Money sucking staff. We got our garage done by their team around july and they installed it incorrectly. They tried upselling us constantly August we called them to fix it and told us the door had no issues. The door kept hitting the garage chain bar and couldnt open. New guy from a different company was baffled at how bad the installation was. read more

We were pretty frustrated when our garage door broke the day before we were going out of town. We yelped "garage door repair service" and saw the positive reviews for Access and decided to call and check availability. They were able to come out the same day; Kenny even arrived at the start of the time slot given to us. He quickly gave us a quote and fixed the door (and oiled up the other garage door that wasn't broken). They have a military discount too, which was very helpful for us. I would recommend this company and will use them for our future garage door needs! read more

Tylor was very nice when quoting the job; like 3 months ago; unfortunately nobody followed up. They said their framing guy was supposed to come in 2 weeks later; I am still waiting!!! and when I call the main office, the lady says they will call, and asks for my number for like the 47th time. and nobody has the courtesy to say that they won't do the job. I don't recommend you wasting your time. Why quote a job and then never even call the person back? read more

The phone rep and technician were friendly and professional. They gave me upfront pricing. Didn't try to up sell me anything. I called late Friday afternoon and they came out Saturday morning. They gave me 2-3 hour window. Technician called 25 minutes before his arrival. Replaced a broken spring then lubed the old equipment. He gave me recommendations on which lubricants to use on the springs and rails. In less than an hour, he was on his way. read more

Our garage door spring snapped yesterday afternoon and I immediately went online in search of a garage door repairman (or woman). I found several in my area (Waldorf, MD) and called three. Never having to hire a garage door repair-person before...I decided to go with Access Garage Doors because of their positive attitude over the phone and their pricing seemed very reasonable compared to the other two companies. AGD sent Greg Chapman out to service our door and he was not only pleasant but very thorough. Greg was at our house for about 30 minutes...he not only replaced the springs but lubricated all of the mechanical parts...and the cost was very reasonable. The next time we have a garage door issue...I am calling Access Garage Doors! read more

Fixed two broken garage doors, one with snapped cable and spring, other with bad sensor in less than 20 minutes. Very reasonable prices. Good Service. Got here during the service window. Will definitely use them again if I have issues... would recommend... I don't give 5 star reviews easy. read more

I live in Fort Washington and called for service after one of my garage doors would not lift properly. Greg, one of the service technicians, arrived the following day and within the proposed time and fixed both the cables and lubricated the other door. Additionally, I asked about the installation of a garage door keypad and he quickly took care of that as well and all for a reasonable rate. You have a customer for life! Thank you again. read more

I had Access come over and the serviceman, and owner, Greg, was awesome! He efficiently replaced our door's spring and was reasonable. I highly recommend him! read more

Two successive missed appointments due to ' staffing issues' left us regretting calling them. Wasted time taken off work and no effort made to applogize. Unprofessional way to run a company. read more

Had these folks out to do some maintenance. They really seemed to know their business and diagnosed the problems right away. They were quick, reliable and worth every penny of the $195 I spent on the repair. I will use them again in the future for sure! read more

I first heard of this company as a recommendation from multiple neighbors and was quite pleased with the results. The technician showed up within the window provided, had all the parts required, and completed the job quickly and professionally. I did not comparison shop or get any other quotes, which is my only regret. We were charged $385 for the spring replacement of our double garage door. The new spring came with a 3yr warranty. I'm not sure if that's a good price, but the service itself was top-notch. I would recommend and use this company again. read more

Can I say I'm a very satisfied customer! And what an honest business this is. I called with an emergency and they were able to get me an appointment within an hour. Not only were they timely, they were half the cost of their competitor. I would highly recommend Access Garage Doors. They are nice, friendly, efficient and very professional. It's great to know that businesses like this still exist. Again thanks read more

Greg came within the estimated time we were given. He was very friendly and honest about what we needed! The whole process of determining what was wrong with our garage and fixing it was probably about 30 minutes and our garage is running smoother than it did before it stopped working! Not to mention we spent about $200 less than we were expecting to pay! This is definitely be our go to place in the future! :) read more

