Had to come here for fingerprinting & was told by an acquaintance it was a long wait. Regardless, I was close & already out & about. I decided to chance it anyway & get it over with. While easy to get to, the parking lot is a complete disaster so just be forewarned. I showed up on a weekday just after noon & found it surprisingly empty. One woman ahead of me was just leaving. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes & the woman behind the counter was friendly. This is our second time coming to this facility. My son had to come here last year and this year for a fingerprint screening for his summer jobs. The area is very congested and traffic is always terrible. Be careful of the Red Light Special or you will be getting a ticket in the mail. The reason for this 4 Star is due to the kind older lady behind the counter who was very polite. My son didn't noticed that his State ID had expired a few months ago. So, they weren't able to do the fingerprint screening on his expired I.D. The lady wasn't rude when explaining the policy. I truly appreciate her pleasant attitude about the situation. read more

This location states they close at 5PM but an older woman named (Carmen) had an issue because I arrived a quarter to 5:00 and as soon as I entered through the door, she began to insult me for arriving at that time! She than proceeded by telling me "I should leave because she had somewhere to be." After that I said, "there is no need to speak to me that way...she then got worse and replied, by saying that she didn't like people of my kind. (People!) During these trying times referring to someone as "people" is not only derogatory but racist, I am appalled by the unprofessional demeanor she possess. Wow, just wow. So horrible. I had to get my prints taken for a background check for CPS. I was told by them to go here, so I took their recommendation. I looked on their site, found a time/location for walk-ins, and popped in. After waiting 5-10 minutes, they ask: "Where's your form?" "What form?" I reply. Apparently there was some form CPS needed in the packet they sent me by email. Ok, my fault, but you don't have to give me attitude about it. They say I can have someone fax it. I have it in my email, but apparently they don't "do" email. WTF? The whole time the guy is acting like I'm being such a burden by interrupting his solitaire game. I finally manage to get friend to fax my email to them. I ask the guy if he wants to make a copy of the form, for the next person who doesn't have this standard form. I'm sure I won't be the last poor soul who forgets. But no, that just doesn't make sense to these people. Above that, they charge me a fee for using a credit card, which is not allowed ( http://www.mastercard.us/support/problems-using-mastercard.html ). AVOID this place if at all possible. Dealing with Accurate Biometrics, formerly Art's Investigiations, has been nothing short of a headache. They are the agency that my school chooses to contract with to provide fingerprinting and background checks for future teachers, so unfortunately, I had little choice in the matter. I appreciate them coming to our school, but this "service" becomes more of a nuisance when the person taking the prints refuses to honor appointments that students had made in advance. Being kept waiting 45 minutes past my appointment time and making me late for work? Not cool. I was told that the results would be mailed out in 2-3 weeks.. this was on April 18th. I received my results in the mail in the end of June, after I had logged three hours sitting on hold trying to get a human being to answer my questions - and after my advisor was threatening me with not being able to graduate this year because she had not yet received my fingerprints/background check. I also know I am not the only student to receive such crappy processing from them; our advisor had to send us a mass email reminding us to hound the folks at Accurate Biometrics because apparently, a whole batch of our background checks took almost two months to process. If given the choice, I would choose anyone but Accurate Biometrics. read more

I've had very few experiences with a service that can compare to this one. One of the women at the counter was ruder than the worst DMV employee you've ever imagined. She was yelling at people on the phone, mocking walk-ins questions, and went so far as to grab paperwork away from a woman and scoff while filling it out for her. Beyond that monster of a human being, the wait was nearly an hour and a half for a process that takes only a couple of minutes. They were averaging about one customer every 15-20 minutes with nearly 20 of us filling the waiting room. If you have the option of using another background check agency, do yourself a favor and avoid Biometrics. If you don't have the option, do yourself a favor and try to avoid this particular office. read more

