Great service and amazing acai bowls. It's a smaller shop so seating isn't plentiful inside. None the less it's still clean and comfortable to enjoy a refreshing bowl in this heat

Berry Me Bowl was delicious
Christy C.

Ordered Doordash and my order came very fast - 30 min or less! There is a deal of 30% off selected bowls so I got the Medium Berry Me Bowl and it was $14.38. Love that they have "Build Your Own Bowls" and it comes in 3 different sizes. However, I wish they offered unlimited toppings like how most acai bowl places do. They charge $0.99 each topping which is pretty pricey! The Berry Me Bowl was so beautifully stacked with plenty of strawberries, blackberries, goji berries, and blueberries on top, acai base in the center, and way too much granola! The fruits were very fresh and sweet and I enjoyed how much fruit was given! However, I wish there was more acai since I felt like there wasn't enough and there was too much granola. Overall, it tasted more like a fruit and granola bowl rather than an acai bowl so this was 7/10.

Really disappointed with the portions. See pictures. I paid $5 for each of the starter bowls, expecting a good serving of açaí and fruit, but there was hardly any açaí or fruit at all. The cups were overwhelmingly filled with granola, with large empty spaces where the açaí and strawberries should have been. My daughters were so disappointed. I understand that granola is included, but at $5, I expected the main ingredient to actually be açaí. This felt like paying $5 for a cup of granola with a little açaí and minimal fruit in the other order. Unfortunately, not worth the price. 4 customers lost...Also a grade B was noticed as we left.

Good price & variety of fruits. Great spot to grab açaí and walk around Old Town Monrovia.

Nutella Berry Toast

I've been craving a good açaí bowl and I'm glad we found this spot! There was only one lady working, but she was doing an amazing job keeping up with orders. You can tell she was taking her time to perfect these bowls. Thankfully, we beat the Saturday rush, so we didn't have to wait long. We ordered the Nutella Berry Toast, and it was so good--loaded with fresh fruit, crunchy granola, coconut, and just the right amount of Nutella. It was refreshing, and filling! It's located on a corner next to the Monrovia public library. Plenty of street parking everywhere. There's also seats outside so you can enjoy the outdoors.

I am a usual customer, but the bowl I have gotten has so much granola that there is barely any base.. I ordered 2 large bowls and both came the same exact way.. this is very upsetting :/

Build Your Own Bowl - Nature Acai Bowl (Regular)

Was in the area for a workout class and wanted a much needed sweet treat and found this in downtown Monrovia. Found Acai Bar, service was run by one employee and quick. There's in and outdoor seating. I got the Build Your Own - Nature which was a 12 oz., wished they had Pitaya as a base but there's only 3 bases; Acai, Ube, Majik. You can choose all 3, I liked the Ube more like creamy than icey compared to the 2 other bases. Topping you can choose 4; again limited to choices but sometimes less is more. Overall, good spot if you're craving an Acai bowl, there's lots of things to do walk around in downtown and people watch while you eat.

My #1 favorite place to get an acai bowl - I like to get the berry me bowl and add Nutella as a topping. I love their acai compared to other places because of the frozen consistency/texture. Sometimes I like to get their cold brew as well. The owner is really nice. I visit this location in Monrovia as well as their Pasadena location. Both places are cozy inside and have nice outdoor seating.

La La LOVE this place can NOT go wrong with anything you order!!

Recently went back twice and got better Normal fills bowls that were super tasty and again service Great as usual!

The texture of the Blue Majik
Katia M.

Really wanted to love this place since it's so conveniently located, but it was a miss. Maybe it's what I ordered? I ordered the make your own bowl with the Blue Majik base topped with bananas, almond butter, and granola. The base was wayyyy too sweet, enough that I couldn't even finish the bowl. Ate what I could because it was $11 I didn't want wasted, though even the texture was strange. It was more icy vs creamy. Again, maybe I ordered the wrong thing on the menu. Willing to give it another shot, but definitely ordering a different base next time

Mushy raspberries covered in dirt

So after 2 years I finally decided to give them a try again. What a gross disappointment. Granola, strawberries and Acai were fine. Bananas and raspberries were mushy. Seriously, save the mushy fruit for the smoothies. Plus the raspberries had dirt all over them. Worst of all was the insane amount of almond butter in my bowl. There was so much, it was all I could taste. As if this experience wasn't bad enough. Someone walked in with their cat. She left, came back in and proceeded to make a bowl. I can only assume there was cat hair everywhere. Thankfully I was eating outside as I am extremely allergic to cats. Total trash experience. I'll continue to go to Ubatuba in Pasadena instead

