One day I looked at one of my bestie's hair and it just looked...better. The color was richer, more flattering on her face, she just looked about 10 years younger. I asked her who did it and she said "Kim Le! She's the best!" Fast forward a few weeks later I went to a 'friend of a friend' to get my hair done. The lowlights this person put in my hair looked greenish-black, and she left grey roots showing. It was bizarre and as a matter of fact it was so bizarre that I just got out of there as fast as I could. Once I looked at my hair in the bright light of day, I was shocked. I called Kim Le, who I had met once or twice at yoga, crying (my hair is low maintenance, I'm not a crier about my hair.) I told her what had happened. She said she was booked up for two weeks but she'd meet me at the salon after closing hours THAT NIGHT. Kim spent THREE AND A HALF hours carefully fixing my hair. New rich dark blonde base color, multiple colors of blonde highlights, a cut and blow dry. She is a mom, a business person, she has a full life, and yet she helped a stranger for THREE AND A HALF HOURS. I kept saying "Okay, this will work!" And she said "No, you are not leaving here till it is perfect!." She did not just 'fix' my hair so it was tolerable, she made it look beautiful, multi-colored, rich, and shiny. Most salons only do woman's hair but Kim does men's as well. I gave her a try almost 7 years ago and won't go anywhere else. Not only does she give you a cut but a style too. f I could give her 10 stars I would. She'll make you look like a million bucks. I have been coming to this salon for more than 10 years now being taken care by Kim. Kim is an amazing person, hair stylist and esthetician! Every time I get my hair cut by her I always love how it looks on me, she takes her time to make sure that every detail is perfect and my hair always stays looking great for a long time. Ever since I moved and now I live so far from her (over 60 miles) I have tried going to other salons around me but they never get it the way I want so I just end up going back to Kim for her to fix my hair cut that I just had done from others no matter how far she is. I drive over an hour just to have my hair done by kim, that's how amazing she is. She also takes the time to gently color my hair to make sure I get less damage with the coloring. I love her facials as well and I am always wanting for more! My face feels so clean and rejuvenated after and with the neck massage she give during them is heaven! I also enjoy the atmosphere of this salon. Kim is always so much fun to talk to and her assistants are always so friendly. They really know how to make you feel special and relaxed. Ask for Holly, or call and make an appointment first cuz I heard she works by appointment. I think she is amazing at what she does and she is such a fun person to talk to. She used to cut my hair at a different salon but after I decided grow out my hair a yr and a half ago, I lost contact of her and recently found her again. I asked for a layered v cut and some straight bangs similar to a picture I showed and she did just that! I got so many compliments from my coworkers and classmates so yeah! The picture below was taken before she made her final cuts and we were on a time crunch so I was not able to take a picture of the ending result but u get the idea. Cute salon! One-stop shop! Mani/pedi, eyebrows, spray tan, facial, even lash extensions...it's all conveniently here! Kim is way talented, along with Lisa and their assistant. I have been going to Kim for my cut and color for over 2 years now. And yes, I drive 40 minutes from Daly City, through traffic, across the Golden Gate Bridge, to Corte Madera every time, just for her to do my hair. I recently gave a different salon (much closer to home) a try, but that just helped confirm that I haven't found a stylist who does a better job on my hair than Kim does; I refuse to go to anywhere else anymore! She's quick yet detailed, and I have never walked out of Accents disappointed! Never received as many compliments (especially from strangers who would approach me) on my hair before Kim; I still get compliments 2 months into my cut! She's your go-to girl! read more

Kim does do a great job, but she's basically a one-girl show. The salon is chaotic with no one answering the phones. When you call to make an appointment, you usually get an answering machine. After you leave a message, you may or may not get a call back which is what happened to me the last time I called. I am now changing stylists as I can't deal with the frustration. read more

Josette Foster does the best blow outs on the planet!! I recently moved back to the bay area and go every week for a blow-out. I've tried multiple stylists and hands down--Josette does the best blow outs. I always get MULTIPLE compliments and head turns after having my blow out from Josette. She is in incredibly knowledgeable about hair - and I have a few unruly pieces that no one can ever seem to get to settle down but Josette is a master with the round brush, dryer and flat iron. During my 1st visit, she asked a lot of questions to understand my hair and what I like and then explained everything she was doing to my hair. Now I go in there every week and she knows exactly how I like it and she gets it right every time. She shared tips on styling my hair, and it was like a lesson. She knew everything important and shared the best process for styling natural/curly as well to save my hair from blow drying all the time. I've never had a stylist be so helpful. I went to Kim at the recommendation of a friend. It was very hectic and I waited to be seen for about 15 minutes. She seated me and kind of talked about what I wanted and then went off and mixed the hair color. To be clear and I told her this; what I wanted was just some highlights and a haircut. She told me that my hair was thin on the top and that it needed color. And that i shouldn't cut it short as then I would have bad hair days! She did not listen at all. She started doing the highlights and then started painting in all over color. I asked her what she was doing, and she said she had to do it that way to cover up the gray...but I wasn't shown the color. She trimmed my hair and blew it dry for $375. Not only have I never paid that much for my usual cut and color but she was super pushy and didn't listen, at all. I texted her the next day and she was defensive and kind of blew me off. My friend suggested I go back to get the cut straightened out but I will never go back there. Funnily enough a lot of people go to her but I will not go back. read more

I would need a lash refill every 2 weeks because they tend to clump together. I was told that my real lashes were too fine thus the clumping. After one year of trying different lash extension places, I finally took the advice of my friend who has been going to Accent Salon and was very happy with the results. Don't waste your time with this salon! I left a message to make an appointment and heard back a week later with apologies about not knowing how the message got lost blah blah. I should have known then not to make an appointment but I did. I showed up to the appointment and the salon was closed. A got a call half an hour after my scheduled appointment time that the owner couldn't get her car started or something but to come in, they were very sorry etc yet again. I returned to the salon (since I had already arranged childcare for my two small children!) and was told that they could actually no longer do a cut and color, just one or the other. Not returning an appointment call, showing up late then not even providing the service- i could hardly believe the complete and utter lack of respect and waste of my time and energy to even get there. the WORST client/customer service i have experience in a long time. awful. read more