Garage door wouldn't close so had to put it in manual mode. Called Access but couldn't get in contact with them during the snow storm of Jan 2016. When I finally got someone to respond, they apologized profusely and informed me of the earliest date that someone could come out to diagnose the problem. They quoted me $85 and a time between 12-3pm. At 11:45am, Greg the technician, called and gave me a heads up of 20 minute arrival time. Greg arrived promptly and figured out the problem which was relatively easy and let me know how to troubleshoot for future reference. He also tightened up screws, fixed the lightbulb and sensor. He only charged me the service call. I almost called another company to come out and fix the problem while I left my car out in the driveway for a week but so glad I waited. read more

I highly recommend this company. I needed a garage door opener installed and called around for quotes. Access was at least $125 less than every other quote I got. I set up an appointment for installation and Greg showed up on time and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. He installed the opener in about an hour, walked me through how to troubleshoot issues and even programmed the built-in opener in my car to the opener. He was relatively inexpensive, very friendly and did an excellent job. I will certainly use them again if I have garage door issues. read more

Absolutely wonderful service. I called two garage door companies to discuss installation of a new opener and repair of a garage door. Access appeared much more professional than the other company I contacted. A representative came out the very next day. He was extremely knowledgeable. He not only (very quickly) accurately identified and corrected the problem with our garage door, but identified and corrected six other problems we had. I have no affiliation with Access Garage Doors and have never before written a review on Yelp. But the service and knowledge I received from Access Garage Doors this month was above and beyond my expectations by far. I highly recommend them. read more

After reading all the good reviews. We called Access Garage Doors late in the evening on 3/12/15 and left a message. Pam called us back early the next morning on 3/13/15 and gave us an appointment for the same day. Greg arrived within the time frame we was given. He told us what we needed and he was very professional and knew what he was doing. Our springs and cables was repaired before we could blink. The price was very much what we had budgeted. Overall Access Garage Doors is the company we will be calling or referring our family and friends to. Awesome job along with excellent customer service from this company. T. Buckner 5***** read more

Use this company with confidence. I had the springs and circuit board replaced for my garage door. The price was reasonable. They came with in the time frame. Courteous service. I called the company describe what was wrong with my garage door 16 foot garage door 7 foot tall two springs one of the springs was broken I was give me a price quote of $185. I was given a timeframe of between 10 and 1 o'clock for the technician to arrive 1 o'clock came no technician so I called the shop and then they gave me another time frame for the technician to show up which is like an hour so later. When the technician arrived he looked at the garage door and I was given a price of $350 . This was double the price of what I was initially quoted as 185 for everything so I let the individual install . The breakdown of the bill was $125 each each spring total of two springs 250 for the springs $100 for labor . My suggestion is do it yourself go on YouTube if you can change a tire you can do this yourself I have a three-year warranty on this and if it breaks within that time. I'll let them replace it after that the springs break again I will be replacing it myself. The technicians reason for the double prices because he claimed it was a different type of spring which is a bunch of bullshit all the springs are all pretty much the same there a different grades of springs but it did not warrant doubling the price.I simply think this is a case of nice neighborhood nice house . let's double the price he can afford it. Let me make this perfectly clear I describe my door .I described that I wanted both springs replaced . This is the norm for when replacing springs. And that's when I was given a price quote of 185 for the labor Springs taxes included 185. read more

My garage door spring snapped, needed an overall lube job on the hardware, and needed the push button opener that's hard-wired in my garage repaired or replaced. Greg (I believe) fixed everything quickly and professionally. This is what this company does so he had all the parts in his truck to include a replacement push button switch (actually had two to choose from). I thought the price was okay but was wondering if driving up to my home in an Infiniti and wearing a suit pushed the price up (didn't discuss total cost before). A pair of springs costs about $50.00. With the switch, my total was $350.00. So, an estimated $75.00 for parts and $275.00 for less than an hour labor...seemed a bit steep. And that was after getting a $25.00 discount because he didn't show for an appointment the day before (or call to let me know he wasn't coming!). He did call in the morning to apologize for missing the appointment. I gave him a second chance because I read good reviews of the service and wanted the job done right. So, I give the work five stars but an overall rating of four stars due to the missed appointment and the price. Overall, I recommend this company...I'm satisfied with the repair and was happy that he was able to get the job done quickly and had all the parts he needed with him. I would use this company again. read more
