I am furious! Ordered through the dig mobile app which crashed as I prepared to pay. Then, after managing to get the order in, I wait for Grubhub to deliver. After two notifications that the food would be delivered late, the order was cancelled! I waited hours and have no dinner. To add insult to injury, the restaurant would not answer their phone after repeated attempts to reach out for a refund as Grubhub instructed. Unacceptable! I was a fan of the Suburban Square location, which I thought I was ordering from, but I'll probably never bring my business back here. Just want to add to my review that I tried the day after ordering to call the restaurant and still no answer. At last, today, almost a full 2 days after I originally ordered. After speaking with staff, I was told he was unable to help me with a refund because too much time had passed since the original order. I came on a Tuesday during lunch rush hour. I was a little confused by the options while ordering and the staff was really patient and kind, despite the line. I got my food in less than 5 minutes despite the long line, as the staff was very efficient. Simple model but delicious food. I got the: 1) Farm Greens with Mint, 2) Mac and Cheese, 3) Marinated Cannellini Beans, 4) Crispy Tofu, and 5) Herb Pesto. Every topping in my Make Your Own bowl was delicious. I was most surprised by the cannellini beans being so flavorful and the crispy tofu having such a great crisp. I'd definitely reorder these again. The greens were very fresh tasting and not soggy. It was a good portion of food for me. There is plentiful outdoor seating (metal chairs and tables) and there are plastic cups provided if you want water. But, I believe you can also bring your own bottle to fill. Indoor seating is a little limited depending on the crowd. Dig is a fast casual build your own bowl type of place, focused on making healthy food and specifically vegetable forward meals. We're a sucker for their carrots, sweet potatoes, and array of vegetable options. They have a variety of protein options but we almost always go for their chicken thighs. The staff is generally hit or miss -- some are friendly and some want you to keep the line moving at all costs. One of our favorites! What you didn't come here for: - Water: There is free water from a dispenser but the water has a strange flavor to it, likely Philly's fault. - Restrooms: There is a large single occupancy restroom with a Pin Code. - Accessibility: There is a second floor seating area that is optional. Otherwise everything is available on the first floor. - Seating: There are enough seats on the first floor that you'll usually be able to get a seat. If you can't, there are plenty more seats up stairs on the second floor. - Will it fill you up? Probably. It's sized for one meal though it's not massive either. If you're really hungry you may want to order an extra side. - Dietary Notes: They have so many options it's insane. I'm in town for a conference and walked by this fast food spot. I'm a big fan of build your own bowl kind of places and this perfectly satisfied my semi-healthy but yummy and hearty meal craving. The workers were friendly. I had now idea how this place worked but they happily guided me through what entails a bowl (1 base or 1/2 and 1/2, two sides, and one main protein). For my base I got 1/2 bread stuffing and 1/2 mixed greens. For my sides I got roasted broccoli and roasted carrots and a side of garlic aioli. I also got a cookie! Honestly, everything was perfectly delicious. Nothing was over salted. The bread stuffing had a hint of sweetness and savoriness - chewy, yet soft - soo good! The chicken was amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. I barely used the garlic aioli because the meal was already so flavorful and moist but I'm sure it adds a nice touch if you love saucy-ness! It felt like a beautiful Thanksgiving meal, but maybe even better. The only thing is that the roasted veggies seemed oily but they were still really good and seasoned perfectly. But I ordered a bowl here today and got the herb chicken and only got half the breast mind you the breast was small will show photo. After seeing how small I asked to pay for an extra portion to which I recieved the remaining half of my breast the small end. Ok... didn't say anything as I figured ok it'll probably be $2-$3. I had low expectations for dig because I'm not a huge fan of grain bowl restaurants, but was pleasantly surprised. I made a custom veg bowl and everything was seasoned shockingly well and the portions were large. The farro base was by far my favorite thing - it has small pieces of celery in it, and while I'm not usually a celery person it went very well with everything else. The Brussels were a little salty, but not so much that they became inedible. The bowl itself looks a little ugly because they truly just throw everything in there, but the flavors were there so I didn't really mind. read more

Great spot for fast casual lunches in University City (that aren't salad)! I love how fast this food comes out, which is great when picking something up to go. Atmosphere: There is indoor seating for around 15 people, though most people seem to take their bowls and eat elsewhere. You walk through the line and can select the sides / mains you would like, and whether you would like a grain or salad base. Food: I like the variety of options, especially their sweet potato and broccoli! I also appreciate how much protein they typically give, which makes for a much more filling lunch. The location has ample seating indoors and outdoors, and the line moves quickly. You line up, decide which base (rice) plus 2 veggies you'd like, and pick your protein and sauce(s). The staff behind the window adds them to your bowl. Simple and fast along an assembly line. The items are cooked okay. Some of them may be overcooked/mushy or burnt (cauliflower tends to be burnt). The price isn't cheap but also isn't steep. It's slightly higher than I'd expect given the quality, but the service is great so the higher cost *hopefully* goes to compensate Dig staff. Note, if you have any serious food allergies, you MUST ask them if your allergy is among the items. If it is, do NOT eat here. This modern lunch spot combines healthy and fresh food with a hip and fresh interior. They are also very accessible by creating an app that allows you to order ahead and beat the lunch rush. I ordered the classic dig which included charred chicken, charred broccoli with lemon, roasted sweet potatoes, and brown rice. It all tasted delicious, especially with the garlic aioli sauce and sriracha sauce they make there. I love how you could tell by eating here that they are using local and fresh ingredients that make you feel good about what you're eating.
