I am leaving this review based on my first (& last) visit. I'm not quite sure how they serve açai berry bowls with no fresh berries. Straight out the gate, it sounded like all of their berry bowl toppers belonged in a frozen yogurt spot. We got 2 bowls - Topped with "Nutella", which come to find out after tasting is actually sugar-free chocolate syrup. Why not just call it chocolate syrup instead of a brand name Hazelnut flavored chocolate spread, which is absolutely nothing like the tasteless syrup that they offer? Whipped cream - had a really funky taste to it, which the server agreed with... Both of my kids asked me to remove it from theirs. $28 for two açai bowls that ended up getting thrown in the trash. The two stars is for the service as she replaced the toppings once I scraped off all of the whipped cream and chocolate syrup. I would have no reason to come here again and trust anything - plus, if that's how much just an açai bowl was then my money is better spent somewhere I know the product is going to be amazing. After hearing good things about this place, I finally had the chance to stop in after a workout. The woman at the counter was very friendly and explained the ingredients of some of the protein shakes that looked interesting. Ended up getting the combo that included a healthy shake, fat burning tea (I picked lemon flavor) and an aloe shot (for digestive health). The aloe shot wasn't bad - a light aloe flavor so easy to drink. The tea was really good - nice flavor and refreshing. So many flavors to choose from with the protein shakes, but I decided on the salted caramel latte flavor. Flavor was good, all good ingredients, no added sugar and really kept me full for the next 3 hours. Hubby had the mango pineapple shake which was really good too. I love the fact that there are so many different flavors which makes me want to come back and try others. The shakes are made with Herbalife products, which I've used in the past, so I knew it was good. read more

The name already tells you that is healthy but when walking into the store I realized it's a Herbalife. Never seen a Herbalife smoothie shop. I came in with my bf who's never had or has had any information on it. I slightly explained it to him. But that's not the point. The lady looked super busy but she didn't quite give us that customer service welcoming. We were just talking amongst ourself trying to figure it out. Because she looked busy (not sure if she was taking over the phone orders idk) but wish she could have asked us if we knew how this Herbalife menu worked. Otherwise, you're going in for a random healthy smoothie or tea. But she looked nice. Also, if she could have asked us, she would have realized it's a new year and people have New Years resolutions and perhaps want to find something That works well for us health wise. I went here on a whim, googling smoothie places in town. Thought it was a health store originally before looking it up. This is a new fave place of mine now. It's family owned. The service is great. Feels like you have know them for years type of place. Very much a 'Cheers' vibe. Love their special with an aloe shot (for cleansing), a tea of your choice that curbs the appetite and a smoothie of your choice that has protein and great for energy. Their prices are very reasonable. Good energy in that place. And after you drink what you ordered you feel even more good energy. A zip of happiness and energy. Lol I just found out what Herbalife is I thought it was a normal juice place but it's a MLM company and the shakes are just powdered. It's also $12 for a shake a tea and an "aloe shot" which I think was just the aloe Vera Juice you get at a gas station cuz it was sweet, idk why they put it in a shot? I guess to seem more healthy? She made our shakes fast, when she made too much she let us have the extra, we asked her about the turbo teas and she made herself one and let us try some of hers in small sample cups. This place is awesome! I was passing through on my way home from Oxnard to Riverside. I was in the mood for something very healthy and filling and this hit all the right spots. Super friendly and personable staff. Now to the concept: They have a 3 step process: 1) Take a shot of aloe for all the health reasons for aloe (I forgot what they are), 2) order a shake, 3) drink tea. All very delicious and healthy. I drank the tea befire the shake since the shake was my main goal. Now to the shake - BOMB! I ordered the shake that tastes like a snickers (forgot the name). NOTE: There weren't any snickers harmed in the making of this shake. That's the amazing part. They used no snickers but it tasted like a snickers shake. The only downside is that they let me know the pricr after the fact of my order and intake of everythinf and it was $10 which is a bit pricier than I expected but after the experience (and I'm all about life experiences) it was worth it. read more

I came here because I had a friend who referred me to check it out. As I walked in, I was greeted by a 'coach' and she gave an entire spiel about how the process works. You get a shot of aloe, a shake, and then a tea to drink. She's told me about how numerous people have seen great weight loss results from this and suggested I join the program and invite other people in my life to do so as well. In doing that, I'd gain some advantages like a free shake or something along the lines. It's not until I realized these shakes contain 'protein powder' from Herbalife. Herbalife seems to reel people in to buying over priced non-nutritional drinks that are synthetic and overly processed. If you cannot recognize 90% of the ingredients listed on the bottle, then that should be a huge sign that putting this into your body is probably a bad idea. I tried their smoothies and it seems to contain artificial sweeteners and products. The company itself is a pyramid scheme that only focuses on making money for themselves rather than caring about a consumer's health. Don't get me wrong, the people working here are very nice and sweet but they're only doing so to keep up their revenue by making you buy these overly priced protein shakes that are essentially equal to slim-fast. read more

Love the shakes here. The birthday cake is my favorite one. Everyone is really nice and helpful. This is my go to spot for a quick and healthy breakfast. A little disappointed that they charge $1 on the refills of tea, especially since they upped the price, but I can understand. The last time I was there, a guy named Drew made my shake and it was really good! I like the way he makes them the best and he is really friendly (and handsome) ;) I will definitely be returning. The service was really nice. He explained the three step process to us, we got our aloe shot which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The tea was really good, strong but slightly sweet. The smoothies are trash. When I came in he said it was like Jamba Juice but "better," and all I can say is that I saw all the Herbalife stuff and was turned off. When someone tells me it's a healthy smoothie, I expect there to be 95% fruit and veggies. The smoothie was grainy, and had a terrible after taste that clung to my tongue. My bf's drink was marginally better and a tiny bit less grainy. No thaaaaaaanks. For $9 for a small cup, I'll find a Whole Foods or nectar to go to instead. read more

I thought this place was going to be something similar to Jamba Juice. It's not FYI. Here's how it goes: You sit (not really a to-go place), shoot a shot of aloe vera juice, order an ice tea to your liking then order a shake to your liking. Total cost for one person was $9.00. It's actually a cool concept but here are the negative facts: 1. Shakes/smoothies are all Herballife. What's Heberallife? It's a multi-level marketing (MLM) company that sells powder type shakes. What is wrong with MLM companies? I don't have all day but one huge negative is that most people that sell from MLM companies all seem to be experts over night in whatever they are selling. They make grandiose claims on their products with absolutely no evidence or credentials behind them to back it up. 2. Nutritional Information is scarce. Both myself and my husband have allergies and when we asked if there were certain allergens in their products, they brushed the question off. This is probably the sole reason why I gave this place such a low rating. That's unacceptable. They did not look up or give us any ingredient list but when forced to answer the question, he admitted there was an ingredient we were allergic to. I later looked up the ingredients in Herbal Life out of curiousity. Soy protein is the first ingredient, fructose immediately follows. No wonder they taste so good. Sugar!!!!! 3. The price! For $9.00, I would of rather have gone to Whole Food where I could of got a smoothie made of nothing but fruit and vegetables. Ingredients I know are healthy. The whole time I was there, I felt like I was trying to be "sold" on how great their shakes and tea were. I just don't buy into all the health benefits they claim these drinks can produce. I am pretty impressed by the owner for opening an actual establishment when selling these products goes by a typical pyramid concept. I have to give him points for that and to leave on a positive note, if you do love these shakes and have bought into all the health benefits, this place has a great vibe.
