I arrived with an absolute emergency of a mess, a cut off all your hair, how did I get here, MESS. Major chemical/product damage, it was not viable. I was fully resigned to a short bob for a complete restart, but she was able to use her skill to come up with what she called a "custom haircut" and that's exactly what it was. Kim is fantastic!…read more After a disastrous experience at Ulta, I came to Yelp in search of somewhere to get a haircut. Trouble was, many places in Marin are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Thank goodness I found Kim on here! I was worried she'd be all booked up on Sunday but I messaged her hoping we could get squeezed in. I got a response in less than an hour! She was able to fit us both in. I'm picky with my hair. I love my length so I really only like to get the split ends trimmed and some layers added to freshen it up. Often I leave salons with less hair than I had hoped, but she knew exactly what I wanted and cut it perfectly! On top of that, she is very friendly. :) She even gave me tips on how to get my stick straight hair to curl. I've not yet had time to try it, but I'm saving those tips for the next time I attempt it. I have finally found a place I like in Marin. I will return here again when it's time for another cut.

I want to give 5 stars, but for a different reason that most would expect…read more At 6:55PM on a beautiful Friday night I was in need of help. My mother had killed the battery in her car (a 2012 ICE car) in the Safeway parking lot, and I had arrived to jump it and get it home. Unfortunately, there are so many electric (including mine) and high-end cars in Marin, that finding a car that could jump us was not easy. A gentleman parked near us (with a car that I knew could jump us) and I asked him if I could offer him some money for a jump start. (I had all the cables hooked up on my dead battery.) He explained that he was here to close his store and needed to relieve his staff and shut down. I said that I understood and wished him a good night. Several minutes later he returned and said that a coworker would handle the closing and asked how he could help. We jumped the car in a minute. He refused the money. I insisted and asked that he give it to his staff if he wouldn't accept it. There are still considerate humans in the world. And the manager at SuperCuts in Corte Madera helped to renew my faith in my fellow man. I wish I had gotten his name. I'll go back and do that. Thank you for your help! I had just recovered from 15 months of life threatening illness which caused me to lose a lot of my hair and damaged the rest that remained. I colored my own hair badly so when I came in, Michele rescued me and did a fabulous color correction and also an awesome cut eliminating a lot of the hair that was fried by my being in a coma for 8 weeks.
