I hired Laura as a DOC (day of coordinator), but she really did SO MUCH more than that. She helped with vendor recommendations, she made timelines, and especially in the weeks leading up to the wedding, she really made sure everything was in order. When I was in the early planning stages, I wasn't 100% positive I really needed a day of coordinator, but I decided to at least see what they had to offer. What sealed the deal for me is when Laura showed up to our first meeting with a sample binder she'd put together for another bride's wedding. A binder! With organized tabs and labels and everything! A woman after my own heart! Sold! Laura helped me get the ball moving with lots of vendor recommendations. She even offered to come to our meetings with vendors or to provide us with some questions in advance to ask when interviewing vendors. Then once we had most everything in place (venue, dj, florist, photographer, caterer, etc. etc.), there were only a few emails exchanged between me and Laura until about 4-6 weeks before the wedding. During that time, I mostly emailed her with "wedding etiquette" questions, which she is very knowledgeable about! Then, about 4-6 weeks before the wedding, Laura asked me to send her ALL of our vendor contracts. It was actually pretty hard to gather them all up since some were saved on the computer as PDFs and others we had as hard copies. But I eventually scanned all the hard copies and emailed Laura PDFs of ALL of my contracts. Because I was so busy with work, I didn't really have time to explain to her what everything was when I sent the email, but lucky for me, Laura set up a time for us to meet and go over everything. And then... she brings it... the glorious binder! Filled with all of our vendor contracts and a detailed day of timeline she's put together simply by reviewing the contracts! I didn't have to explain a thing - she read through all the contracts herself and put the binder and timeline together on her own! It was beautiful. A work of art, really. From then on, Laura and I spoke much more frequently. She made sure we were on top of final payments. She offered to come with us to all the final meetings with our vendors. She circulated the day of timeline with all our vendors in advance and served as the main point of contact so I didn't have to be bothered with all the little questions. It was so incredibly comforting to know I could rely on her to handle everything. I trusted her completely. She had it under control. Then about 5 days before the wedding, I gave Laura all of the "day of" items she would be in charge of (programs, bubbles, card box, cake serving set, toasting flutes, cake topper, escort cards, table numbers, guestbook, etc.). I never for a second worried about any of it - it was all in good hands! The wedding went off without a hitch! Maybe that's bad luck, but I'm really not going to complain. Everything was flawless, and I have Laura to thank for that. I never had to question or double check anything on my wedding day - I got to enjoy every moment of it with my new husband, knowing Laura had everything under control. It was amazing. Thank you so much, Laura!! Oh, and when we got back from the honeymoon, everything we'd given Laura before the wedding was sitting in our living room waiting for us, along with all of our gifts. We'd given Laura a key to our place in advance so she could bring everything back there for us after the wedding. It was perfect. Chicago Casino Suppliers was the right choice, priced cheaper than other casino companies and they happened to have an opening on the night of our party! Booyah! We got their "Vegas Baby' package in which you pick any 4 tables for the evening for $1295 which includes 3 hours of play. The tables we picked were Blackjack, Poker, Roulette, and Craps. We paid $595 at the time of booking to reserve the date for us and then paid $700 (+ tips for our dealers) on the night of the event. We booked Chicago Casino Supplies from 7-10pm which included the setup, take down, dealers for each game and all the chips. When I arrived at my venue at 5pm for our 6pm holiday party, all equipment had arrived. I was super happy to see they even threw in a photobooth for us! It's not your standard photobooth but took digital pix that it emailed to us later that week with a casino border - I've added a few to the listing here so you can see how they turn out. A representative from the company came at 530pm to brief me on what would happen which was a nice touch. All of our dealers were really nice the entire evening. I totally can't remember the young man handling the poker table's name but he was so helpful in guiding me in what to do, looking at my cards & teaching me what to do, possibly screwing me over in the process but I trust he didn't. :) My entire group had an insanely fun time! I was beyond pleased with how everything was set up prior, cleaned up after and the professional yet fun nature of all the dealers. Great company to deal with!

The photo booth came with props and they also were happy to set out some extra props that we had purchased. The photo booth attendant, Jovani, was great and the photo booth was a hit with our guests. I was referred to the Party Helpers for my traditional Indian engagement party. This event was…read moreheld at a park districts banquet hall with 110 guests. This was the very first time that mine and my fiancé's extended families had ever me. I never had any reason to doubt the capabilities of The Party Helpers since they were referred to me and my family by a great catering company. My father in law and I both had conversed with the co-owner of the company for months prior to the event. When the event got closer we spoke with him about 6-8 times during the 2 weeks before the engagement party to ensure everything was in order. My father in law spoke to the co-owner at 4:30pm which was 24 hours before the event and they reviewed everything for the party. The co-owner was extremely nice and seemed to have everything in order. He also insisted on us paying him the day of the party even though my father in law asked about payment over the phone or to mail a check 3 separate occasions prior to the event. The appetizers were supposed to be ready to go at 6 which is when the ceremony started. My father in law was a part of the ceremony and of course things get hectic during big events so he didn't realize that the party helpers were not there at the start of the ceremony which they were supposed to be there 30 minutes before. The ceremony was 15 min in and my father in law had to miss most of the ceremony because he was trying to get a hold of the party helpers which not only did they not pick up the food from the catering company and bring it to the event while having 3 staff members help all night, but on top of that they turned off their phone so we could not even reach them. The whole thing was intentional and appalling. The other co-owner called three days later to apologize and said that her co-owner did not even put us on the calendar. I have no idea how someone can talk to my father in law multiple times for months and never have scheduled the event into their calendar services. The company may have been good at one time which is why the catering company referred it, but it is falling apart and almost ruined my engagement party if it weren't the catering company to step in and save the day with their own servers. I hope no one has to go through that sort of unnecessary stress on such an important day. It thankfully did not ruin the night, but did take away some precious moments for my family and fiancé's family.

Both bartenders were extremely friendly, fun, and courteous. They came early to make 2 big batches of our signature drinks to have on hand. They were high energy, dancing behind the bar to the dj's music the entire night! Everyone loved their contagious energy! Whenever I walked by they offered me drinks immediately and even memorized what my mother in law ordered so whenever she came back they had her drink ready for her to hand out!