Service is good - staff were all friendly, willing to answer any questions you may have about their menu, and efficient. 1. Gula Aren Latte (5/5) Their signature latte drink that combines espresso, milk, brown sugar and cream top. The cream top was super smooth and cloud-like. The latte part was also smooth, creamy, and well-balanced. The flavor was very caramel-ly and creme brulee-like. I especially like that you can adjust the sweetness level on this drink. Even getting 25% sweetness did not result in compromise of the flavor. 2. Yuzu Espresso Tonic (4/5) This drink is a combination of yuzu, tonic water and espresso. They use real yuzu puree (not just syrup flavor) for the citrus sweetness, you get the fizz from the tonic water, and the roasted flavor from the espresso pour over. It's garnished with a slice of lemon/orange. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but it certainly is a refreshing drink. Will definitely be back.

It's nice to have a place where we can order our favorites and know we're going to enjoy them each time. What keeps us coming back is the consistency. With other coffee shops, a drink can be great one visit and noticeably different the next, but our experience with Tekosu has been dependable. Neither drink has felt like a hit-or-miss order, and that makes a difference when you're spending money on something you're looking forward to. The pricing is similar to other coffee shops in the area, so I wouldn't necessarily call it a bargain, but I'm happy to pay a little more for a drink that meets my expectations. I'd rather spend money on something I know I'll enjoy than take a chance and leave disappointed. Overall, Tekosu is an easy choice for us. If you enjoy biscoff lattes or matcha lattes, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try. Both have been solid go-to orders that keep us coming back.

I stopped by after work and ordered an Einspänner (Vienna Cream Coffee) along with two salted breads: cream corn and chocolate. Everything was delicious, and the coffee was a lovely treat after a long workday. Service was quick and friendly, too! Between the inviting atmosphere, tasty drinks and pastries, and comfortable seating, Danbi Coffee is definitely worth checking out. A sweet little spot to add to your Pasadena cafe list!

I live nearby and finally decided to pop in after hearing about this place so many times…read more The decor was minimalistic and tasteful. It's a long, narrow shop so seating may be limited if you have a larger party, but the ambience was very pleasant and nice. Menu is stacked with the names of different types of teas but offers zero description on any of them, so you have no choice but to ask the barista to describe the flavor profile of the teas you're interested in. The barista seemed a bit tired of explaining the tea flavors on the menu, and I honestly don't blame them at all. I'd be annoyed if I had to recite and explain the same large menu over and over again to countless customers throughout the day, when it could've just been written on the menu. If mgmt is reading this - you should fix the menu to make it easier for workers (and customers). This could also help move your line faster, which I've often heard complaints about. I ordered the Koan-Im milk tea, unsweetened, without toppings. I usually like my teas and coffees dark and less sweet, no toppings - especially when I'm trying a new tea shop so I can taste the quality of the tea first, and see whether they get their milk to tea ratios right. The Koan-Im oolong was described to me as a dark roasted oolong so it sounded like it would fit my preference. Unfortunately I barely tasted any tea in it at all, and the drink was mostly just milk. I'm not even sure it was fully milk, since I tasted hints of non-dairy creamer (I should've asked the barista about this before ordering but I didn't want torment her any further after she just rapped an entire menu to me, so I made a hasty choice here). Unfortunately I had to bring the drink home and add more tea to fix the milky flavor. My honest thoughts - I should've ordered a plain tea drink rather than milk tea, so I could at least taste the quality of the tea. I don't think this place makes milk teas that I would like. They're likely one of those tea shops that are popular for their sugary milk tea drinks that lean heavier on the milk and toppings instead. I'm sure their tapioca mochi is lovely, as is their popular "popcorn milk tea" but if you're a person who prefers darker tea drinks with less of the fuss and frills like I do, this place isn't for you.

My momma, my sisters, and I have always said the further you get away from San Diego, the worse the Mexican food gets! LOL! And I'm sorry, but it's usually true! Well, let me tell you, this place proved me WRONG! I'll make this quick! I ordered the Chilaquiles Divorciados -- half red, half green, topped with over-easy eggs, served with rice and beans. Now, they definitely cook a little differently than my family does, so I'm assuming they're from a different region of Mexico than where our family comes from. BUT DAMN DUDE!!! These chilaquiles were SO FREAKING GOOD!!! The flavors, the sauces, everything! I sat there thinking, where the heck has this place been hiding?! And I'm not even exaggerating when I say I would drive all the way back here JUST to eat these chilaquiles again! Whoever is back there cooking, KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!! BRAVO!!!
