John did a perfect job at our recent housewarming party…read more He showed up early and eager to prepare the bar prior to the arrival of our first guests. Not only was he great at the bar, but he also helped out by walking around with a platter asking guests if he could swap and refresh their cocktails. He kept the bar stocked (and restocked from our basement) during the party so that we could enjoy time with our friends. He also did a great job cleaning up at the end of the night. John is a true professional who treats others with kindness and care. Not only will we be using his services in the future, but multiple friends mentioned that they will be hiring him as well for future celebrations!

From the first correspondence…read moreto the handshake farewell of our wedding, Ross and his team were the most professional people I have ever worked with. I've been in the entertainment world in Chicago for 25 years, and I don't want to work with anyone else ever again. Ross and the team at unMuddled were honest, fair, and went above and beyond to not only make us feel special, but make our guests feel special. unMuddled cultivated a specialized menu for our wedding, and worked with us not only on the menu, but also helped us figure out what alcohol to buy. They crafted specialized cocktails for both the bride and groom, and honestly stole the show in the best way possible: they didn't need any tending to. When I first reached out to Ross, I immediately felt at ease, and never once worried about how our wedding would turn out. Ross, I hope you read these reviews... I can't thank you enough for helping to make our wedding the night it was. You're the best.

I could not recommend Tony more! We hired Tony to bartend a party at our home for about 35 people,…read moreand he was wonderful. When I first contacted him, he responded quickly and we were able to hammer out the details in short order. Prior to the party, he worked with me to create a custom list of cocktails for the evening that matched the menu. When I realized, the afternoon of the party, that we had not put a mocktail on the list, he improvised a (last minute) refreshing non-alcoholic option. Tony arrived early, and put together an excellent set up that made good use of limited space. Our guests enjoyed Tony and his well-made drinks. Many of his drink recommendations had an interesting history, and our cocktail-loving guests loved hearing about the origins of the drinks. In general, Tony was friendly, efficient and ensured that all guests were having a good time. When the drinking was winding down, Tony volunteered to start clearing and washing dishes, which was entirely unexpected but very welcome. In the past, I hired bartenders through a staffing service, and the experience was decidedly inferior to my experience of working with Tony. Tony was much more experienced and professional than individuals hired through a service. It was also especially helpful to be able to work with him on a cocktail menu - and ingredients - in advance of the evening. In addition, Tony appears to be very experienced with and comfortable in the house party setting, which means that he was able to work well within the limitations of making cocktails without the benefit of an actual bar! Finally, Tony's rates are quite reasonable, and we found his services to be an excellent value. I will certainly hire Tony in the future!

What becomes a problem is that the owner committed in writing to provide a refund, did not issue one and then did not respond to follow ups regarding the situation. When a vendor agrees to issue a refund and then does not do so, that is an issue with business practice and deserves a negative review. I followed up for two weeks after the refund was promised and never received a refund or a response. *** The customer service is upsetting at best. I agreed to the estimate and then verbally and in writing was told they were taking a credit card just to hold the event. I ran into an issue with the event less than 24 hours after agreeing to the estimate and called them right away. The owner did not respond even though he had been quick to immediately respond before. The rep told me she would follow up quickly and didn't. They charged me 2 grand, never told me that they were and never sent a receipt. They then told me they would issue a refund and did not. They are now refusing to answer calls or emails. I need a resolution and they seem uninterested in providing customer service. Do not use them.
