Upstate Air completed the inspection and said that the unit was functioning properly, so we continued to closing. Upon moving in, we found that the outside unit was extremely low on Freon (pressure measuring only 7.2); the evaporator coil was rusted and leaking; the auxiliary drain pan was completely full, rusted, and leaking; and the primary drain was stopped up and covered under about 6" of dirt under the deck. The unit was not functioning properly as they stated, and I had to immediately replace the unit, as repairs would have been even more expensive. Upstate Air either did not complete a full inspection as they stated, or they missed several major issues and said that a unit in dire need of replacement was functioning properly.

He found exactly what was wrong in my HVAC system was back working again. The drain system was blocked, which cut the power switch off. He is going to come back tomorrow to do a maintenance on my HVAC system. He is so knowledgeable and so good. I asked him to be my regular HVAC service now. The other HVAC company had failed me.
