Most recently, I waited over an hour past my appointment time before being seen. This wasn't a one-time occurrence--it's been a recurring issue throughout the months I've been coming here. What made the situation more frustrating was being told by the front desk that they had never been instructed to stop accepting walk-ins, even when appointment schedules were full. That explains why having an appointment often feels meaningless. I've also been told there was enough time for both a manicure and pedicure, only to end up staying well past closing. I've even offered to split services and come back another day to help accommodate scheduling challenges, but the delays continue. After waiting over an hour at my most recent appointment, I asked whether anything could be done for the inconvenience. For the second time, the manager told me he couldn't offer a discount because he needed to pay his employees. That response completely missed the point. No customer is suggesting employees shouldn't be paid. The issue is management repeatedly overbooking, running behind schedule, and failing to respect customers' time. As a parent with a husband and baby waiting for me at home, an extra hour isn't a minor inconvenience. Time matters. If the salon had been transparent about wait times and taken accountability for the recurring delays, I likely would have remained a customer. The technicians are talented, and the salon itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, great service can only go so far when appointment times are treated as optional and customer concerns are met with excuses instead of solutions. Beautiful salon. Talented technicians. We were on the hunt for a one stop shop for decor for a small backyard party during Covid-19:…read morelights, furniture, rugs, pillows, etc. This turns out it's harder to find than I expected unless you go with the big time players like Kehoe that was a bit pricier than I wanted for this particular party. I loved the rustic look of the furniture Elegant had and their prices were better than most. While they didn't have any rugs or pillows to rent (sigh), their wine barrels were perfection to use as high boys and ended up getting a bunch of their low benches to put together as low tables (to use with floor seating). And they were also able to provide lights for my backyard. While every other vendor told me that postposting due to rain or Covid-19 wasn't an option (say whaaa?) I also liked that they were flexible. The main issue was that getting ahold of them was extremely difficult. If the Yelp reviews didn't give me faith that they'd show in time fo the bash I would have been extremely worried. It took a lot of stalking for both me and my party planner to get a contract, pay for the contract and a date to set everything up. There is an emergency # and found that we had better luck when we called the emergency #. They set everything up a few days in advance so I didn't worry too much about them being a no show. I let them know they needed to come at 7am to get it all done since I was headed out for a busy day and they showed up even a few minutes early. An hour later my yard was lit up beautifully and I was really happy with the look of the furniture for the price. They set it all up on a Thursday morning and said they would be back on Monday to pick it up (also prompt for pick up) so we got to enjoy a long weekend of beautiful lights. While the service leading up to the event wasn't the best, I'd probably still use them since it was smoothly the weekend of the event. However, I'd hope they would be more on top of their communication next time.

Finally, I got a text with just a price tag - no itemized breakdown of costs, no responses to my questions about table sizes, nothing. I left another message, asking for an itemized quote and haven't heard back. Its so surprising, considering how responsive and professional they were the past two summers when I rented from them. Itemized contracts, detailed terms. everything you would expect. This time there was none of that. Did they lose their sales staff? Are they going out of business?
