The newly opened Açaí Republic is a fantastic addition to the neighborhood, boasting a bright, welcoming atmosphere that instantly puts you in a relaxed state of mind. The modern decor and clean, vibrant aesthetic make it the perfect spot to sit down, unwind, and enjoy a healthy treat. Even though they happened to mix up my order during the opening rush, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the high-energy, positive vibe of the space made it easy to overlook the hiccup. When I actually dug in, found out they messed up my order but the minor mix-up didn't matter much because the quality was absolutely spectacular. Every spoonful was incredibly fresh, perfectly chilled, and packed with rich, authentic flavor that proved they really know what they're doing. The exceptional taste and the beautiful, inviting environment completely made up for the initial mistake, and I'll definitely be returning for another bowl soon. I love this idea...a nice nutritious açaí bowl. It's such a better alternative to frozen yogurt. What could possible go wrong? I've been here three times...and each time they have messed up my order. Once I ordered with my coworkers, and all 4 of our acai bowls were messed up. They had completely mixed up toppings and added them to the wrong bowls, or completely forgot things that were supposed to be in the bowls. And when we tried to get a hold of someone to speak to about the mistake, it took WAY too long to finally get to talk to an actual person. We had to go through AI first, and it was just obnoxious. Our biggest concern was the mix-up with peanut butter and Nutella, which could be problematic for anyone with a peanut allergy. The 2nd time, I think I figured out what the issue is. I ordered in the store on their computer...so you're not even talking to a real person about your order. I had ordered extra passion fruit cream, and when my order was ready, my bowl had extra coconut - no passion fruit cream in site. The woman behind the counter (who was very nice and friendly) showed me the receipt and said that it was double coconut. I pointed out that it was double passionfruit cream. But the way the receipt printed out the order, it was easy to see how this could have been misconstrued. I'd suggest a different way of printing out the order on the receipt that is more easy to follow...because after the 3rd time my order was messed up, I'm convinced they hired Simi Valley's worst illiterate dummy to work there. How hard can this be? My bowl didn't come with pineapple, but when my friend dropped it off for me when I was at work, I saw that they had added pineapple. I don't even know where they got this idea to put pineapple in it. My bowl didn't even come with it, and I know for certain that I never asked for it. What is happening? Having 3 experiences where they messed up each time...c'mon! There's so much potential here...but figure it out! read more

Don't waste your money. I had high expectations, but this was one of the most disappointing açaí bowls I've had. The açaí tasted like cheap supermarket frozen purée, not fresh, authentic açaí. If you've had real açaí before, you'll notice the difference immediately. I ordered a large bowl and watched it being made. The employee gave me only half a banana and three strawberries basically the same amount of fruit you'd expect on a much smaller bowl. Paying extra for a large felt like a complete rip-off. The granola was stale, which made the bowl even worse. On top of that, you're forced to order at a touchscreen kiosk instead of speaking with someone, making the whole experience feel cold and impersonal. Between the low quality ingredients, skimpy portions, stale toppings, and overpriced menu, I don't see this place lasting if they don't make major changes. There are far better açaí spots that actually serve fresh ingredients and give you your money's worth. I definitely won't be back. read more

This is the best place in TOWN for açaí! The owner is so nice and gave us samples of the bases. I usually get the Brazilian, which is a mix of açaí and other fruits. There are so many toppings to choose from, I especially like the granola that I order extra. The ambience is nice too! This is not because I had a bad experience with the staff but boy oh boy did I hate the açaí bowl... it was like legit eating straight cane sugar I know what açaí is and this is not that. I got the açaí bowl and it was sooo bad then my husband got a smoothie he almost threw it up! No disrespect but spending 30$ on one small and one regular smoothie is ridiculous when the ingredients that was used tasted like crap. When we walked in yesterday not one of the employees said "hi welcome in". I stood there for awhile trying to figure out the sizes and the woman just didn't say a word. I finally asked her about the different sizes, she answered and walked away. So we started to place the order on the machine, to then realize it doesn't come with much on it. Everything is an extra charge. All the açaí bowls in the area come with as many toppings as you'd like for one price. We decided to leave because it was already at $37 dollars for 2 bowls and we wanted a total of 4. I wanted to support the new place but the price was too expensive. i am not the type of person to write reviews but i think it's needed. first, there was only one person working, which when there is at least 10 people in there, it's ridiculous. i spent about an hour in there waiting for my food. i ordered 2 acai bowls and a strawberry smoothie, which in total was 36 dollars. first with the smoothie, it was very plain and didn't have a taste. with the acai bowls, terrible. tastes like it was just sitting in a plastic bag for years. it was overpriced and overall the place smelt terrible! read more
