Accurate Biometrics at 134 n. Lasalle is the worst. The service is poor and the hours listed are deceptive. The hours say 8 am to 4pm but they don't serve constituents that are there prior to 4pm. They have you line up in the building lobby for an hour or more only to send you upstairs to be turned away even though it was not 4pm. Management didn't respond to requests for assistance. The operational procedures need evaluation. There needs to be communication with the building if you have people line up in the lobby and the office is on the 20th floor. There should also be a sign in sheet in the lobby so you know who was there at what time they were there. Sending people away after waiting for over an hour is not acceptable or good business. People take off work to go there since you are only open during normal businesses hours. To take off work, wait in line for hour(s), get on the elevator to go upstairs and sign in and then told they are not taking any more customers is unacceptable. They could have taken the last 2 customers that were let upstairs. There was half an hour left before 4pm so anyone who was allowed up should have been serviced. The girl in the office was rude and was not going to help the 2 people who were the last ones sent up to the office. John from customer service reached out to management but management would not call me while I was in the office. John told me to phone back if the lady would not serve us. She refused. When I called back the customer service team would not pick up the phone. This is the only downtown Chicago location. Accurate biometrics should have more staffing to accommodate constituents and they should have operational procedures to serve the public. If you are not going to have people come up to the office upon entering the building, you should have a sign in sheet. The office should let the building staff know when your daily cut off is so people don't stand in the lobby for hours just to be sent away. Our time is money and we would not be there if we didn't require your service. This is bad business all the way around. I lost time and money today due to deceptive office hours, staff incompetence, and poor business management. read more

This was honestly the fastest and most painless background check I ever been to and honestly it was a long trying day. I fell on the way to the train. So getting there and not having to wait at all, service was quick, they used new tech. and the technician taking my prints was fast, relaxed and informative. great value per prices but lots of employer pay for services because of legal requirements. I had to come here to get some finger prints taken care of for my new job this upcoming year. The service was insanely quick which was such a breathe of fresh air. The woman working even joked that they don't want their customers to have a "dmv experience" which I truly appreciated seeing as I had to deal with the dmv yesterday. I must have gotten in and out of this establishment in less than 15 minutes which included waiting for two people to be taken care of before me, and a full set of fingerprints taken for myself. On top of that, the woman working was very friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. Overall I had a very positive experience here and would definitely say for a downtown establishment running a large amount of daily traffic they're incredibly efficient and pleasant to work with. read more

I went to the downtown location to get a background check and was expecting a long wait, but I was in and out in under 10 minutes. The process was so quick and easy, staff was wearing a mask and had a mask requirement, hand sanitizer was available, and they promptly disinfected all the equipment after use. It is pretty unusual finding excellent customer service at places like this. I was expecting some grumpy person behind a counter who would yell at me for asking a simple question. You see, I have been scarred from dealing with many government agencies that provide similar services. Accurate Biometrics is neither a government agency nor a horrible one. The lady who greeted me pleasantly was professional, helpful, and funny. I wish every customer service agent is like her. I had to get fingerprinted because of work reasons. Working for the government in unsafe countries may be rewarding but also annoying when I have to deal with endless paperwork. I was dreading the whole fingerprinting process, but Accurate Biometrics made the process pleasant and clean. I say clean because I had to do ink fingerprinting. Some of our government agencies are still stuck in 1970s and they prefer the old school way of ink. The lady who helped me gave me instructions on how to wash off the ink after fingerprinting. Did you know that you are not supposed to wet your hands with water first? You have to use only liquid soap and rub off all the ink. You can use water after the ink starts coming off your fingers. Well, now you know. And you are welcome! Besides ink fingerprinting they also offer livescan fingerprinting, which is inkless and not messy. And now I can travel to war-torn and/or destitute countries. Isn't it ironic that I am the one who has to go through security clearance when it is these countreis where I work that have to be screened for security? Sure, throw me in civil wars where it is unsafe, but make ME do the security clearance, not the locals. At least I will be evacuated first if something goes wrong...so, there is that! read more

After getting fingerprinted here today, I'm embarrassed that I put off this task for so long because it was such a cinch! Like many other newly hired employees, I had to get fingerprinted for a job. Specifically, I had to get fingerprints to complete a background check through DCFS. When I arrived, the doorman checked my ID and then gave me a blue visitor slip, which I returned to him before leaving the building. Online, I only knew that the office was located in suite 2060, so I was confused which floor I should press on the elevator. Luckily, someone helped me out and informed me that it would be the 20th floor. I walked inside the Accurate Biometrics office and was immediately greeted by the friendly sole employee behind the desk. There were plenty of holiday decorations that made me feel extra festive and not at all grumpy about the inconvenience of making room in my schedule to be fingerprinted. The employee (who was wearing reindeer antlers--AWESOME) was very friendly and the whole process took about five minutes. That's it! For DCFS, I gave her a few pieces of paper, then she entered my information, I signed, then she rolled all of my fingers over the LiveScan. No ink, no hassle, and a receipt for proof to my employer that I was fingerprinted. I left in a great mood. Who knew fingerprinting could be...fun? read more

