I've walked by here many times, but yesterday was my first time actually going in. I visited with a fellow Yelp Elite and one of her co-workers for Happy Hour. We were seated at a table near the bar and our server, who was also at the host podium, was Dontay. He was the kindest and sweetest man. He went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We each opted to get one drink and no food. If you want to get the wind knocked out of you after one drink, this is your spot. The drinks were STRONG. I ordered the Market Street Muse and I could barely taste the limoncello. The vodka and basil were the most prominent flavors. I was feeling good. I'm rating this establishment four stars because the drinks on The Philadelphia Cocktail Trail were essentially existing drinks they had on their current menu but with different names. Same ingredients. I was hoping to see something new or related to America's 250th. Overall, though, the space was very calm and clean and I enjoyed being there. All the menu items sounded great, too. I'll have to pop in here for a bite to eat next time.

The burger and beer combo is the best deal in the city. Burger was cooked perfectly. My son got the raw steak frites, and I got the ribs. Love the fries - it had some fresh horseradish shavings and Parmesan. The ribs weren't juicy. Needed better bbq sauce too. Service was at the bar. The bartenders were attentive and the food came out pretty much on time. We were able to get drinks off the HH menu. The frozen cocktails are the best. And also the old fashion.

I'm not sure why I waited so long to try the chicken at Bud and Marilyn's, but better late than never! They serve a LARGE 1/2 chicken. I started with the thigh. I was smitten by the first bite. I was told the chicken is soaked in a buttermilk brine for 24-48 hours - dipped in a buttermilk dredge - covered with their 'secret recipe' seasoned flour - and fried in a 'pressure fryer' that cooks the chicken in 12 minutes. It was perfectly fried - so crispy - the texture and seasoning of the exterior coating was incredible. The chicken was tender and juicy - the thigh was the juiciest - I didn't get to try the drumstick as I was too full! I had the thigh and 1/2 the breast. The breast is my favorite and I savored each large delicious piece I broke apart. It's important to pick up the chicken and eat it by hand - I did cut mine in half for a picture - but didn't use a fork to eat it - you lose the 'panache'of the meal. I didn't use the hot sauce served with the chicken - I brought my own bottle of honey and poured it over the chicken and biscuits. It was heavenly! Which brings me to the Biscuits! The dish comes with 2 large fluffy buttermilk biscuits - they were golden brown on the outside and tender and fluffy on the inside! They had such a rich, buttery flavor. I took several pieces of chicken and layered them on pieces of biscuit, drizzled with honey! It was truly a 5 star fried chicken and biscuit dinner!

Our waiter was attentive, explained all seasonal options, and gave us great recs! We had 2 mocktails, one called Clean Livin', which was a grapefruit Paloma with hibiscus and they were also able to make a NA Bloody Mary, which was actually delicious! Sometimes mocktails are hit or miss, but they really hit a home run with both. The beet salad was outstanding; not something I would typically order, but it was recommended and now I'm obsessed with beets?? Thanks to The Love! It was savory, a little sweet, and the herb yogurt was earthy, bright, and the perfect balance with the beets. The burrata toast was delicious too, with crispy bread, fresh strawberries, and an arugula salad. It was seasonal and bursting with flavor. I love when restaurants showcase seasonal produce and this was the perfect example to highlight seasonality. If you're in Rittenhouse Square, make your way to The Love and you won't be disappointed!

