My husband called them at 1:57pm. They called back at 2:02pm and the heat pump was fixed by 3:26pm. He first said that they would come by tomorrow (Friday) but then he asked my husband how old he was. When he told him that he was 82 the owner, James Riggins, said he would be right over! Super nice. Super knowledgeable. And very compassionate. I would call no one else EVER. These are the people that you want to do business with over and over again. Will recommend to everyone.

Upstate Air completed the inspection and said that the unit was functioning properly, so we continued to closing. Upon moving in, we found that the outside unit was extremely low on Freon (pressure measuring only 7.2); the evaporator coil was rusted and leaking; the auxiliary drain pan was completely full, rusted, and leaking; and the primary drain was stopped up and covered under about 6" of dirt under the deck. The unit was not functioning properly as they stated, and I had to immediately replace the unit, as repairs would have been even more expensive. Upstate Air either did not complete a full inspection as they stated, or they missed several major issues and said that a unit in dire need of replacement was functioning properly.

Our household, my wife and myself, was using this particular…read morebusiness/AC repairs/maintain services several times over certain period of time. I would not recommend it for any except small "you can do yourself but have no time" repairs. The owner/operator Ken Moses demonstrated lack of knowledge and experience in solving and repair AC problems over substantial period of time. However small maintains and small non essential repairs like to repair damaged insulation in the garage stand unit (cut and replace), to clean clogged grain line and restart backed up system - were fixed all right. The examples of everything else that we tried to repair included changing motors twice - second time for no obvious reason as it did not do any job as he said it would, vent, capacitor twice - second time with no obvious reason as it did not do any job and he said it would, welding the damaged tube in outside unit (the damage was actually a result of his poor work after he poorly installed new vent in outsite unit and it was resulted in cutting the tube and in leak of refrigerant (filling the refrigerant twice as it continues to leak after him welding it) : those repairs did not went well and needed follow ups to make them work and eliminate damage. After the first leak of the refrigerant caused by poor vent installation by this operator- the AC is not keeping the temperature day long-it goes extreme up after 12pm when outside temperature goes up until the evening when the air cools down. The representative kept coming with new repairs of all the different parts/components every time , including adding refrigerant twice), claiming that each of those times particular repair would!!!work for sure!!! And I did not work. The pattern shows he does not know and he is guessing. The last three repairs resulted in around 1k for us in payments. Each of three of them failed functioning again in couple of hours after he had left. Instead of following up and either provide solution or acknowledge he does not know, he continued come and bill more and more every time - none of those times the problem was solved. Should he just mentioned that he does not know - we just would not end up with unnecessary repairs/bills of more than 1k for the last three and more than 3k after he poorly installed the vent that cut the tube and all this started (It is where/when the problem started) . There is no such thing as customer care and customer satisfaction for this business, but abusive pattern of making more money on regular loyal customers. My very kind and too loyal wife, who supports small local businesses at every opportunity, was taking it all from then for a long time - trying to give them an opportunity to find out or correct ect - that was a mistake to let it so. These are the reasons I would not recommend this company for anything more than small insignificant maintains/repairs .

I waited as long as I could before turning my AC on this year. I turned it on June 12, later that…read moreday it started making a knocking sound. For a $125.00 service call, I was told the fan was going out and the cost of a new one was $750.00. The technician told my brother the AC unit was old and tired. I knew the unit would need to be replaced at some point. The old unit a 2.5 ton gas pack had been installed October 10, 1997. Almost 30 yrs old, nope they don't make them like that anymore! The knocking had stopped, it was still working and cooling. I knew too that was just a matter of time before it just stopped completely. Not wanting to put a $750 fan in a unit that old, I started looking at places with at least a 4.5 to a 5.0 rating. I am a die hard review reader and review writer, and I check ratings on both Yelp and Google(some times there is a BIG difference between those two places). I got estimates from 3 different places. The crawl space under my house is very low, and both technicians from the other two places could not get under the house, one wasn't too concerned with really checking, and was only going to replace what he could see from the outside looking in(gave me a quote on 6/24/26 for 30 days). The other technician from one of the three places, told me that once they got the old unit removed they would be able to see better, and based on what needed to be done there would be an up charge added to the estimate they had quoted to me(gave me a five day quote, 6/23/26 to 6/29/26). On June 25 Easton Brannan came out to give me an estimate. Easton Brannan was able to get under there and see what was what and give me an estimate. Easton is very nice and friendly, he told me what he saw and explained what needed to be replaced, I told him I was afraid of "critters", he assured me that once finished everything would be sealed up nice and neat,"so no critters could get in, under or around anything"!! Thank you Easton! Installation day was on July 10, 2026 at 9:30 am, the fellas were running a little behind schedule , but when they arrived they introduced them selves as Johnny and Chris, and about how bad traffic was in Easley. They are two friendly, respectful and nice men. They answered any questions that I had, and explained things they were doing. They went to work, took the old unit out, broke and took up the concrete slab that it was sitting on, took out the old return flexible duct line, and replaced the entire return flexible duct line with a new one. Johnny told me the old one had a hole in it, and a lot of the air was going under my house, as well as the heat in the winter. Johnny came in and installed the new thermostat and explained how to use it, turned the gas back on, came in to check that the unit was working correctly for both the air and heat, he did ask me if I wanted the old thermostat(I said no),and left me the batteries to the old one and the instructions for the new one. When they got it installed, Chris did the flashing and Johnny did yard clean up. They finished around 3:00 pm. Nice job Johnny and Chris, thank y'all for being so nice, sealing EVERYTHING UP (so no critters can get in) and installing my new 2.5 ton American Standard system.

Upon arrival, Mark's mantra to me and a trainee "don't touch anything" proved sound advice as a live wire arced electricity throughout the metal housing.