Employer requirements are not always the most joyous activities to do in our free time. In order to receive my Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification through the state of Illinois, I was required to have my fingerprints taken. Luckily, Accurate Biometrics is now hightech with it's "LiveScan" fingerprinting. No more ink!!! Instead, you slap your finger onto a sensation pad and roll the finger to one side, then the other. This print projects to a computer screen for you to see and you move on to the next finger until all fingers on both hands have been pictured. The fee was a bit steep at $37.00 ($2 extra for credit cards, otherwise $35) for a visit of less than 10 minutes, but the prints are electronically sent to the police for them to verify your identity and do a background check. Easy, breezy! The young gentleman was super friendly that I forgot I was in downtown Chicago for a second. There was no line at 8 am when they opened on a Tuesday morning; unlike the DMV. This location is centrally located in the Thompson Center Concourse (which is the basement near the food court) with the Clark and Lake CTA el stop upstairs. Keep in mind that they're closed for lunch between 11 am and 11:45 am (the hours were set at 12 pm/noon because it is not possible to put 11:45 am in the business profile). read more

If you want to submit your fingerprints digitally, don't waste your time or money. I spent 30-40 mins with the UPS employee trying to get the machine to scan my prints properly. I probably made 200-300 attempts. The machine seemed to like the lower quality scans more than the higher quality scans. My prints were then forwarded to the FBI who quickly rejected them for quality. When you call for a refund you, it's best that you first take try to bring your blood pressure down by relaxing and taking some deep breaths. When you call, be prepared to be told that the reason they were rejected were because your finger prints have been worn down. If you explain that you don't own any tools and that you work from your home office typing all day, the reason for the rejection will be user error by you or the onsite employee. And finally, you will be told that your "request" for a refund will be submitted. What you won't be told is whether you will receive a refund or when you will be notified if your "request" was approved. Lastly, do not dare ask to speak to a member of management because if you do, you will likely get Vicky... and trust me when I say that Vicky's lack of respect, concern and compassion will drawf all of those other reasons you were already upset. read more

The absolute Worse! Was fingerprinted in December 2020. My receipt for fingerprinting was locked away in a school so I needed a new receipt for the new school where I am to teach. Called the customer service line, and was sent a copy of a 2019 receipt. When I called back and told them it was the wrong one, I was told that I am not in their system by social security or my name and birthdate. So I paid $10 for nothing and how in the hell am I not in your system when I was just fingerprinted less than two months ago. I hope I never have to use them again. The young lady on the phone pretty much told me I'm on my own. She could have cared less that I need to get back to work. read more

She only told me to use the wipes. No mention of a bathroom!! Plus I asked her if my fingerprints were not smudged and she just said fine. Customer service is important to me in areas outside of food and hospitality. Though I appreciate how quick this location is, I don't appreciate how I was mishandled today. Came in and the Hispanic woman called me over telling me to get out my id. I said hello how are you today because she clearly skipped over greeting me. As I hand her my passport my sscard is inside of it and she takes it out and tells me you can take this because I don't want to be responsible for it. As I opened my mouth to respond she cuts me off and begins to talk about the paper work to be filled out. It may be simple to others but these checks are a lot of money and I'd appreciate if you can tell me something as trivial as what isn't included in your job description you could use that energy to greet me regardless of how busy you are. DO NOT BRING ANYONE HERE IF THEY ARE HANDICAPPED IN ANY WAY!!!!! HOLY CRAP, If you have a problem with these people and ask them for help with a special needs situation, you are out of luck. I sent emails and left phone messages describing the situation and what happened during my visit to get my father in law finger printed. The guy doing the prints had only two more thumb prints to go, when he had an anxiety attack because they were busy and he said it was taking too much time and people were waiting. I waited an hour with my father in law while he sat in his wheel chair, but that was ok?! My father in law has ALS and has trouble opening his hand, similar to someone with rheumatoid arthritis, which is very painful too. I was told by the Illinois Department of Health that they (Accurate Biometrics) can write me a waiver stating they could not complete the finger prints, EASY ENOUGH RIGHT?!? Several emails later explaining everything, they say they don't have his finger prints which I know and already explained to them, and they're sorry but are unable to help me. Kept getting the "my supervisor will call you". NOT ONE CALL. I have never in my life dealt with such incompetence or with anyone or any other company that was so completely void of any intelligence to grasp what I was telling them and to help me. Take two minutes and write me a waiver? They were absolutely no help over the phone or through our email correspondence. From what our legal department says, my father in law was discriminated against for his handicap and because they wouldn't take the extra 5 minutes to give him the help he needed while we were there.....probably only needed 2 minutes!
