Working with Coreen and Stacy at Vintage Place Setting was a dream. We hosted a 9 person Christmas…read moredinner and wanted plates, glasses, and utensils that would make the people feel special. Mission accomplished. Vintage Place Setting gathers materials from estate sales so there's all sorts of mixing and matching they can do with really fun, novel stuff. They are very responsive and easy to work with, and I'm excited for our next event with them. We visited the showroom in person, where Coreen and Stacy masked effectively, and showed us a curated set of their massive collection. They sent us an estimate over email. We had a small order so we picked it up and dropped it off. Since we dropped off within 24 hours of the event, we just scrapped and rinsed and didn't have to fully clean and sanitize.

We had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Nicole Fox of Vintage Place Settings in Chicago…read more We hired her to provide all decor, design, and table settings for a wedding event at our home and paid $4,000 upfront. Unfortunately, due to COVID-related circumstances, we had to cancel the event about 3-4 weeks in advance. Despite the advance notice, Ashley refused to return any portion of our payment. There was no willingness to offer even a partial refund, credit, or any kind of reasonable accommodation. What made this even more frustrating is that she did not actually lose the date. Our chef ended up using her services that same night for another event, so she still had work and income for that day. Even with that, she still kept the full $4,000 and made no effort to work with us. Communication felt rigid and unhelpful, and the entire situation was handled with little consideration or professionalism. If you are considering working with Vintage Place Settings, make sure you clearly understand the cancellation terms before paying and get everything in writing. Based on our experience, once payment is made, there may be little to no flexibility if plans change. We would not recommend this vendor.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience renting from Sanchez Rentals. We rented a 16'x32'…read morewhite tent for our daughter's high school graduation party. The tent was delivered and set up the morning of her party. I was so impressed with the delivery and set up and the tent looked brand new... and included the string lights. I was impressed by how hard they worked to find everything we needed to make her grad party special. Initially, I wasn't planing to rent a tent. But five days before her graduation party, I realized we were going to need a big area to host all her guests. It was stressful and I wasn't sure we'd even be able to find one. Most tents had already been rented, but thankfully Sanchez had a couple of 16'x32' tents still available. I rented one, (and would've also rented tables and chairs for them, but they were sold out.) But, they helped coordinate tables and chairs through another party rental company that they trust. They also coordinated delivery of their equipment with the tables and chairs, which made the planning process much easier for us. One of the best suggestions they made was a custom balloon arch (Impressively, it was designed by their daughter). It wasn't something I had originally considered, but I'm so glad we said "yes" because it was a focal point of the party. You can tell Sanchez Rentals truly care and take pride in their work. would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for tent rentals.

If you are on the northwest side of Chicago, you need to pick this business! The first time I rented, we got a fun 7 in 1 inflatable for a picnic in a forest preserve. I love their rain cancelation policy. If the weather is showing 100% chance of storms, they refund you no problem and nothing is delivered the day of. Since weather in Chicago is pretty unpredictable, I thought this is a no brainer! The second time we rented was for a fun house party and we rented a popcorn machine. Who doesn't love fresh popped popcorn? I picked up the machine since their location is not terribly far from my home. Great and helpful staff who helped load it in my vehicle and took the time to show me how to operate the machine. Return was easy as well, just need to call before you bring it back to ensure someone will be there to receive it. We will use this family business for years to come!

Yvonne was truly one of my favorite vendors to work with throughout the entire wedding planning…read moreprocess. From our very first meeting, she listened to what I wanted and took the time to understand my vision instead of steering me in another direction. She was one of the only vendors who genuinely heard my ideas, valued my input, and helped bring them to life rather than trying to fit me into a standard package. We went back and forth on so many details, from flower choices, arrangements, and design ideas and she was incredibly patient every step of the way. Whenever I was torn between options, she helped guide me to a decision without ever making me feel pressured. Her creativity, experience, and honest advice were invaluable. When I walked into my ceremony and reception spaces, I was honestly speechless. Everything was even more beautiful than I had imagined. The florals and candles elevated the entire wedding and tied every detail together perfectly. I received countless compliments throughout the night, and even now people are still talking about how gorgeous everything looked. If you're looking for someone who truly listens, communicates well, and creates stunning work, Yvonne is the florist you want.

From the start, she took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, spending many calls with us to make sure every detail was perfect. She sourced beautiful flowers and created stunning arrangements that matched our vision perfectly. The bridal bouquet looked exactly as we had imagined, and the bridesmaid flowers were gorgeous. She also made a lovely entryway display to welcome our guests, which set the tone for the entire celebration. When our outdoor plans changed because of rain, she was incredibly flexible and calm under pressure, allowing us to decide the morning of where to set up. She built our mandap beautifully for our first ceremony, and then completely transformed it into a breathtaking arch for our Western ceremony. The floral flip was seamless and so impressive! We're so grateful for her creativity, professionalism, and kindness. Everything came together beautifully thanks to her and her team. Highly recommend Yvonne and YJDecorating to anyone looking for a talented and dedicated florist and decorator!
