Our experience with the organization has always been friendly and professional. They were very concerned about the safety of the puppies and, as we had been volunteers with them, they allowed us to foster for longer than four weeks to help the puppies trust people again. From that time on, we have fostered on and off for more than 12 years at least. I'm so grateful for this organization and how they care for the animals that Somehow end up at the Humane Society through no fault of their own.

I think that the potential for them to be good is lost in internecine battles. I was let loose as a foster which means that I was on the losing end. I fostered from August of 2025 until now, January 2026. I don't know why - I got a phone call on a shoddy cell from 'Kim' and I was expecting it. I *think* I'm going to be adopting a cat with colon cancer. But, I asked too many questions. What i experienced with SHS was this: The charity extends. And then it doesn't. I fostered a high maintenance cat. I'm still not sure if we'll see him again or not. But, according to the call from Kim (that I couldn't hear very well), this is all about some 'lab tests.' As a foster, I am giving my time, my love and my patience. If that's not appreciated, I'm glad that my SHS account page is no longer there. My major concern is for this cat. I have no idea if we'll see him again and, well, I think we need that cat, 'Zoe' but we call him 'Simon.' again. Hey, it's what it is. If SHS faults me, I've got tons of emails and texts that prove otherwise. But, right now, I am really wondering about Simon. So, my star value for Spokane Humane Society is based on one thing - it's about the animals. My experience indicates that this is NOT about the animals with SHS but they can always hire posters to refute me. So, you guys get a 1 from me. Honestly, if I could've given you a negative number, that would have been it. This is not about the ego of a foster coordinator. It's about the animals. Get a clue.

Pam has been doing massage work on 3 of my dogs over the past seven or eight months. One of my dogs…read morewas going through chemotherapy and the massages helped to ease the effects of the drugs. One of my other dogs is a rescue that is missing part of his hip bone due to prior trauma. She has helped him to regain some flexibility and strength in that hip and ease the strain on his other muscles that have had to compensate due to the injury. Lastly, she helps ease the pain of our old, arthritic girl who has bad knees and hocks in her hind end. After Pam leaves, all the dogs are well rested, happy and spry. She has helped them tremendously! Callie, Dom, Hobbes and I highly recommend her services.

I am a retired senior and I have limited income. I asked a quote in the ballpark of how much it would cost for this to be done. My dog has ear mites, bad ear mites. Evidence of the ear mites cc are present. I asked for a ballpark quote of how much an initial office visit would be followed by possibly sedating the dog to clean the ears thoroughly. I probably would do business with this clinic if the person could've given me some kind of a quote on what it would cost. They would not. I'm not trying to be rude, I am not trying to tell you don't go here; I'm just saying I can't do business with you unless you act more professionally. It is not my problem if your person who does quotes isn't there today. It is called cross training and I thank you for your time.

I asked to be transferred to her voicemail and they forwarded my call to a random Drs. inbox, then continuously hung up on me.. This place has just continued to be more and more toxic by each experience, despite having a nice conversation with Emily last time. I was apparently $3 dollars short after prescriptions ans the demanded it before release our girl even though she would be back in 2 weeks. I even spoke with the vet and he said "Sorry! We need it in full." $3 Seriously!!! So I charged my card again for another fee! It was a spur of the moment emergency! You'd think $856 would be enough to hold off on $3!!!! It was all about the money. VERY rude receptionist!!! And! The $856 procedure failed 2 weeks later. We had to surrender our precious girl! THEY ARE AWFUL!!!