I also checked out there website and it explains in great detail how to request fingerprinting services and what you need to provide. I did an out of state mail in request, which they processed in 24 hours. I though that was pretty fast service. Got my physical biometrics done here and they got REJECTED after i mailed them to the concerned authorities. Me and my wife spent 40$ (20$ each) for that and lost all the money now. Shipping is an extra loss of money. Most importantly lost my valuable time. The lady at the desk was in a unnecessary hurry ( may be to go home early) and messed it up. She should have minimum knowledge of how finger prints should be taken when thats her job there. I had to come back a second time to same location on Milwaukee after the first prints were rejected, due to poor quality, and pay another $20. The second time the prints were accepted by my agency (state of California). They did not refund me for their poor quality work and delayed my licensing. read more

Had the great pleasure of getting my fingerprint done for the first time at this location. The technician wanted me out of her way as fast as possible that she ignored my requests (I needed a physical copy as marked on my paperwork). I lost $45.00 because the technician didn't care to look into my request and my company isn't approving the scan. I now have to come back and pay even more this time because of the front desk technician's ignorance. I called to complain about this mistake. The manager, Vanessa, called me once and was "looking into it" and promised to give me a callback that day. Nope. Didn't call back. Maybe corporate with help resolve this situation, and the front desk technician will learn LISTEN to the clients and do her job properly. Don't go to Accurate Biometrics! Once you have used their services they have no reason to be helpful to you. I moved to here last year and have recently started the process of transferring my Kansas nursing license to Illinois. Part of the process involves getting fingerprinted for the state and the FBI. I recently went to Accurate Biometrics and paid 59 dollars to have my fingerprints scanned and sent to the Illinois state police and to the FBI. Within a week I had a letter from the FBI explaining that my prints were "low quality characteristics" and were denied. The letter said that I needed to have my prints resent. Because the website says "our services are guaranteed" (http://www.accuratebiometrics.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=28 ) I called to find out what I needed to do to get my prints resent. When I called I dealt with two people who each told me that it was my fault the prints were rejected. I was amazed they could make such a claim. The first gave no explanation as to how it could be my fault that they were rejected. When I asked to speak to her manager, I was told that I used too much hand sanitizer, which ruined the prints. When I told her I do not use sanitizer or lotion, she responded that I must because I am a nurse. (I haven't worked in over a year). Finally she gave me the owner's phone number. When I called him he was more friendly, but he would not budge. While the fee to have it resent is not the full 59---it is 10 this time---I feel that this company is using their power incorrectly. The company claims it is the FBI's fault, while the FBI rejected the prints because of the "low quality characteristic." Still, if I pay a 59 dollar fee to get my fingerprints sent and scanned, that service should be completed. When I asked the owner why he did not absorb this 10 cost demanded by the FBI for a reprint as part of the 'guaranteed services,' he responded that he would have to raise the price to 69 for all customers. Then, in the next breath he admitted the FBI rejects "one half of one percent" of the fingerprints submitted---not an overwhelming number that would affect the bottom line significantly. read more

DON'T go here! I needed my fingerprints done for the state board of nursing out of state. So I went here in April and there was 1 person before me so I didn't mind waiting. While I was waiting 3 more people came in and it was like 30 minutes to closing so I could tell the lady (who was the only one doing the fingerprinting) was rushing. When it was my turn She was pushing my hand down really carelessly and I could tell they were smudged I asked her about it but she said they were fine. Sure enough I got a letter from the Board of Nursing saying the FBI REJECTED the prints since they weren't good copies. I called today because on their receipt it says that if they are rejected it would only be $10 for reprint. But the lady on the phone (who I could tell could care less) said that since I sent it out of state that I would have to pay full price even though on the receipt it says if FBI and Chicago police department rejects them reprints are $10. If she didn't sound so rude and was a bit more helpful I would have just gone back today and redone them and paid full price but due to the horrible customer service in April and today, I'll be looking for a different place to go to.
