The dad, Ron Dockery, started the business. He did all of the plumbing in our new house back in 1999. It was done right, affordable, and in good time. I have recommended his firm several times since. Normally, I did all of the maintenance after that but, 25 years later, I had a five minute job that I couldn't reach. I called Dockery Plumbing because of their previous work/quality/price and two young guys showed up. They were inside our cabin no more than five or six minutes and charged me $200. Additionally, their work came undone within a couple of weeks. That was more than a year ago and I'm still peeved at being ripped off. We've used Dockery for years. In-laws used them before us. Had good experience, until... Contacted them for installation of faucet at street water meter site. They said they'd come out on 4/16, and they did (yay!). They said they'd come back at 2 p.m. on 4/24 to complete the job. We added a second inside job to replace a small length of pipe (small job), and they again said 4/24 (nice, since one visit for two small projects). No show and no call on 4/24. I called them at 3:30 and found that plumbers were tied up with an earlier call. Would have been nice if Dockery had called me, but that did not happen. At my prompting, they said they would call me back to let me know if the plumbers completed their current call in time to get to my job on 4/24. At about 4:15 they called and said no-go but plumbers could come the next day, 4/25, at 2 p.m. I wondered why we wouldn't be first call on 4/25 since our job should have been done on 4/24, but they said it had to be 2 p.m. So, we waited for them on 4/25. At 3:15 with no plumber, I called. With no apology, I was told the plumber was on the way to the job before me, which should take 15-30 min. and the plumber should be at our house within the hour. The actual terminally was "I think" the plumber will be able to get to our job. I asked for a call back with status and was told the plumber would call when on the way, and the contact (Hayley, I believe) would call with a status. It's 8:12 p.m. on 4/25. No call, no plumber, no nothing. We'll find a new plumber, thanks. read more

Dockery's is absolutely WONDERFUL! I had my water heater stop working on Saturday night. After checking with gas company, it was not that. Dockery's sent Charlie , very sweet fella out on Sunday morning. He Checked things out and had to get a part , but would be Monday. Charlie and Mike both came out to figure out the problem. They figured out it was a carbon monoxide sensor. Mike said he had to order one and he put a rush on it. The next day I had hot water. Mike was a wealth of knowledge and Charlie was great too. Both very respectful, called to keep me informed of progress and when they would be arriving to my home. Trent Davis is also wonderful and runs a great company. Highly recommend Dockery's read more

The plumbers who showed up were rude, broke the pipe on the toilet they attempted to install, didn't take responsibility for it, didn't want to fix it, and water leaked all over the floor. They had agreed to connect water to the kitchen sink, but when they arrived, they didn't want to do that work. When we tried to have some electrical work done, the person didn't seem to know what to do, and he refused to install lights in the hall ceiling. Don't bother with this company. When I tried to email them to complain, their email on their website doesn't work. I filled out their form to complain about their terrible service, and they never contacted me to apologize or try to fix the problem they caused. Find someone else. read more

Very disappointed. Called for low water pressure. We were concerned about our well and tanks. After waiting all morning they finally arrived at 11:30. Then took a quick look at the equipment and informed us that they couldn't help us we needed a well service. We were fine with that. Then got the bill. $195.00 for nothing. Way too expensive. We understand that there should be a service fee to come to the property but $195 is ridiculous. read more

Cannot recommend. They were fine a few years back but as of late they are a disaster. They installed the plumbing after we replaced our countertops and it started to leak. Made a morning appointment weeks prior to the schedule date and they no call no showed later claiming the work was to be done in the afternoon. They just couldn't be honest up front. Called later and the one person there is really rude (ironic to be in a service industry). Fast forward months and the rude person is still there, answering phones. Apparently the have been bought out by someone named "Trent" and this is the result. read more

Responsive and reliable. Actually had a live person answering phone I was able to schedule repair without having to wait for a call back!

At 9 a.m. I noticed our hot water tank was leaking. We are new to the area and didn't have a plumber. Ask a friend and she said to call Dockery first. By 3:15 these kind folks picked up a new tank and installed it. Very reasonable rates. Plumbers explained everything they were doing including a need for a new release valve. I have used Dockery's Heating &Air on several occasions and the quality of their work and speed to respond are exceptional. They ran a gas line for a pottery kiln through demanding conditions with a genuine ease and expertise. They even installed dual regulators and safety valves, increasing the robustness and reliability of the supply line. This is great peace of mind when firing a kiln up to 2,400 degrees! They have also fixed our dual fuel heater on a cold day in January, the same day I called and asked for help. These folks are definitely go-to contractors when these type of services are needed. read more

We have depended on Dockery's for years to take care of our heating and air needs as well as plumbing. They have always responded in a timely manner and given us great service. Today, they replaced our upstairs heating and air system and once again we have cool air at our house. We plan to continue calling this company whenever we have a need. I called to get an estimate for installing two light fixtures. I also wanted their placement in my ceiling moved from where the original fixtures were installed. They came out the next morning, gave me an estimate and then sent two electricians within a couple of hours so it all got done in one day. They were friendly and answered my questions. They got the work done and even swept and vacuumed before they left. I'm very pleased and will call them again if I need something else done. read more

Service was ok...had to return(after having call back to remind them) to complete service. Five?! hours of service, service call charge and Freon-$850. At these rates, it is easy to see why they were available for immediate service. They got my money this time, next time, not. Caveat emptor: be sure and get an idea of what they charge...$85 per hour! read more
