The other company tried for seven months to fix the issue but they weren't successful (and they charged me each time). I called Ken and explained the circumstances to him. He said he had some availability later that evening and swung by the house. In a matter of a few minutes, Ken analyzed the issue, got parts from his truck and fixed it!!! We decided to have Ken maintain our pool since! Over the last four months, Ken shows up when he's supposed to, our chemicals are typically well balanced, and our pool sweep is still performing well. We had no idea when we gave them the chance to build our pool, the amount of problems we'd have from dealing with the so called "project manager" who only visited the project 4 times over 8 months and never took accountability for his poor response time, mistakes, and arrogant attitude. Or how about being ghosted by the owner when we had issues way above his "project managers" head. No making it right, or apologizing, just covering up for employees and not treating the customer as #1. This company shouldn't be in any construction business, in fact after this project, we could run a pool company since we had to do so much of the leg work ourselves. They had no showroom, we had no help with design, contractors would show up late in the afternoon and evening to work far after dark so our neighbors weren't happy but all day no work was done. They had to re do more than 10 things on our pool from concrete, to grout, to replacing a $6k heater they blew and so much more. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this unprofessional, irresponsible company if you can even call it a company.

We had already had a very bad experience with Dalamar at this point and were skeptical about signing a pool contract with them after we heard that they like to cancel home contracts before closing. After going back and forth with Cody on a pool design, we were ready to move forward. We asked them to amend our home contract to remove their right to cancel it if we sign a pool contract. We didn't want to risk them canceling our house and then expect us to pay them on a pool they built on a property we don't own. They said they would send over the addendum to ensure us that they would not cancel so we can get started on the pool asap. Instead they sent us a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that said nothing about the agreement we spoke about on the phone. The NDA said we agree not to give Dalamar a Negative review forever or pay a fine of $10k plus attorney fees if we did. This left a bad taste in our mouths and we contacted an attorney who advised us not to sign it. We ask Dalamar if we did sign this NDA were we guaranteed to get the house when it was completed. Their response was, and I quote, "Nope". They said they will cancel our contract if we don't sign it though. Mind you, the house was 14 months into the building process and approximately 2 months away from being completed. We had no guarantee that the house we custom designed was going to be ours and they were trying to bully us into building a pool before we ever got possession. In the end, they did cancel our contract on the house and no pool contract was ever signed. They finished the backyard on that property with a retaining so close to the house, potentially making it impossible to put a pool in that backyard. They were all about the money and required a huge deposit up front to even get started. They had just started this Blufin company and to the best of my knowledge had not built any pools yet. They had no experience in building pools. They have no business building homes or pools. Dalamar has zero ethics or integrity. Google " Dalamar Lawsuit" and see for yourself. He was very easy to work with, has an excellent crew, and is very knowledgeable about pool placement, drainage, construction, etc. Jason works, inspects, and is on site continually throughout the process. More than 4 months after our pool has been completed, he still comes out regularly or sends a crew member, to make sure all is running perfectly with the pool.
