Matt was great in fixing our garage door issues in June of 2023, but issues arose again within 6 months of purchase of the new door. Over the past two years, we have called at least 8 times and left messages. There has been absolutely NO response. We understand that the 1yr warranty on labor has expired (due to nonresponse), but our 4yr warranty on parts is still effective. Again, the response has been absolutely ZERO!!! Our garage door broke when the temperature dropped significantly. So when the door wouldn't open, I just assumed it froze. It obviously was more than that.... We discovered the spring above our door was broken and my car was trapped in the garage. We called at 6 pm and by 6:45 pm, a tech (Carlos) was out fixing our garage. They were fast, honest, thorough and walked my husband through everything from what he was repairing to seasonal maintenance. We have an 18 year old MasterLift that he said was in great shape and that our doors wheels may need to be replaced in a year or two, but it wasn't urgent. I appreciated Carlos' honesty. Quick, efficient and pleasant! It was less than 12 hours between contacting them to request an appointment and the tech fixing it. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response on a Friday evening after hours and it was all done through their website. Price was reasonable. Very unhappy! I got my garage door fixed when the machine broke down. They came promptly and fixed it. However, the wall mounted remote stopped working in 3 weeks. Well... the garage door continued to make loud popping noises and I determined it was time to get a new garage door. I didn't even bother shopping around with other companies, because I had been so satisfied with A Absolute in the past. I got in contact with Deanna, the office manager, and shortly thereafter Matt came out to the house to take measurements and go over options with me. We decided upon the garage door (well insulated) with windows (C.H.I. Brand). The garage door was ordered and within five (5) days, Matt was out to install it. He explained the install thoroughly and noted he would have to cut away a few chunks of drywall on each side of the garage to accommodate the new rails and supports. (I didn't care about this, but it was nice of him to give me a heads up, in case I was particular about the wall). It took Matt a few hours to get the new door installed. Afterwards he walked me through the maintenance (lubricating the hinges and rails). Matt was very meticulous with his clean-up, picking up all of the scraps and materials, including the old garage door and parts. Couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process from ordering to install, thanks to the excellent customer service team of Matt and Deanna (behind the scenes). My 15-year-old Craftsman opener croaked. No complaints. These guys did a repair two years ago and told me it was on life support. The young man came out today to do a Liftmaster replacement. He wasn't doing a hard sell. I didn't just fall off the pumpkin truck. Nobody's brushing hay and straw off my shoulders. Nobody calls me Zeke or Buford. He rightfully showed me that the other Craftsman motor was two years older. They could give me an $80 discount to replace both on the same service call. That means new motors and keypads and clickers and rails and chains. A total of $690 for two systems. You bet. Go ahead. The cool part? Our serviceman pointed out a secret button that the home's previous owner had hidden inside the main garage door. So well hidden...we hadn't noticed it in five years of owning the house. Think about The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and the secret entrance to U.N.C.L.E. headquarters` through he tailor shop? Same deal. A button at chest level, secreted just inside the door. Allowing you to walk out and reach back to activate the door without triping the electric eye. Very cool. (Go check your own homes for secret passages and hidden rooms and buttons that do something interesting.) read more

Matt did a great job: removal of old door, installation of new door, in about 2 hours. The job was very straightforward and Matt and his technician did a fantastic job. Do not use this company. I had one broken spring and the guy replaced two of them because he said the door springs were obsolete and some additional hardware as well was changed. The door was a recently changed clopey from HD. I smelled BS. Anyway, he fixed it under an hour and charged me over 400 for the repair. Much higher than the quoted price for the broken spring. read more

Woke up sat morning to an open garage door, realized it never closed night before. After playing it with realized torsion spring broke. Called Matt around like 10am, he was able to get out my house with in a few hours. Gave me a fair price and inspected rest of my door and gave it thumbs up. After he finished we go to test it and my opener was making an awful sound, turns out that I ended up breaking my opener by forcing it to open my door earlier that morning before i realized spring was broken. Matt had parts in truck gave me good price and went ahead and installed my new opener as well. I would highly recommend Matt and I will def pass his info to anyone looking for garage service. What unprofessional service. It took two days to get a quote, for which I thought we might be on the right track with Matt at A. Absolute Garage door Co. to come put on a new garage door. We then spoke and confirmed that I would hear from him after they came and measured the outside of the garage, to make sure it was the correct fit and set up an appt. He told me he would call if the appt. could be earlier, but there would be a call after they measured the garage and as well and 1/2 before arrival time. Neither happened and he calls 1 hr. after he said he would arrive. Talk about bad business, what type of ethical and professionalism is that so we are on to other garage door companies now to start over. I don't recommend them at all unless you want to do a dance with a company that obviously doesn't want your business. read more
