great insight to dog behavior and helping parents establish life long skills for a better relationship with their dogs.
