I know I will only use Coast Exteriors for all our needs. We have been doing business with Bob from Coast Exteriors since June of 2006 when he was highly recommended by our friends Nancy and Al from Burnett who had not only their home, but several rental properties roofed by Coast Exteriors. We contracted with Coast Exteriors in 2006 to roof our home and put new gutters on the house. Bob also recommended that we have the extra insulation he offers to their customers put on to quiet the noise and explains why he offers this to his customers. We are very happy for his suggestion and decided what Bob explained to us made sense and we had the insulation installed too. We were so pleased with their work and the quality of materials that we had them roof a rental home and garage we owned in Buckley and also had them put gutters on home too in 2008. When the second rental needed a new roof, we knew the best person for the job, picked up the phone, called Bob and had Coast Exterior not only roof and put gutters on that rental too but also had them roof a large shed on that property. They then roofed a cedar shed on our property shortly after. In the summer of 2022, we had a leak in our old garage roof and again with the wonderful quality of materials and their beautiful work they did, we did not bother to look around as we were blessed to have Bob and his crew come out and once again they did a wonderful job on that roof and as always got the job done quickly. They were wonderful workers who treated us with respect, did their work with great expertise, and once again left the area clean when finished. Here we are again, April 3, 2025, needing a roof over our deck of our home and we were lucky to once again have Bob saying he would be happy to do the work for us. We are looking forward to having them do this work as it not only beautifies the building but increases the value of the property too. Did I forget to say that their prices are very reasonable too for such high-quality roofing that they use? We have recommended Coast Exteriors to friends and family and know they are also happy with the work that Bob, his wonderful family and crew have done for them.

My Coast Exteriors roof is the worst roof I have ever experienced in my life. I have measured noise…read morelevels inside the house due to rain and thermal expansion at 80+ decibels. That is continuous roof noise at the volume of a busy downtown street, a hairdryer, or a garbage disposal and can damage hearing if exposed for an extended period. Any time it rains or the sun comes out, the roof sounds like it is exploding. The roof also leaks in numerous places during downpours. Bob brushed off all the roof noise as something to just be expected. I would never recommend a Coast Exteriors roof to anyone. Not all metal roofs are inherently so horrible and noisy. Multiple independent roofers inspected my roof and said the issues with my Coast Exteriors roof were due to poor quality, poor workmanship, and cutting corners. They said the roof could not be fixed and that if I don't want 80+ decibel rain noise across the entire roof and constant loud popping and cracking across the entire roof every time the sun comes out, the entire roof would have to be replaced. I am stuck with an extremely low-quality Coast Exteriors metal roof which is recommended by multiple roofers to be replaced less than 10% into its life. I believe this roof is less than five years old but Bob could not tell me any details because he said all of their paperwork burned up in a fire. I guess Coast Exteriors has not yet joined the digital age. This new roof on my house was one of the biggest selling points of this house, but this Coast Exteriors roof is actually the worst part about the entire property. The roofers who inspected my roof all emphasized that not all metal roofs are this horrible, just this Coast Exteriors roof. I feel a strong moral obligation to warn unsuspecting homeowners so others don't wind up trapped under a Coast Exteriors roof as well.

They came out that date. They got us an estimate within an hour and had workers there the next day. They came by periodically to check the work and always stayed in communication. There are some reviews around the unpredictable pricing, and consequently insurance billing, and they depicted Chuck as if he was aggressive and deceptive. Chuck is NOT. My place had a sudden heater leakage, with 0.4 to 0.6 inches of standing water in 2 rooms in the basement. Chuck arrived at the scene timely, explained the plan and options in detail, and provided very honest and personal advice regarding the insurance process. I had 3 water damage restoration companies come to my place for estimates that day, and Chuck's experience and resourcefulness really stood out. He was able to point out a major issue with another enclosed space that BOTH other companies failed to identify (and agreed to after I mentioned to them afterwards). Imagine how that would have caused me years later! Chuck also provided thorough alternative plans on the spot in the case we do find mold to largely reduce the cost of repairs. He has cost reduction in mind at all time even though the dumber alternative is likely also covered. I had to move to a different solution for other reasons, and I cancelled pretty much at the last second of the appointment. In the entire process, Chuck is really understanding and makes sure I am comfortable with the decisions I am making. He didn't demand for any sort of compensation, and even offered more advice, after having wasted the time and energy he already dedicated to my case. I have a lot of respect for Chuck and would definitely work with him again. I feel compelled to share my experience here as I think the review profile painted the wrong picture for me. :)

West Seattle Roofing is deceitful and corrupt. The owner (Owen Kuiken) came out to install an…read moreoverflow drain valve on our roof. In the process, he dropped a power tool on my $10,000 Air Conditioning condenser unit. He knew full well that he damaged the unit but didn't even have the decency to tell me that he did it. I only discovered the damage when my AC technician came out to do annual maintenance on my system. I then checked my security cameras and saw the recording in which Owen carelessly dropped a power tool on my unit. It took more than 6 months for Owen to pay me for the repair of the unit. He insisted that I use his contractor when I clearly preferred to use the company that installed and services my AC system. Ultimately, he only paid me half of what my installer charged to repair the damage. This too only after I submitted a fraud claim to the Attorney General, Better Business Bureau and with the State Department of Labour and Industry. This business is run by an unscrupulous scumbag devoid of ethics. Avoid at all cost.