Started with a special, which was the brie (Garden Fresh Figs and Brie - Figs from our garden, Brie Couronne, House made Lavash cracker and candied pistachios) and cornbread (Fresh Baked Cornbread - pepper jack & slivered scallion, chipotle honey butter). Both of these dishes were amazing from start to finish. My entree was the bolognese (Slow Braised Spiced Lamb Bolognese - handmade pappardelle pasta, summer tomato, herbs and basil whipped ricotta) and it was heaven in a bowl - so rich and flavorful I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life. First, the setting has a garden courtyard and is cleverly designed both physically and style of9kat3s, silverware and decor to emphasize the farm to table philosophy. Service was prompt and unobtrusive. The appetizer we shared, Hand-Rolled Ricotta Gnudi, was well made, flavorful and well-balanced. All the drinks were all well executed plus you can buy a glass of wine from the long list of wine offerings. Plus everyone liked their desserts, we shared a warm chocolate cake made with vanilla, another couple shared the Meyer lemon souffle cake, both of which were excellent. Everyone who had a fish entree, branzino or salmon, enjoyed the flavor of the ingredients with large, properly cooked pieces of dish. But, and you know a but is coming, I chose, based upon reviews, the Slow Braised Spiced Lamb Bolognese made with handmade pappardelle pasta, summer tomato, herbs and basil whipped ricotta. The pappardelle was marginally over done but the dish lacked flavor. Not sure what the "spicy" was supposed to be, or which herbs, but it was wasn't. I had to ask for salt and pepper to bring out some flavor and even that was inadequate. I wouldn't have been satisfied with this dish at a local diner to say nothing of one of the best regarded restaurants in Philadelphia. It was unsatisfactory. Perhaps it was just an off night for that entree. But as a tourist, I don't get to try it again or order or order the fish. A restaurant of this reputation and cost should not have that level of variability.

Everyone we interacted with was absolutely wonderful and pleasant, ranging from the team members to our fellow patrons. I had a gin and Sprite to drink and I ordered the burger for some grub. The drink was standard but on the strong side. I enjoyed the burger very much and found the fries to be hot and crispy, just as a good shoestring fry should be. Of course, we enjoyed the live music that swirled around the bar that evening. The band was great and upbeat. I would definitely return!

I've been to TIME multiple times over the last month alone and have always loved the food, music,…read moreatmosphere, and service, which is exactly why I chose to bring friends visiting from out of town here on a Friday night. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've had. We had a 7 PM reservation and arrived at 7:15 PM. I acknowledge that we were late and apologized to the host. However, we arrived within the stated grace period. When we checked in, the hostess explained that because we arrived later within the grace period, our 90-minute seating window would still end based on the original reservation time. We acknowledged that and had absolutely no issue with it. What made the experience uncomfortable was how aggressively we were reminded about the time throughout the entire meal. We were reminded at least 5-6 separate times how much time we had left. Comments like "just so you know you have 25 minutes left" and "our next party is coming in 5-10 minutes" made it feel like staff was actively trying to rush us out before our reservation time had even ended. Mind you, we already understood the policy. One reminder would have been enough. Instead, it completely changed the energy of the evening and made us feel unwelcome and pressured to leave. We had originally planned to stay through our reservation and then move to the bar for the live music afterward, but after being repeatedly rushed, we decided to leave entirely and spend the rest of the night elsewhere. The most disappointing part was the interaction with the manager, Eric. Rather than listening or showing any understanding, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He repeatedly insisted we were "15-20 minutes late," which was simply not true -- we arrived during the stated grace period. The issue was never the policy itself. It was the way we were treated throughout the night. It's unfortunate because this has genuinely been one of my favorite spots in Philly, and I've recommended it to multiple people. But this experience left a really bad impression, especially when bringing guests from out of town.

There are many tables, making it good for groups, but the interior is pretty bare. The wall is adorned with whimsical fox and chicken imagery, referencing the Hatch and Coop name. As of 05/2025, they supposedly offer 10% off your order by showing your SEPTA card. But, I'd confirm this offer before ordering to ensure it's honored. When I was there in the early morning, the cook (who also takes orders) didn't recognize the deal and didn't know how to punch it in. So, it was a bit of a letdown we couldn't redeem the deal, but we still wanted to try the sandwiches after hearing great things about them. I ordered The Hatch and Coop Sandwich (egg, cheese, chicken) on a round roll at the kiosk. You can customize your bread, egg (fried or scrambled), and cheese (provolone, american, or cheddar). The sandwiches come without any sauce unless you order sauce (extra $$) on the side. I highly recommend the Hatch Sauce- a typical mayo sauce with a little spice. I found The Hatch and Coop Sandwich to be just pretty good but I wish it had more heft to it. The chicken was juicy and well cooked, but I wish there was more. The cheese did the cheesing and coated the chicken, but the sandwich had far too many onions for my liking. With the Hatch Sauce, I felt the sandwich was tied together but it was a little odd to me the sandwich doesn't have sauce on its own. I'm giving Hatch and Coop the benefit of the doubt since it was so early in the morning, but I found my sandwich to be just OK. However, I will be back to try the fried chicken sandwiches, which I've heard rave reviews for.
